feat: add SteelSeries Rival 100 family protocol - #217
Conversation
Rival 100 (1038:1702) with its PC Bang/Dell China/Dota 2 special editions and the Rival 105 (1038:1814), all sharing the vendor GG 121.0.0 rival-100.lisp command set: two-preset DPI 0x03 with a choice byte (250-4000, rivalcfg-supplied table), polling 0x04, single-zone LED 0x05/0x07, button-6 mode 0x0B (with the PC Bang pre-packet), save 0x09, firmware 0x10 (used as the connectivity probe), no button remapping. Unverified on hardware.

setDpi always writes preset 1, but the active preset can be preset 2.
The generic DPI control calls setDpi to change the DPI the user currently has. setDpi writes only 03 01, which is preset 1. If the user has switched to preset 2 with the CPI button, the write does not change the live sensitivity. readStatus still reports the written value as dpi. The protocol has a readable active-preset query (16 00, steelseriesRival100ActiveCpiQuery), and the client does not use it.
To fix this, read the active preset index. Then route setDpi to the matching sensitivity command. Track both presets in lastWritten so that dpi reflects the active preset. If you do not implement the read, state in pollingNote that dpi shows preset 1 only.

The firmware probe accepts the first input report of any kind.
onInputReport resolves every waiter with any input report. It does not filter on reportId or on the content. The picker can grant an interface that sends unrelated vendor input reports. On that interface, steelseriesRival100DecodeFirmware decodes those unrelated bytes as a firmware version. The probe then passes, although the comment says the wrong interface must "fail the firmware probe loudly". To fix this, filter on event.reportId === RIVAL100_REPORT_ID and check the expected reply length (or shape) before you resolve the waiter.

Adds the first-generation Rival 100 family: Rival 100 (
1038:1702) plus its PC Bang (1038:1708), Dell China (1038:170A) and Dota 2 (1038:170B/1038:170C) special editions and the Rival 105 (1038:1814). Codec (src/steelseries/rival-100.ts), catalog entries, and WebHID driver, all with tests.Reconstructed from the vendor's own GG 121.0.0 device specification (
rival-100.lispand the derived files, which allinclude "rival-100"), with rivalcfg'srival100.pyindependently corroborating the command bytes.03 01/03 02with a choice byte, not a linear encoding — the vendor file gives the byte but no table, so rivalcfg's eight-step table is used (250→0x08 … 4000→0x01, inverted order). Off-table values rejected.04 00(01–04, 1000→125 Hz).05 00+ RGB and effect07 00(steady/breath); the vendor color-sequencing template leaves thebrightnessbyte zero, so this codec matches it.0B(dpi/os); the PC Bang edition's extra00 0E 01pre-packet is sent by the driver for that PID.09 00; firmware10 00→ 2-byte reply, used as the connectivity probe (flagged: the vendor file has this commented out for the base model, but rivalcfg reads it live). The active preset index16 00is also readable. This deliberately does not claim the Rival 110/106/300S (same command bytes, different PixArt PMW3326 sensor table) — that needs its own module.
