Summary

  • Restore guide added to the published manage page; the landing restore link points to it on the docs site.
  • agentplugins skills add documented on the published install page, from the released CLI help (GitHub sources, selection flags, JSON requirements).
  • Stale "unreleased" labels removed from quickstart, README and the dependencies doc: deps export and deps import ship in agentplugins 0.1.90.
  • AGENTS.md maps where the CLI, landing, docs, registry and registry site live, and which docs pages are published.

Checks

  • website: docs generator passes with pinned authoring checkout, Node 22.21.1, Go 1.26.10; check-public-boundary passes; frontmatter and public-link tests pass.
  • landing: nuxt prepare with the verified registry mirror, eslint on changed files, check:i18n, test:registry 260/260.
  • Browser i18n spec not run locally.

Notes

  • Not merged. Other use/ and build/ pages still need released status and five-locale routes; this PR does not add new journey pages.
  • "Ordinary commands (unreleased)" section in docs/UAP_DEPENDENCIES.md is unchanged; its release status is not verified here.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features
    • Install Agent Skills from public GitHub repositories, repository folders, SKILL.md URLs, or HTTPS publishers. Choose Skills interactively or select them explicitly, and manage installations with the CLI.
    • Transfer plugin sets between machines and restore pinned packages with locked installation. Preview transfers with a dry run, confirm before copying, and validate transferred files and package integrity.
  • Documentation
    • Updated setup and dependency-transfer guidance to reflect availability in published CLI releases.
    • Added a public guide link for restoring plugins on another machine and clarified documentation publishing and localization requirements.

- Add a restore section to the published manage page and point the landing
restore link at it, so users reach the guide on the docs site.
- Document `agentplugins skills add` in the published install page from the
released CLI help: GitHub sources, selection flags and JSON requirements.
- Drop stale "unreleased" labels from the quickstart; deps export and import
  ship in the published CLI.
- README and UAP_DEPENDENCIES no longer call the restore workflow unreleased,
and link the restore guide on the docs site.
- AGENTS.md lists where the CLI, landing, docs, registry and registry site live,
and which docs pages are published.

Walkthrough

The documentation now describes published CLI support for Agent Skills installation and dependency transfer. It adds workflow details and changes the landing site’s restore-guide link to point to the hosted documentation.

Changes: Dependency export and restore

Layer / File(s) Summary
Document published dependency transfer
README.md, docs/UAP_DEPENDENCIES.md, website/source/en/guide/quickstart.md, website/source/en/use/manage.md
The documentation identifies dependency transfer as available in published CLI versions starting at 0.1.90. It explains export, import, validation, and restoring pinned packages.
Resolve the hosted restore guide route
landing/data/docsAvailability.ts, AGENTS.md, landing/composables/useDocsLinks.ts, landing/components/registry/RegistryRestore.vue, landing/tests/browser/i18n-integration.spec.ts
The landing site builds the English restore-guide URL from the documentation route and uses it for the guide link. Repository guidance describes site locations, registry-feed verification, and documentation publishing requirements. The browser test expects the hosted URL.

Agent Skills installation

Layer / File(s) Summary
Document Agent Skills installation
README.md, website/source/en/use/install.md
The README and install guide describe Skill installation from GitHub and HTTPS publishers, selection and targeting options, security findings, and maintenance commands.

Keep the launcher consistent with the preceding commands.

This page uses npx universal-agent-plugins ... for installation and status, then switches to bare agentplugins for transfer. A reader who follows this path without a separate native or global install can fail at the first transfer command. Use npx universal-agent-plugins for these examples, or add an explicit installation step before using bare agentplugins. (docs.npmjs.com)

Automated security findings can block an install. `--security-details` shows
every finding in human output. `--accept-security-risk` continues past blocking
findings and should be used only after review.

Propagate the security options into skills add.

When blocking findings exist, both Skills installation paths create dependency installers with empty options. dependencyInstaller.authorize therefore rejects the installation, and --accept-security-risk cannot authorize continuation.

The same path does not call authorizeSecurityAssessment, so --security-details does not show all findings for Skills installation.

Pass both security options through the prepared batch and use them during preparation and apply. This is a fail-closed installation correctness defect, not a security bypass. Classify it as minor functional correctness.

Use 0.1.86 as the minimum supported CLI version.

agentplugins 0.1.90 was published on October 24, 2026, so the claim that it was not listed is outdated. The dependency-transfer feature was added before the 0.1.86 release, which documents global export/import. The current 0.1.90 and later wording unnecessarily excludes supported 0.1.86–0.1.89 users.

Remove the contradictory source-only Skills status.

This paragraph presents agentplugins skills add as available in the published CLI. Later in this README, the same workflow is labelled SOURCE ONLY / UNRELEASED and described as a source-build workflow. Update the later section or keep this paragraph gated until the published release status is consistent. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

Remove the HTTPS publisher workflow from the released Skills docs.

The released agentplugins 0.1.90 skills add accepts only public GitHub sources. Its source parser rejects other HTTPS hosts with only public GitHub sources are supported. A .well-known publisher URL therefore fails. The README and the install page still document this workflow as supported. Remove the publisher claims from both files. Keep the GitHub guidance.
