Review comments at @docker/e2e-local.sh:
- Around line 121-125: Update the `flock` invocation and status handling so lock
timeouts use a dedicated exit status and are captured without triggering `set
-e`. Print the “slot is busy” message only when that timeout status is returned,
while preserving the wrapped lane’s nonzero status without labeling it as a lock
timeout.
- Around line 444-445: Update the E2E_KEEP=1 branch in docker/e2e-local.sh to
write the background sleeper’s PID to KEEP_FILE before the branch exits, so
later runs and the down command can manage the kept stack.
- Around line 107-108: Update the flock invocations in the automatic-slot and
named-slot paths so their nonzero status is captured without triggering set -e
before error handling runs. Initialize rc before each invocation and assign the
command’s failure status to rc, preserving the existing slot-retry and
named-slot handling behavior.

…rite the keep sentinel CodeRabbit on #88: - Under set -eu a bare flock that returned 99 (busy slot) exited the script before rc=$? ran, so E2E_SLOT=auto never tried the next slot (demonstrated: the old pattern exits 99 on the first busy slot, the new one takes slot 2). Both flock calls now use rc=0; ... || rc=$?. - The named-slot wait prints 'busy' only on its own -E 99 timeout status, never after a normal red lane. - E2E_KEEP=1 started the sleeper but never wrote $KEEP_FILE, so a later run could wipe the kept stack and down could not stop the sleeper. The sleeper's pid is now written to the sentinel.
Draft — item 12 (parallel e2e slots) plus the always-dumped lane logs from item 9.
