Why

A tester ran for a day on a transmitter whose battery B had dropped to 2.54 V: connections kept dropping, readings arrived late, and an End Sensor never got through. Nothing on screen explained why; the only hint was the battery alert, which is easy to dismiss and then forget.

What

  • Settings: while battery B is at or below the existing very-low threshold (2.70 V), the Sensor section ends with a red-tinted row: readings may be missing or late, and the transmitter may respond slowly or not at all, including to stopping a session or calibrating. It stays until a reading above the threshold arrives.
  • Home screen: cgmStatusHighlight reports Transmitter Low (warning). It ranks below sensor failed / warm-up / transmitter expired / no sensor / sensor expired and above calibration needed and signal loss, because the battery is the likely cause of both.
  • cgmLifecycleProgress reports a warning state while the battery is very low. Trio only shows a CGM plugin's status highlight while the progress isn't normal (or during warm-up / the last 48 h), so without this the label would stay hidden for most of a session. Side effect: Trio's progress ring around the glucose value turns orange.

Independent of the open PR stack; based on main.

Settings Trio home Existing alert

Seeded state: battery A 2.85 V / B 2.54 V, sensor started two days earlier (so the session alone would show normal progress).

Testing

  • G6SensorKitUI and G6SensorKitPlugin build on main.
  • Trio (simulator) with a seeded very-low battery: label and orange ring on the home screen, row in settings.

normal, so without this the highlight stays hidden for most of a session.
