At the moment xssstart is used to start clicklock. The functionality should be moved into clicklock itsself.

I know I'll get a golden shovel award for writing here, but your tool helped me a lot, and I found a way to use it without xssstart as it is when using XFCE.

Leaving my script here for future generations - it was primarily used to control PWM backlight of a tablet but I managed to hook up your tool seamlessly into it:
