feat: install Git, archive and HTTPS Skill sources with exact restore - #473
Install standard plugin packages directly from Git or an archive, and standalone
Skills from compatible HTTPS publishers, while retaining exact saved versions
for sync, repair and transfer to another machine.
For example, agentplugins skills add https://publisher.example --skill review --target codex discovers the selected Skill's complete file inventory, validates
and normalizes it through the existing installer, and saves the publisher and
Skill name. The lock pins every file's address and hash. Explicit update can
advance the version; locked restore refuses changed historical bytes.
Scope
Complete packages: HTTPS/SSH/SCP Git, provider browser links, and HTTPS/local
ZIP, TAR, TAR.GZ and TGZ, including extensionless downloads.
Native Git credentials and host verification, bounded archive acquisition,
safe extraction, immutable commits and original archive-byte checksums.
Website Skills: unversioned .well-known/agent-skills/index.json and legacy .well-known/skills/index.json catalogs with complete files[] inventories.
HTML at the preferred path falls back to the legacy path; malformed JSON is
rejected. Scoped publisher paths remain scoped.
Separate typed website intent and lock, exact acquisition without rediscovery,
raw and normalized digests, shared-store authority, explicit update and
per-client historical repair provenance.
Portable executable metadata preservation for existing GitHub Skills.
Discovery is an emerging convention, not a finalized new standard. Website
artifact dialect 0.2, redirects and HTTP executable metadata are unsupported.
No HTML scraping, publisher script execution, YAML fallback, frozen VS Code
implementation changes or weakening of existing Skill validation.
Validation
Existing source transport evidence includes real TLS public/private Git, native
loopback SSH/SCP, archives, saved lifecycle and exact cold restore. Historical
review and test records remain under docs/plans/source-transports-e2e; old
workflow success is not claimed as current-head CI.
Website extension:
Public CLI E2E against a disposable TLS publisher: add, actual nested resource
projection, locked sync, export/import, restoration without the index, cold
repair, explicit update and refusal of modified historical bytes without
changing state or lock.
Final Go 1.26.10 focused CLI regressions passed in 12.250s. Focused final
domain/acquisition/installer website checks passed; full acquisition,
environment, manifest decoder/editor, domain, installer and state-v2 checks
also passed locally.
Pinned golangci-lint 2.13.2: zero issues for CLI and agentplugins, both
changed-line and full size/complexity/import-boundary checks.
Read-only independent review verified URL confinement, complete resources,
source authority, exact replay and portable Unicode file/directory collision
refusal before downloads. All identified findings were addressed.
Real Uizze ui-radar acquisition and normalization succeeded. Feishu discovery
and complete acquisition succeeded, but its tested Skill's nested metadata is
rejected by existing strict validation; no compatibility bypass was added.
Local full usecase suite has an existing Gemini retry fixture panic at public_native_retry_test.go:168. The exact test also fails on clean original
PR head 7aa99d5a42469e54c15ca7cf9f988bbebf9eef4b with Go 1.26.10. This is not
presented as a green full-suite result.
SOURCE ONLY / UNRELEASED. Keep this PR unmerged. No CLI publication or release
was requested. CI for the updated head remains separate from local evidence.
Project installation is developed in #472; fixture/native-Git evidence does not
qualify native agent execution, account authorization or an authoring release.

Walkthrough
This change adds direct Git and archive package sources, including source parsing, acquisition, dependency locking, provenance tracking, and repair. It also adds transport and lifecycle tests, documentation, and a Linux SSH workflow.
Changes: Direct Git and archive sources
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Source grammar and dependency contracts install/integrationctl/agentplugins/sourcespec/*, install/integrationctl/agentplugins/environment/*, install/integrationctl/agentplugins/adapters/dependencymanifest/*, docs/plans/source-transports-e2e/sources-*
Adds parsing and normalization for Git endpoints, provider URLs, HTTPS archives, and local archives. Adds archive dependency and lock fields, source selectors, validation, and source keys.
Git and archive acquisition install/integrationctl/agentplugins/adapters/sourceacquisition/*, docs/plans/source-transports-e2e/archive-*
Adds native Git resolution and acquisition, plus archive download, format validation, bounded extraction, package selection, and snapshot creation. Adds transport and archive-policy tests and review records.
Dependency resolution and lock lifecycle cli/internal/agentpluginscli/deps_*, install/integrationctl/agentplugins/environment/*, docs/UAP_DEPENDENCIES.md
Routes Git and archive requirements through resolution, locking, staging, replay, synchronization, and update paths. Passes operation contexts through package finalization and storage.
Direct add and saved-source lifecycle cli/cmd/agentplugins/main.go, cli/internal/agentpluginscli/{add_multi.go,environment_session.go,lifecycle.go,manifestedit/*,read.go,saved_*,source.go,source_direct.go}, README.md, docs/DIRECT_PACKAGE_SOURCES.md
Adds direct-source CLI routing and saved dependency handling. Manifest editing and source reporting retain archive URLs, checksums, paths, and Git endpoints.
Provenance, repair, and verification cli/internal/agentpluginscli/{repair_multi.go,source_repair.go,source_*_e2e_test.go}, install/integrationctl/agentplugins/{adapters/statev2/*,domain/*,installer/*,usecase/*}, .github/workflows/source-transports.yml, docs/plans/source-transports-e2e/*
Carries source kind, URL, and archive checksum through installation state. Repair uses recorded source coordinates and revisions. Tests cover provenance, updates, cold restores, cancellation, and SSH transport; the workflow requires selected real-SSH tests on Ubuntu.
Fix transitive alias collisions and archive selector parsing before merging. The Git-path diagnostic, Azure table row, and literal-plus restoration instructions also need correction.

Make the "corrupt payload" case flip a payload byte, not a name byte.
The first fixture entry is plugin.json (11 bytes). Go's writer adds no local extra field to this entry. The local header is 30 bytes, so local[40] is the last byte of the entry name. The case therefore fails on inconsistent ZIP local name, which the name-check path already covers. No test exercises the ZIP payload CRC and deflate checks in archiveExtractZIP/output.write. A future change that dropped the CRC check would still pass this suite.
Compute the data offset from the local header lengths:

По просьбе владельца добавляю вариант следующего расширения источников: standalone Skills через HTTPS well-known discovery.
Feishu публикует индекс /.well-known/skills/index.json, Uizze — /.well-known/agent-skills/index.json. В live-популярной выборке каталога это 29 из первых 200 записей. Общий вход можно сохранить таким: agentplugins skills add <publisher-url> --skill <exact-name>.
Предлагаемая интеграция:
отдельный адаптер Skill-источника читает preferred/legacy индекс и получает полный объявленный набор файлов либо проверенный архив;
повторно используем транспорт/ограничения загрузки и распаковки из этого PR, затем существующую нормализацию standalone Skill, проверку и проекцию;
сохраняем origin, точное имя, координаты и хеши исходного/нормализованного содержимого; update создаёт новую фиксацию, restore не подменяет изменившиеся байты;

- Let saved update replace a website Skill pin without requiring the
previous pinned bytes; the candidate is still verified before publication.
- Report context cancellation during a Skill file body read as
context.Canceled, matching the request path.
- Cover locked replay refusal after publisher change, deleted pinned bytes,
untrusted TLS certificates and the 256-file pin bound.
- Forward HTTPS Skill acquisition through the production source acquirer, so
website installs work in the real binary. Cover it with a composition test.
- Refuse SCP-style Git hosts and users that start with a dash, and pass `--`
before every remote Git endpoint.
- Normalize the publisher URL once so the default alias and saved identity match.
- Reuse one HTTP client per acquisition and bound the whole acquisition at 10 min
while keeping a 30 s per-request limit.
- Write Skill files through os.Root with O_EXCL.
- Assert certificate verification errors by type; share one Skill-name rule.
…dpoints
- Refuse ssh:// hosts and users that start with a dash, as the SCP form does.
- Use domain.ValidSkillName in conformance instead of a fourth copy.
- Derive the default alias from the normalized publisher URL.
- Document the Unicode behaviour of the shared Skill-name rule.
