Removes scripts/run_full_fsma_simulation.py, tests/scripts/test_run_full_fsma_simulation.py, and references in README.md, docs/GOLDEN_PATH.md and the inflow workbench design-partner demo doc.
Recall drill simulator (Load Sample Data / generateSampleCSV), /proof/recall-drill and sample_recall_drill.csv are untouched.
Replaces #3545 (same final tree, re-cut from main with Conventional Commit, signed-off history).
Note
Low Risk
Deletes a local demo/contract script and doc references only; production services and recall drill paths are untouched, with verification guidance shifted to existing E2E scripts.
Overview Removes the DB-free golden-path demo runner (scripts/run_full_fsma_simulation.py) and its subprocess test, which simulated Inflow-style events through canonicalization, stateless FSMA rules, hash chains, and FDA CSV export without Postgres.
Documentation now points at heavier verification paths instead of the fast simulator: README, docs/GOLDEN_PATH.md, and the inflow workbench demo runbook drop run_full_fsma_simulation commands and emphasize verify_inflow_to_regengine_e2e.py (persisted evidence) and existing live-service checks. The recall fixture audit doc is annotated historically that the runner was deleted in #3559.
Recall drill / sample data flows called out in the PR description are not changed by this diff.

The database-free FSMA simulator and its integration test were removed. References to running the simulator were removed from the README, the golden path guide, and the design partner demo runbook. The runbook’s Postgres-backed verifier instructions remain.
Fix the live verification command’s exit status before merging so failed golden-path checks cannot be mistaken for successful verification.

Before / after behavior
observed — Modified behavior in README.md: Removed the instructions and command for running the DB-free FSMA simulation.
observed — Modified behavior in docs/GOLDEN_PATH.md: The “Fast Verification” section was removed, including the simulation command, /tmp/regengine-golden-path artifact descriptions, and the list of primitives the database-free check covered.
observed — Modified behavior in docs/runbooks/inflow_workbench_design_partner_demo.md: Removed the fast-simulator instructions and command for DB-free golden-contract checks; the Postgres-backed evidence verifier instructions remain.
observed — Modified behavior in scripts/run_full_fsma_simulation.py: The entire script was removed, including its deterministic four-event scenario, canonicalization and stateless-rule evaluation, hash-chain preparation, FDA CSV and JSON artifact generation, and CLI. Its pass condition required at least one initial critical failure point and exactly three exportable events; otherwise it returned a failing exit status.

Head matches 6f633a5. One commit, Conventional ("chore: remove golden-path demo simulation"), signed off.
Tree vs #3545 (b12bb72): same 5-file change set (−493 lines). The only tree difference is .github/workflows/head-sha-check-guard.yml, which comes from the different base; not in either PR's diff.
Scope OK: deletes scripts/run_full_fsma_simulation.py and tests/scripts/test_run_full_fsma_simulation.py, and trims README.md, docs/GOLDEN_PATH.md and the inflow_workbench_design_partner_demo.md runbook. The two docs are edited, not deleted. No recall drill simulation code touched.
Dangling refs (FAIL): docs/audits/RECALL_FIXTURE_AUDIT_2026-09-16.md lines 16 and 27 still cite scripts/run_full_fsma_simulation.py and tests/scripts/test_run_full_fsma_simulation.py. Please update or annotate them as removed. No references remain in workflows, Makefile or package scripts. docs/qa/2026-10-02 artifacts are historical logs and tests/integration/golden_path is unrelated.
Removal approval: #3545 body records C.Lee's approval (12:14 PM PT, Oct 23).
CI: required gates still pending at review time. Tests not run locally (load above 28).
Delta 6f633a5...fc0ba81 is a single signed-off Conventional commit ("docs: mark golden-path sim references as removed in recall audit"), +2/-2 in docs/audits/RECALL_FIXTURE_AUDIT_2026-09-16.md only.
Both dangling references from my FAIL (lines 16 and 27) are now annotated "removed in #3559"; the table row keeps its 4 cells.
Remaining matches are historical QA artifacts under docs/qa/2026-10-02/artifacts/; fine to leave as is.
Earlier findings stand: scope OK, no recall drill simulation code touched, C.Lee's approval recorded in #3545.
Merge still needs the required gates green on fc0ba81.
Exit with a failure status when scenario checks fail.
The module entrypoint calls run() and discards its return value. run() reports failed checks only through results["failed"]. It does not raise, and the script never sets a nonzero exit status. The documented command therefore exits 0 even when the output reports failed checks and "pipeline has gaps". Scripts and CI jobs that rely on the exit status treat a failed live verification as a pass.
