"""Data gap time to fix: public.data_gap_events.

Mirrors supabase/migrations/20261024060000_data_gap_time_to_fix.sql exactly:
same table, columns, constraints, indexes, RLS policy and grants. One row per
data gap on a traceability lot (a missing KDE or a failed CTE validation). A
partial unique index allows exactly one open row per gap identity. A closed
gap carries the closing record id and its SHA-256 as the receipt.

Additive and idempotent (IF NOT EXISTS, drop-if-exists-then-create policy,
role-guarded grants), so the plain SQL file can run ahead of it. Downgrade
drops only what this revision created.

Reject null closing receipts on closed gaps.

The closed branch of data_gap_events_close_receipt_check does not require either receipt field. PostgreSQL treats a CHECK condition as satisfied when it evaluates to true or null. With closed_at set and closing_record_hash null, the regex comparison yields null, so the whole constraint evaluates to null and the row passes. The same applies when closing_record_id is null. Add both non-null tests to the closed branch. Keep the regex test.

Proposed fix
             or (
                 closed_at is not null
                 and closed_at >= opened_at
+ and closing_record_id is not null
+ and closing_record_hash is not null
                 and closing_record_hash ~ '^[0-9a-f]{64}$'
             )

Apply the same change to the data_gap_events_close_receipt_check definition in supabase/migrations/20261024060000_data_gap_time_to_fix.sql. Both files define the table with create table if not exists, so edit both create table statements. Do not add a separate ALTER TABLE ... ADD CONSTRAINT step. The SQL migration is pending approval and reported as unapplied, so the edited definition applies to a fresh table. A separate ADD CONSTRAINT with the same name would fail on a table created from the corrected definition.

Update the closed branch of data_gap_events_close_receipt_check to require both
closing_record_id and closing_record_hash to be non-null before validating the
hash format. Keep the existing closed_at checks and regex test.

Closed-gap receipt check is incomplete

Medium Severity

The data_gap_events_close_receipt_check constraint does not require closing_record_id on a closed row, and a NULL closing_record_hash does not fail the regex comparison under PostgreSQL CHECK rules. A closed gap can therefore be stored without the receipt the table comment and verification query treat as mandatory.

New table omitted from RLS coverage

Medium Severity

public.data_gap_events is a new tenant-scoped table with forced RLS, but it is not listed in PUBLIC_TENANT_SCOPED_TABLES. That public-schema gate is a curated list, not a sweep, so after alembic upgrade head the test never checks FORCE, a non-null tenant_id, or a real tenant predicate on this table. Behavior changes that touch tenant isolation require that coverage.

Restrict gap-event updates and protect closed rows.

regengine can update every column in public.data_gap_events. The tenant-only RLS policy does not restrict columns or prevent updates to closed rows. A tenant-scoped statement can rewrite lot_code or clear the close fields and reopen a historical row while satisfying the check constraint.

Use column-level UPDATE grants in both migrations. Also add a BEFORE UPDATE trigger that rejects updates when OLD.closed_at is not null, while allowing only the intended open-to-closed transition.
