## [1.7.0] - 2026-09-25

This release adds a test package for `xunit.v3` version 4. It also lets a library get the test
that runs and write to its output, with no reference to a test framework.

### Added

- `DependencyModules.xUnit4`, the xUnit package for `xunit.v3` version 4.0.0 and all subsequent
versions before 5.0.0. It has the same types in the same namespaces as `DependencyModules.xUnit`.
`DependencyModules.xUnit` stays on `xunit.v3` version 3. xunit.v3 4.0 changed
`ISelfExecutingXunitTestCase.Run`, and a package built for one version does not load on the
other. (#117, #118)
- With `xunit.v3` version 4, a data row gives its `Label` and its `DisableParallelization` to its
test, as it does for `[Theory]`. (#118)
- `CurrentTest` and `ICurrentTestProvider` in `DependencyModules.Testing`. They give the key, the
display name, and the assembly of the test that runs, and write lines to its output. The xUnit
packages read `TestContext.Current`, and `DependencyModules.NUnit` reads
`TestExecutionContext.CurrentContext`. (#119)
- `TestOutputLoggerProvider`, an `ILoggerProvider` that writes each log entry to the output of the
test that runs. (#119)

### Changed

- `DependencyModules.Testing` depends on `Microsoft.Extensions.Logging.Abstractions`: version 8.0.0
for `net8.0` and version 10.0.0 for `net10.0`. (#119)

### Note

With `xunit.v3` version 4 and the .NET 10 SDK, `dotnet test` in the VSTest mode stops with an error
from Microsoft.Testing.Platform. Use the MTP mode of `dotnet test`, or use `xunit.v3.mtp-off` in
place of `xunit.v3`. The xUnit guide gives more information.
