Review comments at @.github/scripts/flake-issues.ts:
- Line 259: Update the completion check around filesRead so it verifies that
received lane, round, and shard reports cover the planned matrix before treating
the hunt as complete; reject incomplete coverage even when at least one JSON
report was read.
- Around line 132-138: Update the result selection in the `spec.tests` flow to
classify each JSON test by its `outcome` before choosing an error result: ignore
expected outcomes, and handle unexpected and flaky outcomes appropriately so
expected `test.fail()` failures are not filed and unexpected passes are
detected.
- Around line 284-300: Update the open issue retrieval assigned to open to use
the paginated GitHub API, combine all returned pages, and exclude pull requests
from the results. Preserve the existing exact in-memory title comparison so
issue creation checks the complete set without relying on search syntax.

…inate open issues CodeRabbit on #90: - The outcome decides, not a result status: an expected test.fail() failure is green and never filed; a test.fail() that passed is filed as an unexpected pass; flaky outcomes are filed too. - The job receives the planned matrix (--lanes, --rounds from the plan job, --shards) and fails when a planned cell uploaded no results (a lane that never booted, a shard that died), after filing what did report. - Open flake issues are listed through the paginated API (gh api --paginate --slurp) and matched by exact title in memory, so a capped list can't cause duplicates. Tests: .github/scripts/flake-issues.test.ts (3 of 6 fail on the previous logic), now run in check.yml with the docker/ script tests.
Draft: A2 ci-speed slice (items 4, 5, 6, 9). Do not merge: parent reviews and merges.
Goal
Cut the e2e lanes' wall-clock without dropping a spec, without retries or longer timeouts, then make the nightly run find flakes before they block a PR.
What changed
Before/after, release suite, real runs
Before: parent's measured baseline on main (6 green runs): lane image build 280 s single / 291 s multi; playwright --with-deps apt 21-260 s; e2e tests 311 s / 313 s; inject mounts ~63 s; lane job totals 9-16 min single, 8-14 min multi; image built 3x per run.
After (this branch): image job once per run, parallel with check/rust/worker (build ~336-351 s, save ~6 s, upload ~5 s). Per lane: download ~5-10 s + load ~13-15 s (build, cache-mount and inject steps skipped); playwright chromium 1 s on every lane; e2e tests 180-236 s per shard (was 311-313 s whole); lane jobs ~3.7-4.7 min (was 9-16).
Critical path (image -> slowest lane): ~11.1-11.7 min (runs 39766045028: 11m41s, 39769322116: 11m08s), down from ~13 min typical and up to ~16 min unlucky; variance collapsed (apt gone, one build). Compute: 1 image build per run instead of 3.
Sharding verdict: SHIP. Max shard 236 s < whole-suite 311 s on release; every release lane finished faster than its unsharded baseline. No spec dropped (setup+policy repeat per shard by design; bulk 71 splits 40/31).
