WalkthroughThe troubleshooting guide adds restore and checkpoint failure diagnostics. A verification script checks that each executor step has a matching troubleshooting heading, and the Makefile runs that check. ChangesRestore and Checkpoint Troubleshooting

Qualify the PageBroker commit outcome.
If PageBroker commit fails and restored-process validation also fails, the validation error replaces the cleanup error. The controller calls failRestore instead of taking the RestoreCleanupFailed completion path. Qualify the restored-status statement to apply only when validation succeeds.

Qualify source termination as an attempt.
Both GPU capture and CRIU dump failures trigger the source-kill path, but killCheckpointProcess can fail. The guide should not state that termination always occurs.

Extract step declarations with trailing comments.
If a maintainer adds StepFoo Step = "foo" // explanation, this sed pattern skips the valid Go declaration. The check then passes even when the guide has no ### foo entry. Accept trailing comments, and check that every Step declaration was extracted. Based on learnings, a verification script must not report a clean result when its pattern misses valid entries.

…step Failure messages now open with the step they came from, so the guide is organised the same way: one entry per step with what the step does, the likely causes, what to check and what to do. A short section explains how to read a message and where the agent logs the same failure with a step key. The step list lives in agent/internal/executor/step.go. A new verify-troubleshooting-steps target, run as part of make check, reads it from the source and fails when a step has no entry in the guide, so the two cannot drift apart silently. Refs #370 Signed-off-by: Oleg Kushniriov <okushniriov@nvidia.com>
… chart keys The guide read the agent log through the DaemonSet, which picks an arbitrary pod, while the detail is only in the agent on the node where the pod ran. It now finds that pod first and uses it for the PageBroker commands too. The log level is daemonset.snapshotLogLevel and the restore timeout is config.restore.restoreTimeoutSeconds; the keys the guide named do not exist in the chart. The timeout entry follows the message nsrestore failures now carry, a trailing "; the restore timeout expired" after whatever cause was running, and the condition no longer points at the agent log. The building GPU context entry covers the checkpoint side of the step, which maps the source container's CUDA processes and GPUs. The drift check matches the whole heading line, so a step whose name is a prefix of another's cannot pass on the longer entry. Refs #370 Signed-off-by: Oleg Kushniriov <okushniriov@nvidia.com>
… steps The checkpoint now names the rootfs diff capture as its own step, between the CRIU dump and the commit, and the drift check requires an entry for it. Refs #370 Signed-off-by: Oleg Kushniriov <okushniriov@nvidia.com>

What type of PR is this?
What this PR does / why we need it:

make verify-troubleshooting-stepspasses; with the guide missing entries it lists each absent step and exits 1.hack/verify-spdx-format.shpasses for the new script.Special notes for your reviewer:
Last of three stacked PRs for #370. The two sections at the top of the guide are unchanged; the storage section was folded into the step entries that cover it.
