fix(templates): drop KubeStellar leftovers from issue forms - #404
Conversation
The bug report form asked for kubestellar-snapshot.sh output and linked a 404 troubleshooting page; the doc issue form linked a nonexistent hivecommons/kubestellar README. Ask for page URL and browser/OS instead, point doc reporters to README "How content is sourced", and replace the kubectl kcp epic placeholder. Read all three templates at the PR head and the two it doesn't touch (feature_request.yaml, incident_postmortem.yaml): no kubestellar/kcp text remains anywhere under .github/ISSUE_TEMPLATE/. The new doc_issue.yaml link targets README.md ## How content is sourced (line 20 on main), which exists. The diff covers exactly the three checklist items in #403 — including removing the bash <(curl …) instruction from bug_report.yaml — and touches no workflow files. Looks correct to me.

Read all three templates at head 5728c9d and checked them against the tree, not just the diff. Looks correct to me.
README.md:20has the## How content is sourcedheading, so the new link indoc_issue.yaml:15-17resolves.grep -i 'kubestellar\|kcp' .github/ISSUE_TEMPLATE/is empty at head — no leftovers remain in any form, including the two untouched ones.- All five
ISSUE_TEMPLATE/*.yamlparse, and fieldids are unique per form (bug_report.yamlnow: description, page-url, environment, reproducing, expected, contribute, additional). - The removed
bug_report.yamlsnapshot field was the only place that asked reporters tobash <(curl …)a script from another org's repo; dropping it is a net reduction in what the form asks people to run.
Diff matches the PR body claim-for-claim; no workflow files touched. Not approving — that is a human's signature — but nothing here needs more than a glance.

Closes #403
The docs repo's issue forms were copied from KubeStellar and still asked docs-site reporters for KubeStellar-specific input. This edits only
.github/ISSUE_TEMPLATE/(no workflow files):bug_report.yaml: removes the dead "Making a Good Trouble Report" link and the "Output from KubeStellar-Snapshot.sh" field (which told reporters to curl-and-runkubestellar/kubestellar's script). Adds optional Page URL and Browser and OS inputs.doc_issue.yaml: replaces the deadhivecommons/kubestellar"dual-use documentation" link with a pointer to README "How content is sourced", so reporters know synced project pages are fixed in the project repo.epic.yaml: replaces thekubectl kcpWidget placeholder with a docs-site example. No changelog fragment: issue forms are not a user-visible site change (
changelog.d/README.md, "What qualifies").Claim evidence
