Review status

Machine-assisted community drafts. Each was independently machine-reviewed against the English source and checked for structure (headings, tables, code, links). Not yet reviewed by a regional maintainer (P2-002 §2.3, §3.1) — each file's header says so.

Repo note: README.pt.md is drafted from the English README.md. The other README translations' headers cite a Portuguese original; that text appears to be Carlos Zamboni's Brazil-market adaptation in carloszambonii/agrinet-brazil, not an NTARI file — maintainers should confirm which text is the source.

Reviewer notes (points a regional maintainer should check):

CONFORMANCE.ar.md (4)
  • Digits: this file uses Western digits (2026-10-05, 'open problem 2', v2), which matches the house header in lighthouse-seed.ar.md. The Janus reference uses Arabic-Indic digits (٦، ١٠) in its numbered lists. The regional maintainer should decide on one digit convention.
  • The terminology glossary (agrinet-docs/tools/translations/terminology-glossary.csv) has only a placeholder row. Terms were therefore checked against janus-facing-architecture.ar.md, and these match it: الركيزة (substrate), السجل (record), العهد (covenant), الحَكامة (governance), إضافيّ فقط (append-only), الضمان (escrow). These terms are new here, with no reference to check against, and need maintainer confirmation: عدم المراوغة (non-equivocation), بديل مؤقت (stand-in), نقطة تحقّق الشاهد (witness checkpoint), الاتحاد (federation), قاعدة المرافقة (rides-along rule), الصيغة الأولية (stub).
  • The status column keeps the English labels in parentheses, for example 'قيد المراجعة (In review)'. Normative keywords are correctly kept in English, but whether status labels should also keep their English form is a style choice for the maintainer.
  • Every source sentence is present with the same meaning. The header matches the house template (CONFORMANCE.md, 2026-10-05, https://github.com/NTARI-RAND/Agrinet), and the spec precedence notice is present. l10n_inventory.py check returned ok with no warnings after the edits. The file is UTF-8 with LF line endings and no BOM.
CONFORMANCE.es.md (4)
  • Terminology glossary (agrinet-docs/tools/translations/terminology-glossary.csv) holds only a placeholder row, so terms were checked against the lighthouse and Janus translations only: bitácora (ledger/log), suplencia (stand-in), pacto (covenant), atestiguamiento (witnessing), no equivocación (non-equivocation), piso (floor), depósito de garantía (escrow). A regional maintainer should confirm these.
  • 'stub' and 'checkpoint' are left in English, matching the lighthouse translation's use of 'checkpoints'.
  • Row 8 of the invariants table renders 'the credit switch is governance' as 'el paso a crédito es una decisión de gobernanza'. This adds a few words to make the sense clear but keeps the meaning; the maintainer may prefer a closer wording.
  • The repo terms 'Operator' and 'LBTAS adoption' in the role table are translated ('Operador', 'Adopción de LBTAS'), while 'Mycelium' stays in English. That is acceptable but worth a look.
CONFORMANCE.fr.md (4)
  • The glossary file (agrinet-docs/tools/translations/terminology-glossary.csv) is still a placeholder with only an example row. I could only check terminology against the Janus and Lighthouse French translations, so the regional maintainer should confirm these choices: covenant = pacte, record/ledger = registre, stand-in = substitution, escrow = séquestre, witness checkpoint stub = ébauche de point de contrôle des témoins, commits = engage.
  • Layer name: the source says 'Economy & Education layer', translated faithfully as 'couche Économie et Éducation'. However, the Janus French snapshot (janus-facing-architecture.fr.md) calls this layer 'Économie et Information (E&I)'. The two upstream documents don't agree; the maintainer should know about it, but the translation should not change.
  • 'registry-enrolled peers' is now 'pairs inscrits à l'annuaire'. If 'registry' names a specific Agrinet component, the maintainer may want the English term kept, for example 'registry'.
  • Small style points the maintainer may want to look at: 'machinerie d'économie de membres' (literal but understandable); 'La chaîne engage la forme d'un échange' (cryptographic 'commit', which matches how the Lighthouse translation uses 'engagement').
CONFORMANCE.hi.md (4)
  • The Status column keeps the English labels and adds Hindi after them, for example 'In review (समीक्षाधीन)'. The stand-in row reads 'In review (stand-in) (समीक्षाधीन, स्टैंड-इन)', which is a little awkward. This follows the precedence notice's rule that labels stay in English, but a regional maintainer should confirm the format.
  • Line 54 puts quotation marks around 'फ़्रंटएंड-संचालक के रूप में'. The source has no quotes, but the meaning is unchanged.
  • 'खारिजी' is used for 'dismissal'. It is correct, but a maintainer may prefer a more common word such as 'खारिज करना'.
  • The terminology glossary (agrinet-docs/tools/translations/terminology-glossary.csv) has only a placeholder row. I checked terms only against janus-facing-architecture.hi.md, and संरचना, संचालक, साक्षी, अभिलेख, प्रतिज्ञा, अभिशासन, आधार and साझा कोष are used consistently with it.
CONFORMANCE.pt.md (5)
  • A regional maintainer should confirm 'Mecanismo adotado' for 'Committed mechanism'. 'Committed' may mean 'committed in code' here.
  • 'append-only' is rendered as 'somente de adição'. The lighthouse reference keeps 'append-only' in English, so a maintainer should pick one convention.
  • 'Operator', 'LBTAS adoption' and 'Escrow settlement' are translated in the 'This repo's term' column, but 'Mycelium' stays in English. That is acceptable, but a maintainer may want repo terms left in English.
  • 'dismissal' is rendered as 'arquivamento' (legal sense) and 'rides-along rule' as 'regra de acompanhamento'. Both are reasonable but worth a regional check.
  • The header matches the lighthouse house header (CONFORMANCE.md, snapshot 2026-10-05, https://github.com/NTARI-RAND/Agrinet). The spec precedence notice is present. The source has no normative keywords. The structure check passes with no warnings. The file is UTF-8 with LF line endings and no BOM.
CONFORMANCE.tok.md (7)
  • The terminology glossary (agrinet-docs/tools/translations/terminology-glossary.csv) has only key,en,notes columns and no Toki Pona column. Terms were checked against janus-facing-architecture.tok.md instead.
  • 'reference economy' is rendered 'esun pi nasin lukin' (in Role declaration and Product-specific notes), and 'reference' is 'nasin lukin pi nimi'. It reads fine but is loose; a regional maintainer may want a settled term.
  • 'checkpoint' is rendered 'ilo open', and 'witness checkpoint stub' is 'ilo lili open pi jan lukin'. The usage is consistent but unusual, so a maintainer should confirm it.
  • 'Operator' is rendered 'jan pi ilo suli', which is a person, while the source defines an operator as a platform instance. This matches the Janus reference, so it was kept.
  • The Janus reference names layer 5 'Economy & Information', but this source says 'Economy & Education layer'. The translation keeps the source's English in the parenthetical. This is a mismatch between source documents, not a translation error.
  • English loanwords appear only in quotes or parenthetical glosses ('hash', 'PII', 'PR', 'refactor', 'federation', 'non-equivocation', 'net-zero'), following the house convention. No invented Toki Pona words were found; 'kipisi' and 'meso' are nimi ku suli.
  • Header matches the lighthouse house header, adapted correctly for a full (not condensed) rendering, with CONFORMANCE.md, 2026-10-05 and https://github.com/NTARI-RAND/Agrinet. The spec precedence notice is present, and normative keywords stay in English (the source has none). The structure check returned ok with no warnings. The file is UTF-8 with LF line endings and no BOM.
CONFORMANCE.zh.md (4)
  • The Status column keeps the English labels with a Chinese gloss, for example 'In review(审查中)' and 'Standing posture(常设姿态)'. The precedence notice covers this, since labels stay in English, but a regional maintainer should confirm the bilingual form is wanted rather than Chinese only.
  • Terminology follows Janus/janus-facing-architecture.zh.md: covenant=约定, substrate=基质. lighthouse-seed.zh.md uses 公约 for covenant, so the reference translations disagree and a maintainer should pick one. The glossary CSV at agrinet-docs/tools/translations/terminology-glossary.csv holds only a placeholder row, so it settles nothing.
  • Two coined renderings should be confirmed by a regional maintainer: 'posture' as 姿态 and 'non-equivocation' as 防双重陈述 (with the English term in parentheses at first use).
  • The source CONFORMANCE.md uses CRLF line endings. The translation uses LF as required. This is noted only so the line-ending difference is not mistaken for an error.
README.pt.md (4)
  • Source-side defect copied byte-for-byte as required: the License line reads 'AGPL, GNU-3' followed by U+FFFD (replacement character), in both README.md and README.pt.md. It should be fixed upstream in the English source, then carried into the translation.
  • Source-side oddity left verbatim inside a code block: the clone command points to https://github.com/YOUR_USERNAME/Fruitful.git and then runs 'cd Agrinet'. Upstream should look at this; the translation correctly does not change it.
  • Wording a regional maintainer may want to smooth: 'com segurança de novas tentativas e bloqueio' (source: 'with retry & lockout security') is faithful but a little literal.
  • The glossary terminology-glossary.csv holds only a placeholder row. Term choices (marketplace, logs, branch, commit, implantar) were checked against Janus/janus-facing-architecture.pt.md where they overlap (for example 'implantação') and are consistent with it.

Source issues noticed during translation

The English was translated as written; these are for the source maintainers.

  • CONFORMANCE.md: "Agrinet is an economy of the JFA Economy & Education layer" — The JFA official document and its translations name this layer "Economy & Information (E&I)". Possible typo or outdated name; translated as written ("Education").
  • README.md: "AGPL, GNU-3" — The License line ends in U+FFFD (Unicode replacement character): a character was lost to an encoding error. Copied unchanged.
  • README.md: "git clone https://github.com/YOUR_USERNAME/Fruitful.git" — Clone URL names a placeholder user and the "Fruitful" repo, but the next step runs cd Agrinet. Probably stale.
