I work in the OpenMRS ecosystem: maintaining OpenMRS 3 (microfrontends, TypeScript, React), shipping Ozone HIS–based implementations, and supporting humanitarian and national health programs—from LIME EMR (MSF) deployments to national Ozone HIS rollouts with Mekom Solutions and field work with Madiro.org.

| Project / org | Role in the stack | How I engage |
|---|---|---|
| OpenMRS | Global open-source medical record system; OpenMRS 3 is a microfrontend platform | Core contributor (Dev/4), Global Product Support Team: reviews, releases, onboarding implementers, squad leadership |
| Ozone HIS | Open-source HIS that composes OpenMRS 3 with Odoo, analytics, and interoperability | Led frontend for Ozone deployments (e.g. Cambodia MoH, Hôpital du Sacré-Cœur-de-Montréal); architecture and delivery with Mekom |
| LIME EMR (MSF) | Light, modular EMR for humanitarian settings, built on OpenMRS 3 and Ozone HIS | Implementation-adjacent work (e.g. MSF Mosul): OpenMRS forms pipeline, Open Concept Lab metadata, clinical content |
| Mekom Solutions | OpenMRS partner; creators of Ozone HIS and heavy contributors to OpenMRS 3 | Software Engineer II/I: frontend lead on Ozone HIS, ward dashboard with Partners In Health, i18n for OpenMRS 3 & Form Engine (i18next / Transifex) |
| Madiro.org | Non-profit digital health; implementations in low-resource settings | Software Engineer III: integrated HIS (e.g. Ubuntu Village of Life, Burundi)—OpenMRS + Odoo + Keycloak SSO |
Together, these projects show one thread: open-source EMRs and HIS in real clinics and ministries, not only code on GitHub.
- OpenMRS 3 platform — Microfrontends (single-spa ecosystem), maintenance across packages, performance, testing, and release work; helping organizations adopt and extend 3.x.
- Google Summer of Code — OpenMRS org: 2025 mentor (Improved Implementer Tools), 2024 org admin, 2023 mentor, 2021 contributor.
- Events — OpenMRS Implementers Conferences (Kampala, Nairobi), Form Engine hackathon (Kampala), GSoC Mentor Summit (Sunnyvale); on-site work for implementations (e.g. Burundi).
- Frontend & architecture: Microfrontends, React, TypeScript, Next.js, Webpack 5 / Module Federation, performance and safe patterns in long-lived community codebases.
- OpenMRS-specific: OpenMRS 3 app shell and feature packages, Form Engine, Carbon Design System–based UI, internationalization (LTR/RTL).
- HIS integration: Ozone stack patterns (OpenMRS + Odoo + identity), Keycloak SSO, REST and tooling around clinical forms and terminology.
- Ubuntu Village of Life (Burundi) — Integrated HIS on Ozone: OpenMRS clinical data, Odoo for pharmacy/billing/inventory, billing automation, Keycloak SSO.
- OpenMRS 3 & Ozone — National and hospital deployments; World Bank–funded Ministry of Health, Cambodia frontend; Canada facility rollout; in-patient ward dashboard with Partners In Health.
- MSF / LIME-style workflows — Form generation from structured sources, OCL-backed dictionaries, operational support for complex programs.
