Summary

  • Google Search Console: adds the google-site-verification meta tag to every page's <head>, so the site can be verified.
  • Accent CMS 0.26.0: the Pages workflow now builds with v0.26.0, up from v0.25.1. This release needs three changes to the site:
    • Shortcode syntax removed. The two landing-page [button] lines rendered as literal text under 0.26 and failed the base-path check. They are now {% button %} components.
    • Themes must implement the canonical components. Ported accordion, breadcrumb, button, callout, card, image, tab, tabs and tag from the 0.26.0 Agentic theme, which the driller theme derives from (MIT). The legacy alert template is replaced by callout, which takes over the alert styles. The .sc-button aliases for the removed built-in are dropped.
    • Scripts need a nonce. The theme scripts now carry nonce="{{ nonce }}", so the build records their hashes in the page script policy.
  • Footer: shows the Accent version and commit the site was built with, for example Built with Accent CMS 0.26.0 (054d85c).
  • Workflow: drops --strict-links. It is deprecated in 0.26 and removed in 0.27, because a broken internal link now fails the build by default.
  • Installer: Accent is now installed with accentup (the crates.io accent crate, pinned to 0.1.3 and cached) instead of curl ... install.sh | sh. It verifies the checksum and signature in-process, with the signing key compiled in and no skip path, so the job no longer depends on gpg on the runner or on an install script fetched from main, and a failed download can no longer pass silently.

Test plan

  • Built with the checksum-verified v0.26.0 release binary, using the workflow's exact build command. The link check passes, and index.html and 404.html exist.
  • accent validate --templates: no theme errors. The content warnings match main; they are links to mounted pages, which validate does not resolve.
  • Previewed under the /driller prefix: both buttons styled and linked, theme toggle works, footer shows the version, no console errors.
  • The meta tag appears on the home, docs, changelog and 404 pages.
  • CI Build site job passes on this PR.
  • accentup install --version v0.26.0 tested locally, giving accent 0.26.0 (054d85c).
  • CI Build site passes with accentup. The first run compiled it in 1m15s; later runs restore it from the cache.

Accent 0.26.0 removes the square-bracket shortcode syntax, requires
every theme to implement the canonical components, and blocks theme
scripts that do not carry a nonce. Adapt the site to it:

- Port the canonical components (accordion, breadcrumb, button,
callout, card, image, tab, tabs, tag) from the Accent 0.26.0 Agentic
theme the driller theme derives from, and drop the legacy alert
  shortcode template, which callout replaces.
- Rewrite the two landing-page buttons as {% button %} components.
Under 0.26 the old [button] lines rendered as literal text.
- Style the callout component with the former alert styles, and drop
the .sc-button aliases the removed built-in shortcode used.
- Mark the theme scripts with nonce="{{ nonce }}" so the build records
their hashes in the page script policy.
- Show the Accent version and commit the site was built with in the
  footer.
- Pin ACCENT_VERSION to v0.26.0 in the Pages workflow and drop
--strict-links, which is deprecated: a broken internal link now fails
  the build by default.

Also add the google-site-verification meta tag to every page so the
site can be registered in Google Search Console.

Built locally with the checksum-verified v0.26.0 release binary using
the workflow's build command; the link check passes and
`accent validate --templates` reports no theme errors.
Replace the `curl ... install.sh | sh` step with accentup, the Rust
installer published on crates.io as the `accent` crate. It verifies the
release in-process with the signing key compiled in and no skip path,
so the job no longer depends on the runner shipping gpg or on the
install script served from the accent repository's main branch, and a
failed download can no longer pipe empty input into a shell that exits
zero.

accentup is built with --locked at a pinned version (0.1.3) and cached
by that version, so only the first run pays for the compile. It reads
the same ACCENT_VERSION pin as before.
