fix(bridge): surface empty Bridge enumeration instead of silent no-op - #783

The Bridge shim has no picker to cancel, so an empty requestDevice() result always means nothing matched — but connect() treated it as a user cancellation and ended silently (status text flashing back with only the button click sound). Now it throws a diagnostic error naming what Bridge actually sees (VID/PID included), which lands in the persistent Connection-failed status and error toast. Related to #777: a present-but-unsupported receiver (e.g. G-Wolves Fenrir Pro on xvi-new) no longer looks like a dead button.

to propagate enumeration failures instead of converting them to an empty device

Problem
With Bridge as the active
navigator.hid, clicking Add mouse on a setup where nothing matches the HID filters ended silently: the status text flashed back with only the button click sound audible. Root cause: the Bridge shim has no picker to cancel, so an emptyrequestDevice()result always means "nothing matched" — butrequestSupportedClient()treated it as a user cancellation and returned null (native WebHID rejects on picker cancel, so that path is Bridge-only).This hid real situations like a present-but-unsupported receiver (e.g. the reporter's G-Wolves Fenrir Pro, whose xvi-new protocol has no driver yet).
Change
src/bridge-hid.ts: newbridgeEmptyResultMessage()— distinguishes "Bridge sees no mice from supported vendors" from "Bridge sees N device(s) but none matches a filter", including VID/PID details.src/device/controller.ts: empty result while Bridge is active now throws that message, landing in the persistent Connection-failed status + error toast. Native-picker behavior unchanged.Verification
npx tsc --noEmitclean,npm test382/382 pass (2 new tests),npm run buildsucceeds. No styling or i18n changes (message is dynamic English, like the existing unsupported-device path).Summary by CodeRabbit
