PowerAuth Next Step Server resolves the next step of the authentication process, handles authentication using credentials and OTP authorization codes, and manages user identities. Based on configurable step definitions, it decides the next authentication step for an operation given the operation name, type, status, and the result of the previous step. It also manages authentication methods, operations, organizations, credential and OTP policies, and securely stores user credentials and OTP codes, exposing all of this functionality through REST services.
