Add the missing recovery-pause capture assertion.
assert_snapshot_stays_pending has no call site. The lifecycle tests only assert publication after completion, so they can pass even if a store-bound capture becomes Ready or Failed while recovery is paused. Add a recovery-pause capture test that holds the capture, asserts it remains pending, resumes recovery, and then checks publication.

Add publication assertions to direct capture callers.
The multi-container restore and cleanup tests call wait_for_snapshot_ready directly. That helper only waits for Ready; it does not validate spec.storage.storeID or the publication descriptor. Their later checks cover restore behavior and artifact cleanup, not the store-bound publication contract.
Add snap.assert_store_bound_publication(content) after each direct successful capture, or move the assertion into wait_for_snapshot_ready. This is a test-coverage improvement, not a currently failing production path.

🗄️ Data Integrity & Integration | 🟠 Major | 🏗️ Heavy lift
Upgrade guidance depends on an operator step that the chart cannot enforce.
The operator Deployment and agent DaemonSet restart at different speeds. After removing both switches, the operator binds new content immediately. Captures that land on a node still running the old agent are recorded the legacy way. The new restore path cannot use these captures. The only protection is the sentence "Do not start captures until the agent DaemonSet rollout has completed".
This is a backward-compatibility risk on the upgrade path. The rollout switches existed to prevent it. Consider one of these options:
- Make the operator stop binding until the DaemonSet rollout is complete.
- Give the user a verification command, for example
kubectl rollout status ds/<name>.
Add the command to the docs at minimum.

Every successful capture must now record spec.storage.storeID and a publication descriptor for the captured container, and the artifact listing must include publication.json, so a green run proves the artifact-addressed path ran rather than the legacy one. These tests fail against any PageBroker build that does not implement the PVC artifact backend; hold this PR until that build is published. Signed-off-by: Oleg Kushniriov <okushniriov@nvidia.com>

Both values existed only to sequence the stack: pageBroker.artifactAddressing kept --storage-config away from a PageBroker image that could not parse it, and operator.bindNewContents let an operator postpone bound captures until every agent had been rolled. With the PVC backend in the same release the first has nothing to protect, and the second guarded a window one DaemonSet rollout long that is now documented instead. PageBroker always receives the store configuration and the operator binds every new content whenever a store is configured. Content created before the upgrade stays unbound. The operations guide tells operators to finish the agent rollout before starting captures. Signed-off-by: Oleg Kushniriov <okushniriov@nvidia.com>
A PVC publication has no index file: the directory is the publication and its relative path is the handle. The backend never writes publication.json, so the listing check would fail against it. Signed-off-by: Oleg Kushniriov <okushniriov@nvidia.com>
What this PR does / why we need it
Adds the PVC end-to-end qualification gate as test code. Every successful capture must now record
spec.storage.storeIDand a publication descriptor for the captured container, so a green run proves the artifact-addressed path ran rather than the legacy one. A PVC publication has no index file, so the artifact listing is checked for the image files andmanifest.yamlonly.Removes the two rollout switches. With the PageBroker backend below this PR,
pageBroker.artifactAddressingandoperator.bindNewContentshave nothing left to gate: PageBroker always receives--storage-config, and the operator binds every new content whenever a store is configured. The values, the chart guard, the operator flag and the e2e overrides are gone. The operations guide replaces the two-step procedure with the one remaining caveat: on an installation that is already capturing, finish the agent DaemonSet rollout before starting captures, because a node still running the previous agent records a legacy capture the new restore path cannot use.Which issue(s) this PR addresses
Part of #237.
How was this tested?
pytest --collect-onlycollects 17 lifecycle tests.test_workload_scripts.py,test_setup_chart_command.py,test_setup_helm_overrides.py) pass.helm unittest(59 cases),helm lint; operator:go testforcmd/managerandinternal/controller.Special notes for your reviewer
Base is the Go/chart PR below it. Hold this PR until a PageBroker build with the PVC artifact backend is published, then run it on the integration branch with images from a
push-artifacts.yamldispatch. Merging it earlier turns the nightly e2e red on main.Does this PR introduce an API change?
