Reviewed in an isolated worktree off main (8b1951c), separate from #981 and any local changes.

Why CI fails here: this PR changes only package.json, so bun install --frozen-lockfile stops every job at Install dependencies (error: lockfile had changes, but lockfile is frozen). Reproduced locally.

Fix: #985 cherry-picks this PR's commit unchanged and adds a regenerated bun.lock (+31/-35, vitest and its transitive deps only; resolved against registry.npmjs.org). No config or test changes were needed.

Verification (vitest 4.1.2 on main vs 5.0.2 on #985):

• Unit: 59 files / 712 tests / 712 passed on both, identical test names and statuses (compared via the JSON reporter from real runs; vitest list is static in v5, so it undercounts it.each/loop tests and isn't comparable).
• Failure detection: a deliberately wrong toThrow expectation makes vitest 5 exit 1 (re-run on chore(deps-dev): bump vitest to 5 with regenerated bun.lock (fixes #982 CI) #985 head deb1b0a with recorded exit codes: FI_EXIT=1, restored run exit 0, worktree clean).
• Build: pass. E2E locally: 282 passed, 2 skipped. chore(deps-dev): bump vitest to 5 with regenerated bun.lock (fixes #982 CI) #985 CI: Build, Unit, E2E, GitGuardian all green.
• Migration guide checked: clearMocks default (the only call-count test already resets in beforeEach), top-level vi.mock (both uses are), Vite >= 6.4 (8.0.3), Node >= 22.12 (CI 22), .vitest/ already gitignored; no other breaking changes apply.

Gate review: APPROVE (HIGH), no blockers. The first gate pass rejected only because a written code-review report (programming / remove-ai-slops perspectives) was missing; that report was added and a fresh reviewer re-checked the delta.

Recommendation: approve and merge #985 instead of this PR, then close #982. If Dependabot rebases this PR first, @dependabot recreate won't fix the lockfile; #985 is the path.
