ds-down is a Python 3 program to send URLs and local files to Synology DownloadStation using aforementioned DownloadStations Web API (API pdf).
The main intended use-case is from console and a desktop file for xdg-open or similar tools is provided.

python3 setup.py install --exec_name="ds_down" --userThe executable console script name can be controlled with the ´--exec_name=´ argument. The default is ´ds_down´. The executable script in this example is placed in ´$HOME/.local/bin´ which can be added to the PATH variable if needed. This also installs needed dependencies.
Alternatively last published version can be installed from PyPI with pip:
pip3 install --user ds-down
