test(ingestion): make #2868 error-logging tests data-free to fix collection - #3528

…ection test_ingest_error_logging_2868.py imported _FakePersistence, _FakeSession, _client and _make_shipping_event from test_webhook_router_v2_1342.py, which the real-data-only cleanup removed, so collection failed on main. Drop the ingest-batch route cases that needed a fabricated event, test _failure_diagnostics directly with no payload, and keep the chain-verify case using MagicMock and a local app builder. Remove the stale detect-secrets baseline entry. Signed-off-by: Christopher <131207452+PetrefiedThunder@users.noreply.github.com>

Keep an ingest-route logging regression test
When the POST /api/v1/webhooks/ingest handler itself regresses—for example by dropping logger.exception, omitting tenant_id, or adding request data to the log—this replacement remains green because it calls _failure_diagnostics directly, never invokes the logger, and supplies neither a tenant nor a payload; the surviving chain-verification test exercises a different handler. Retain a data-free test that reaches the ingest handler and inspects the emitted ingest_batch_failed record so the #2868 logging and data-boundary contract remains protected.

ingest_batch_failed through ingest_events, since TestFailureDiagnostics only
exercises _failure_diagnostics. Use a valid synthetic payload and fake
persistence that makes store_events_batch raise SystemError; assert the 500
response and logged traceback, tenant, correlation ID, error type, event count,
and source, while confirming TLC and product values are absent.

REVIEW: FAIL gemini 66733bc
Findings:
- Import fix OK: the _FakePersistence/_FakeSession/_make_shipping_event imports are gone, and the MagicMock stubs return no fabricated data (request is only a correlation_id holder; the chain verify persistence only raises RuntimeError).
- Made-up data still present: TENANT_ID = "tenant-a" (used in the principal override and asserted in chain verify), plus key_id="test-key". Generate the tenant id with uuid4 in a fixture, or take it from real recorded data.
- Removing TestIngestBatchFailureLogging loses coverage. TestFailureDiagnostics only unit-tests the dict returned by _failure_diagnostics. Nothing now checks that POST /api/v1/webhooks/ingest emits ingest_batch_failed with a traceback, tenant_id, event_count or source, or that lot codes and product descriptions stay out of the log. The inline comment explains the removal, but there is no labeled "Coverage gap" note. Add one (in the test file and the PR body) naming those unverified assertions, or restore a data-free route test.
- CI at this SHA, at review time: Ingestion full suite (xdist signal) failed in the "Run ingestion suite" step (logs not available until the run completes). Test ingestion and PR Gate: Backend are still pending, so 3.11 is not confirmed green. Other failures (Workflow Contract, Privileged Workflow Tool Pinning, Frontend Unused File Guard, Repo-root security/RLS suite, Tenant Isolation & Auth Tests, SAST, PR Gate: Secrets, Vercel) need triage to confirm they are pre-existing on main.
Not merging: merge freeze.

Re-add a POST /api/v1/webhooks/ingest failure test that uses caplog to check the traceback, tenant_id, event_count, source, error_type and correlation_id, and that the uuid4 canary lot code, product text and location never reach the log. REVIEW: PASS gemini d7c1505
Delta 66733bc..d7c1505 re-reviewed against my earlier FAIL:
- Made-up data: fixed. TENANT_ID and KEY_ID are now uuid4 per run; "tenant-a" and "test-key" are gone. Lot code, product, location and source in the one ingest event are uuid4 canaries.
- Mocks: persistence.store_events_batch only raises SystemError, chain verify only raises RuntimeError; session/request MagicMocks return no records.
- Coverage: TestIngestBatchFailureLogging restored as a data-free route test. It asserts ingest_batch_failed at ERROR with a Traceback, tenant_id, event_count == 1, source, error_type and correlation_id, and that none of the canaries reach the logs. No Coverage gap note needed.
- xdist: the 6 failures in branch job 120458459358 are identical by name to main job 120366117787 (test_edi_envelope_integrity warehouse extractors, test_email_ingest_service CSV 401 gate, 3x test_epcis_export_1342, test_sel409_session_auth). They are pre-existing, not caused by this PR.
CI at d7c1505 when reviewed: the ingestion full suite, PR Gate: Backend and Head SHA Check Guard were still pending, and no Python 3.11 result was available yet. This PASS covers the code only. A merge still needs green required CI, and the merge freeze is in effect.

Cause
services/ingestion/tests/test_ingest_error_logging_2868.pyimported_FakePersistence,_FakeSession,_build_app,_clientand_make_shipping_eventfromtest_webhook_router_v2_1342.py. The real-data-only test cleanup (072870d) removed those helpers, so pytest failed at collection on main (03903ee) and every backend PR went red.Fix
The fakes stay gone. The test file is now data-free:
TENANT_IDandKEY_IDare generated withuuid4at runtime. No hardcodedtenant-aortest-key.TestIngestBatchFailureLogging(route test, restored): it posts toPOST /api/v1/webhooks/ingestwith one structurally valid event, the minimumWebhookPayloadallows.uuid4canaries generated at runtime. They are not invented supply-chain records.MagicMockpersistence store raisesSystemError, which puts the handler into itsexceptblock.caplog, the test checks thatingest_batch_failedis logged at ERROR with a traceback, and that it carriestenant_id,event_count == 1,source,error_typeandcorrelation_id.TestFailureDiagnostics: checks_failure_diagnosticsdirectly, using aMagicMockrequest and no request body.MagicMocksession, and its persistence stub only raises..secrets.baseline: the stale entry for the deletedSECRET_TLCandSECRET_PRODUCTlines is removed. No other test imports the removed fakes. No coverage gap remains from the earlier removal.

Overview
Fixes pytest collection for
test_ingest_error_logging_2868.pyafter the real-data-only cleanup removed shared helpers fromtest_webhook_router_v2_1342.py(_FakePersistence,_FakeSession,_client, etc.).The file no longer imports those fakes. It uses a local
_build_appwithIngestionPrincipaloverrides,MagicMockpersistence/session stubs, anduuid4tenant/key/canary payload fields instead of hardcoded “customer” TLC/product strings. Stale.secrets.baselineentries for the removed secret-keyword lines are dropped.TestFailureDiagnostics(new) asserts the ingest 5xx helper_failure_diagnosticsdirectly:error_type, correlation id (generated or fromrequest.state), and that only diagnostic keys are returned—no request body.TestIngestBatchFailureLoggingis slimmed and switched tocaplog+ JSON log parsing foringest_batch_failed(traceback, tenant, batch shape, redaction).TestChainVerifyFailureLoggingstays on the structlog recorder but usesMagicMockfor the session.Reviewed by Cursor Bugbot for commit d7c1505.
