Each pane keeps its own folder tabs, per the picked Concept B mockup: inactive tabs are compact chips above the path bar, the active tab is the breadcrumb bar itself, and new-tab / close-tab buttons sit at the bar's right end.

  • Core PaneTabSet: add / activate / close (last tab refused) / cycle with wrap, per-tab back/forward history, session snapshot/restore sanitization, and tab labels read from Windows paths by hand.
  • App: chips rebuilt on every navigation; tab switches swap the pane's history stacks and navigate without recording history; Ctrl+T new tab, Ctrl+W close, Ctrl+Tab / Ctrl+Shift+Tab cycle; middle-click a chip closes it.
  • Session: workspace file gains per-pane tab lists + active indexes (older files load as one tab per pane; an active tab whose folder vanished falls back to the validated pane path).

Local gate green; Windows CI is the App build check. Runtime Unverified until tested on a real machine.
