The README follows v0.40.2-dynres.1: the point tag, what each host serves, the release matrix, and the muse-glimmer rows (#474 folded in). It had not moved since v0.34.4.

The README

The rest

Main is merged in (2b273b45f). The conflicts were in README.md and BINARIES.md.

The README had not moved since v0.34.4. Its banner now names the v0.40.2-dynres
fold, and its deploy table lists each host's actual build: Apple Silicon on
0.40.2-dynres-0-g5623192 since 2026-10-11, gfx1151 and the H100 on 0.35.0, and the
ai-server CUDA host on its last recorded 0.34.4. The generated release matrix is
regenerated for 0.40.2-dynres; only mlx-metal has a run, so the other surfaces
read "not run".

The delta table is re-based on v0.40.2 at llama.cpp b11351, with each
"upstream lacks this" claim re-checked against v0.40.2's source:
- MoE + MMQ: llama.cpp#29953 merged on 2026-10-08, after b11351, so 903 stays;
- gemma4 image chunk vs batch: llama.cpp#29773 (in b11351) now caps the image to
  the ubatch where the fork sizes the batch to the image;
- gemma4 on MLX and model identity: v0.40.0's embeddinggemma-2 and its
  runner-specific manifests;
- a "Not taken from upstream" note for embeddinggemma-2 and gemma4 audio on MLX.

The deploy record: BINARIES.md's row for 0.40.2-dynres-0-g5623192, the fold
record's deploy section, and the release and production preflight runs, with
the home prefix written as ~/.

…cpp and on MLX

One table for the options a request or Modelfile sets, which runner reads each, and which reload the model: the
fork's image_min_tokens/image_max_tokens, kv_cache_type and prompt_cache_ram, and upstream's num_ctx and
draft_num_predict. Includes what muse-glimmer measured on Metal (2026-10-11): its GGUF tags ignore the image
options, and on MLX it reads image_max_tokens=1120 as unset.

…immer's KV is priced, explicit image budgets and draft_num_predict on MLX

Follows #464, #465, #466 and #468; stacked on #461.

Resolved README.md (keeps the muse-glimmer format row and main's 22-character whitespace row) and BINARIES.md
(main's rows from #486 replace this branch's). The banner now names the point tag and what each host serves, read
from /api/version on 2026-10-13; the release matrix is regenerated for v0.40.2-dynres.1; and 903's row says what
#462 made it: #29953 backported plus the y-tile guard.

Review wanted before merge: docs only. The README now shows v0.40.2-dynres.1. Please check your own host's row in the deploy table and in the release matrix.

CUDA rows on 2b273b4: correct as of now, checked against the live container.

One timing note: a deploy of main 377f9d14 (the point tag + #487, stamp 0.40.2-dynres.1-4-g377f9d1, a Go-only swap) is gated and queued on this host now. It waits for a production-like canary (both GPUs visible, both platforms) and production's idle gate. If it lands, the CUDA row and the mlx-cuda matrix row change. I'll post the new stamp, time and preflight here, or in a follow-up PR if this one is already merged. Merging now is fine from the CUDA side.

gfx1151 review of the README at 2b273b45f: the rocm7 rows are right, with two wording points.

Deploy table: correct.

Release matrix: the rocm7 row is right. It is runs/preflight-rocm7-0402-dynres1-release-g3960244.json: PASS 27, SKIP 5. The one skipped group is the MLX build pin, which has no MLX payload on ROCm.

Point 2: "cuda, mlx-metal and rocm7 here are the deployed serving surfaces" is not yet true for rocm7.

  • Its row measures the release build on a bench container, not production.
  • Until the deploy, say "rocm7 is the release build, measured on a bench container; production runs 0.35.0", or drop rocm7 from that sentence.

Also, for the README's next pass: #488 folds upstream v0.40.3 (draft, Go only). Upstream pauses the local GGUF compatibility migration there, so a v0.40.3 deploy no longer writes a converted copy of each legacy GGUF into the store.

Both wording points are in ed0351a6a.

Thanks to both of you. The CUDA host's queued deploy of main 377f9d14 and the gfx1151 deploy can each update the table in a follow-up when they land.
