feat(peer): transfer attachments and make remote retries preserve operation identity #382

Open

Description

@lukemaj

What: Remote launches and sends carry supported attachments and retry safely across credential rotation, while uncertain external effects are reported honestly.
Why: The approved parent spec identifies a location-dependent ownership or lifecycle gap in this workflow.
So what: Implement this independently provable slice after its native blockers are satisfied; review the exact candidate before integration.

Parent

#379

Outcome

Remote launches and sends carry supported attachments and retry safely across credential rotation, while uncertain external effects are reported honestly. This contributes to every machine and Drafter in one workspace and Promachos directing work across environments.

Elon record

Requirements and who asked: User-requested native cross-machine tool/lifecycle parity, specified and independently approved in #379.
Deleted: Parallel orchestration systems, privilege bypasses, schema-only completion claims and unrelated delivery work.
Bottleneck: This slice's application-service ownership and its stated predecessor contracts.
Checked myself: Source/review evidence in #379 at 3caa62c; actual current base and owned call sites must be rechecked before implementation.

Acceptance criteria

  • Stage authorized bytes through the destination attachment service with digest/MIME/size/owner and typed resource identities; no source filesystem path reinterpretation.
  • Add stable caller request identity to app-owned send/launch/upload consumption where missing; dedupe is durable across provider-session renewal and server restart.
  • Apply the stable namespace to downstream delegated command and Spectrum identities, not only the forwarding wrapper; new grant generations cannot replay protected old work.
  • Classify tools by read/owned/reconcilable/external-unknown effects; persist started external attempt before dispatch and return outcome_unknown without automatic replay on ambiguous failure.
  • Preserve existing PNG/HTML behavior and supported image/video/audio/document semantics; bound outputs and references instead of serializing huge media inline.

Non-goals

Public release/deployment, account/link capability changes without explicit consent, physical-device use, unrelated source cleanup, package version bumps, live user data testing, and declaring the whole parent complete from this component.

Blocked by

None. #380 is review-ready and internally integrated through PR #391 at ac4ce6b (tree identical to both-reviewed 6da62f8). Component proof: #380 (comment). The native #380 edge was cleared by the #379 planner; final outcome acceptance remains pending.

Required proof

Registered attachment/launch/send operations through peer transport; lost accepted replies, one-use upload race, credential rotation, crash during staging/consumption, changed input and external-unknown receipt. Verify exact bytes/digests and one durable message/launch. Include focused behavioral checks, sanitized identity-bound evidence and independent exact-candidate review. CI owns repository-wide checks.

What: Read-only mapping found that #382 needs explicit shared identity, dispatch and registration seams before its attachment and receipt implementation can be independent.
Why: Provider-session namespaces, attachment claims, downstream command IDs and external dispatch cross the provisional file boundaries.
So what: Parent resolves the requests below and resumes this same implementation job; this worker has made no source edits and stops after this packet.

    Exact starting state and authority

    Finite current-source ownership map

All paths below are in apps/server/src/ unless qualified. Source links bind to ac4, not a moving branch.

Boundary and concrete consumers State/effect owner observed now Proposed writer or collision
peer/PeerForwarding.ts: McpRouting.invoke, project launch handler, RemoteDelegation, remote thread read/interrupt/wait Encodes tool schemas, strips destination selector, preserves narrow return path, computes forwarded request key, prepares existing authority, calls PeerMcpClient, registers accepted pair #382 owns forwarding changes. #381 owns its authority/client/schema dependencies. The current attachment rejection is here; removing it alone is insufficient.
assets/AttachmentUpload.ts, attachmentStore.ts, attachmentPaths.ts; callers http.ts upload POST, ws.ts prepare/delete, MCP attachment handlers Signed metadata and size-limited streaming to .part then rename; pending sweep/deletion; random pending IDs and filesystem lookup. Current upload claims do not include digest or durable caller ownership. Upload POST is not a durable one-use reservation #382 owns AttachmentUpload and private transfer services. Request parent assignment for any needed attachmentStore.ts change. HTTP/WS hooks remain #381 writes. Preserve normal local upload contracts.
mcp/toolkits/attachment/{input,tools,handlers}.ts uploadOwners Map only protects discard, lost at restart; thread caller ownership survives provider sessions only in that process. Pending send resolves metadata, then generates a new command/message ID on every invocation. No send retry key in tool schema Request explicit #382 ownership of these three attachment-specific files and new tests, or #381 supplies thin service-call hooks. These are handlers/schema declarations, distinct from global toolkit registration. No independent global wiring edits by #382.
orchestration-v2/AttachmentClaims.ts, ThreadMessageIntake.ts; launch, message, queue edit, question answers, WebSocket and MCP intake Pending claim checks stored size/type and copies to a fresh random thread attachment ID; pending file remains retry source. Intake releases only definitely unused/unaccepted copies, retains uncertain outcomes, remaps composer context bindings Shared orchestration collision. #382 requests a claim/reservation hook keyed by stable consuming command and canonical attachment manifest. #381 writes shared intake hooks, or parent explicitly assigns narrowly scoped AttachmentClaims ownership. Do not duplicate dispatch/rollback logic in PeerForwarding.
ThreadLaunchService.ts, ThreadManagementService.ts, Orchestrator.ts, EventSink.ts, CommandReceiptStore.ts, persistence OrchestrationCommandReceipts.ts Launch replay/preparation, actual message/run acceptance, serialized command decisions, atomic events/projections/receipt/outbox commit, then EffectWorker execution #381 only. #382 reconciles with existing durable command receipt; it does not become a second message/launch orchestrator. Current replay guards target identity, not a complete caller-input fingerprint.
mcp/McpSessionRegistry.ts, McpInvocationContext.ts, auth/McpOAuth.ts Native scope requestNamespace = providerSessionId; outside client namespace is client:<sessionId>. Forwarding substitutes thread:<environment>:<thread> for thread callers, but destination code still derives IDs from its receiving scope #381 only. A single verified stable owner contract must reach local and forwarded consumers; changing only the fwd hash does not solve embedded namespaces.
mcp/OrchestratorMcpService.ts, ThreadMetadataMcpService.ts, mcp/toolkits/project/handlers.ts Stable command/thread/message IDs for local delegate/create/send/cancel/metadata/launch derive from scope.requestNamespace. Launch handler binds existing authority and uses replayOrLaunch before preparation #381 writes consumers. Retain effective caller loaders, accepted-message/run/effect ownership and actual-target checks.
peer/RemoteDelegation.ts Remote-delegate command and saved launch already use a stable originating thread namespace; saved launch captures linkIdentity and rejects replacement-grant recovery. Cancel still embeds scope.requestNamespace #381 only. Reuse existing launch provenance and generation checks, do not regress them or replace task/pair identity. delegate_task input currently has no attachments field; its forwarding guard mentions attachments but does not establish public support. No new delegate-attachment feature assumed.
spectrum/mcpToolkit.ts, mcpSend.ts, launch/controller services; scheduler creation IDs in OrchestratorMcpService Spectrum key directly includes scope.requestNamespace; transcript sends consume command/message IDs supplied by MCP service. Destination automation owner is a separate #384 requirement #384 writes Spectrum/scheduler modules; #381 writes global service hooks. #382 supplies shared identity semantics through parent, never edits their modules.
peer/PeerAuthority.ts, peerEffectAuthority.ts, mcp/threadAccess.ts, linkOrigin.ts, McpRouting.ts Live/frozen/legacy/all-contributor authority, actual source/target eligibility, pair return and effect owners. Authority action ID/digest is action validation, not a durable caller request ID; prepare can mint a fresh action on a retry #381 only. Request verified stable identity from this owner rather than trusting caller fields, raw actor modes, actionId or route history. Preserve R1-R8 fixes, accepted/rejected dispositions and independently created later local work.
mcp/McpToolAccess.ts, McpHttpServer.ts, tool declarations, runtimeLayers.ts Registered gates and production result formatting; manual image registrations preserve PNG blocks; McpRouting publishes prepared HTML on source. Preview handlers/Broker and device handlers/service dispatch external effects without a durable attempt receipt here #381 owns global declarations/hooks/registration/wiring. #382 can own private operation receipt persistence, but cannot enforce classification coverage alone. #383 owns future typed device commands, viewer/media relay and client presentation.
peer/PeerMcpClient.ts, packages/contracts/src/{assets,chatAttachment,orchestratorMcp,peerAuthority}.ts Authenticated peer HTTP/tool decoding, expected generation, PNG reconstruction, uploadOrigin; local attachment schemas distinguish image/file and preserve supported file MIME metadata #381 sole writer of shared contracts/client. #382 requests bounded attachment/artifact addresses and transfer hook, not generic arbitrary URL fetch or inline 50 MiB JSON.

    Exact parent/shared-owner requests before implementation

These are minimum caller-facing requirements for parent resolution, not an architecture decision or permission for this worker to edit shared files.

    1. Verified request owner and canonical identity. feat(peer): continue and stop remote delegated jobs after their first result #381 supplies a server-derived identity to feat(peer): transfer attachments and make remote retries preserve operation identity #382 and downstream callers: originating environment plus thread or stored delegation/client identity, destination, operation, caller key and validated grant-generation binding. Native local threads must survive credential rotation/restart; forwarded/onward jobs must retain original provenance and every relevant generation constraint. Same logical key with changed semantic input is a conflict; replacement generation must be denied or explicitly reconciled, never silently produce another protected action. Return-pair request identity stays pair-bound. Do not use action/record ID or live session as the durable namespace. Parent selects migration behavior for already persisted legacy IDs; no blanket rewriting or invented provenance.
    2. One shared wire schema owner. feat(peer): continue and stop remote delegated jobs after their first result #381 adds/exports the approved schema, potentially in a unique packages/contracts/src/peerAttachments.ts module: environment-qualified attachment/artifact ID, transfer/action identity, SHA-256 digest, MIME, byte length and source/destination ownership binding; bounded result variant with outcome_unknown, request identity and last confirmed stage. Shared tool inputs accept a caller key where absent, especially attachment prepare/consume/send and external actions. Owner claims are verified server-side. Existing ChatAttachment and PNG/HTML formats remain compatible. Parent decides exact schema names/module/negotiated capability and old-peer refusal, rather than feat(peer): transfer attachments and make remote retries preserve operation identity #382 adding conflicting schemas.
    3. Attachment service hooks. Parent assigns attachment toolkit files and claim integration as above. Shared HTTP/WS/global wiring calls the feat(peer): transfer attachments and make remote retries preserve operation identity #382 destination service for transfer finalization/consumption. Transfer uses existing app-owned upload bytes/streaming, validates source access and destination policy, recomputes digest/size before acceptance, persists owner and reservation, and never reinterprets a source path. PeerMcpClient needs an authenticated, generation-bound transfer entry point or an approved existing upload route adaptation. Request a bounded streaming hook for a typed attachment transfer, not a general URL/RPC proxy. Prepared URL/token stays private to transfer execution.
    4. Existing dispatch remains authoritative. feat(peer): continue and stop remote delegated jobs after their first result #381 passes stable command ID and approved refs to claim/intake and exposes receipt reconciliation without changing authority on retries. Persist claim intent/mapping before a crash can strand it; reserve one consuming command, recover that command against its actual command receipt, retain accepted files, and prohibit a rival consumer. Filesystem copy and SQLite are not one transaction. A forwarding success cache or random second claim does not close this gap. If these changes cannot be expressed as a small callee-owned hook, sequence this shared intake change under one writer before parallel work.
    5. Registered effect classification and predispatch hook. feat(peer): continue and stop remote delegated jobs after their first result #381 declares/tests each actual registration as read / durable-owned / externally-reconcilable / external-unknown and inserts the feat(peer): transfer attachments and make remote retries preserve operation identity #382 receipt service after current authority/resource checks and before external dispatch, including manual image registrations and local calls. feat(peer): view and drive remote browsers and devices from a source-only client #383's future device command must use the same hook. Only a demonstrated operation-specific reconciliation mechanism permits replay. An unresolved started external attempt after crash returns unknown and does not invoke the adapter again. This is not exactly-once external execution.
    6. Consumers and ownership handoff. feat(peer): continue and stop remote delegated jobs after their first result #381 updates native namespace creation and global launch/send/local-delegate/create/cancel/metadata plus RemoteDelegation generated IDs/provenance; feat(peer): run destination schedules webhooks and Spectrum while the creator is offline #384 updates Spectrum launch/participant IDs and automation creation using that same approved identity. feat(peer): transfer attachments and make remote retries preserve operation identity #382 owns PeerForwarding/AttachmentUpload, private transfer/request/receipt services and their tests. Parent alone updates global map/fork inventory and assigns shared test files; feat(peer): transfer attachments and make remote retries preserve operation identity #382 supplies exact changed-path inventory. feat(peer): view and drive remote browsers and devices from a source-only client #383 consumes bounded media references and supplies usable source-only client fetch; feat(peer): transfer attachments and make remote retries preserve operation identity #382 does not claim that client relay implemented.

Representative callers and smallest callee-owned seam

Type sketches below show required information, not committed public APIs. VerifiedOwner can only come from the authority owner; AttachmentAddress includes environment and resource ID, not a filesystem path.

    identify(scope, { destination, operation, clientRequestId })
      -> { owner: VerifiedOwner, actionId, commandId, grantBinding }

stage({ identity, source: AttachmentAddress, destination, manifest })
      -> { destination: AttachmentAddress, digest, mimeType, sizeBytes }

consume({ identity, targetThreadId, attachments }, dispatchExistingIntake)
      -> acceptedReceipt | inputConflict | ownerDenied | transferIncomplete

executeExternal({ identity, inputDigest, operation, target }, existingAdapter)
      -> confirmedResult | { status: "outcome_unknown", requestId, lastConfirmedStage }
    • Common: A's thread prepares/stages an authorized source PNG/PDF onto B, then sends or launches using the destination address and one caller key. The callee owns byte verification, reservation, stable claim mapping, dispatch and reconciliation. Caller does not copy paths, mint downstream random IDs or manually mark consumption.
    • Failure: B commits the message/launch but its accepted response is lost. Reissued A credential and rebuilt runtimes retry the same request. Identity and digest match, B reads the existing command/claim outcome and returns the same IDs; one persisted message/launch and identical digest remain. A new key is not substituted automatically.
    • Awkward: Two consuming commands race one prepared upload while one caller continues through a delegated chain/Spectrum. Exactly one command reserves it; only that command can reconcile after crash. Same-key changed bytes/MIME/target fails before another effect. Relink generation change denies old protected recovery; it does not authorize a second launch. For an accepted browser/device action with no completion, the same key returns outcome_unknown, leaving read-only inspection available.

Strongest rejected shortcut: only remove the forwarding attachment rejection and cache its response. It leaves volatile upload ownership, random claims, native/Spectrum rotating namespaces and external crash ambiguity intact. Recommended sequencing is shared identity/schema/hooks first, #382 end-to-end transfer/receipt slice next, then #384/#383 consumer integration. This is a dependency recommendation, not permission to change topology.

Meaningful proof planned after ownership resolution

No tests were executed in this read-only mapping phase. These are proof obligations, not green claims. Retain original failing-before evidence for the high-risk new cases, then run the same registered transport and real persistence path after repair. Use deterministic external provider/browser/device adapters, actual SQLite/attachment files, effect-worker drain or explicit persisted-event/Deferred milestones, never sleeps/polling or a second product server.

Registered behavior Independent oracle and falsifier
Prepare/upload/remote send and remote launch Literal fixture bytes independently SHA-256 hashed; destination file equals original, correct MIME/size/owner, one durable message/run or launch. A no-op mocked forwarding result cannot pass.
Lost accepted reply + provider credential renewal + runtime reconstruction Lose response only after real persisted acceptance, rebuild against same isolated database/files, retry same key. Persisted command/message/thread/run IDs and count stay identical. A rotating namespace or memory cache fails.
Concurrent one-use consumption Deferred barriers race two distinct commands through registered intake; one durable reservation/consumer and one launch/message, rival refusal. Sequential reuse alone is insufficient.
Crash stages Interrupt after staging intent, part write, verified rename, reservation, real command commit and before consume acknowledgement. Rebuild service; incomplete bytes never launch, accepted files remain, matching command recovers without a second claim/effect.
Changed input Same key with changed exact bytes/digest, MIME/size, text, target or launch intent returns conflict and unchanged events/outbox/files. Existing target-only command receipt replay is insufficient.
Grant generation and route Credential rotation retains identity; revoke/relink cannot recover protected old work or create a duplicate. Preserve current joint-owner/legacy/actual-target/return-pair positives and denials from #380.
Downstream namespace consumers Registered local/remote delegate and Spectrum launches with renewed credentials/restart preserve original task/thread/participant IDs; #381/#384 own those test changes. Parent retains task/pair generation and accepted-input effect assertions.
External unknown Durable started record precedes adapter invocation; adapter confirms an external action then response disappears, or runtime restarts before completed receipt. Repeat same key invokes adapter zero additional times and returns unknown with bounded stage; no false success. Pre-dispatch denial produces zero adapter calls.
Media compatibility Keep existing production PNG registration and forwarded HTML tests in peer/PeerToolRouting.test.ts; add file MIME roundtrips for supported video/audio/documents and bounded environment-qualified artifact metadata. No huge inline output or destination-local path. #383 proves actual authenticated fetch/client presentation.

Existing reusable test seams: peer/PeerLinks.testkit.ts authenticated loopback transport; peer/PeerForwarding.test.ts forwarding/launch identity cases; peer/PeerToolRouting.test.ts actual registrations including PNG/HTML; peer/PeerAuthority.workflow.test.ts real persistence/authority fixture; assets/AttachmentUpload.test.ts, orchestration-v2/AttachmentClaims.test.ts filesystem and interruption behavior. Prefer new #382-owned integration test files using these seams over editing another worker's suite. Mock only external adapters, not receipt/intake/orchestration logic. Focused file tests, affected types/lint/exports and fork inventory only; parent/CI own broader proof and both fresh exact-candidate reviews.

    Upstream-first evidence and remaining unknowns

    • Live upstream main on inspection: 13aa882c22d584de5388dfce3b3ca413387ba059 (2026-10-17). Read its relevant source: attachment handler still uses in-memory uploadOwners and a fresh command ID; McpSessionRegistry still assigns providerSessionId as requestNamespace; AttachmentUpload retains signed URL/streaming behavior. peer/PeerForwarding.ts is absent on that main (HTTP 404). No merged replacement for this combined contract was established.
    • Bounded open PR/Issue searches for attachment, peer, idempotency and exact title combinations attachment peer, outcome_unknown, idempotency found no matching complete solution. Related open PRs: upstream #16654 launch request key, #16719 remote delegation, #20937 source-restart recovery. Read #20937's current body/file map and pertinent diff; fork already contains source intent-before-launch, saved namespace and generation rejection, so do not import another recovery subsystem or claim it fixes attachment/unknown receipts. Search results include unrelated upload UI/media work; not candidate fixes for this ownership gap. No upstream patch ported or runtime-verified here.
    • Needs parent resolution: approved verified-owner/schema seam and legacy persisted identity policy; exact AttachmentClaims/intake/toolkit writer assignments; global classification/registration hook; feat(peer): continue and stop remote delegated jobs after their first result #381/feat(peer): run destination schedules webhooks and Spectrum while the creator is offline #384 adoption sequence and feat(peer): view and drive remote browsers and devices from a source-only client #383 media handoff. Those are shared architecture/ownership dependencies, not unavailable evidence or new product choices.
    • Runtime unknown: no new red/green, transport restart, real provider/client/media or physical-topology proof has run for feat(peer): transfer attachments and make remote retries preserve operation identity #382. It remains implementation-pending. No servers/devices/provider prompts/webhooks/live userdata, installs, protected artifacts, other worktrees, source writes, commits, pushes, PRs, merge, shipment, approval status or blocker changes in this phase. Preserve all parent resources.

Requirements and who asked: Parent assigned #382 under frozen approved #379 v5: authorized destination attachments, durable request identity, safe one-use consumption and honest external outcomes, beginning with read-only ownership mapping.
Deleted: Forwarding-only dedupe, duplicate orchestration, raw-mode authority, random retry replacement, invented delegate-attachment support, generic URL proxies, broad local suites and unassigned shared edits.
Bottleneck: One verified stable identity and callee-owned claim/dispatch/registration contracts shared with #381/#384; filenames alone do not provide independence.
Checked myself: Live #379/#382 contracts and comments, #380 historical dispositions/current source, ac4 Git/tree/remotes/cleanliness/live integration base, actual upload/claim/intake/receipt/namespace/delegation/Spectrum/registration consumers, current upstream source/search and existing registered PNG/HTML tests. No runtime-success claim.

What: #381 now has exclusive implementation authority for the lifecycle/shared gateway path; #382 and #384 retain their separate worktrees and wait at the shared-interface boundary.
Why: All three source maps establish actual shared request identity, dispatch, native/effect authority and registration seams, so concurrent end-to-end writes are not yet independent.
So what: Complete a stable native #381 candidate first, then continue the same #382/#384 jobs with concrete shared hooks and one writer; no extra native dependency edge or design-scope change is introduced.

Exact common base ac4ce6b. Maps: #381, #382, #384. Parent read all maps and independently confirmed live-session requestNamespace, Spectrum/outcome-check consumers, volatile uploadOwners, random attachment send identity and remote original-result stop predicates in actual source.

#381's same Sol MEDIUM job resumed ordinal2 through 379-381-ownership-approved-implement-v1 and received final aggregation379-381-map-aggregation-sequence-v1. It owns lifecycle RemoteDelegation, observation/questions/completion/intake/query/projection, source-mediated lifecycle client status/navigation and affected tests; shared packages/contracts, PeerAuthority/Record/McpClient/control frames, global MCP/routing/registrations, orchestration/runtime/SQL initialization/server/ws, map/inventory. Parent retains architecture/interface/topology decisions and final proof/review/integration. No worker rebase/merge or product server/device.

Selected lifecycle boundary follows frozen v5: typed existing-pair observation/replay/ack with launch/grant binding and durable ordered event identity, bounded pages/subscriptions/release and explicit stale/unsupported state; source command transaction commits observation/projection/wake intent; immutable original result plus actual qualified latest real run and truthful children/queue/recovery/request state; existing completion/question/ack/restart policy, one eligible task/run/event wake and monitor exclusion. Same-job send re-arms observation. Stop/cancel retains exact obligations and honest unconfirmed versus destination evidence after first result. No foreign local IDs or fake shell, generic reverse RPC or arbitrary URL proxy. Source-only lifecycle client view uses owned local task identity and qualified resource/cursor, guarded commands and existing services, no saved B credential. #369 owns later response/action policy; #383 consumes typed viewer/media seams later. Negotiated unsupported peers fail before effects. #380 authority and all R1-R8 regressions remain.

#382 retains PeerForwarding and attachment/receipt/stable-request identity domain. #384 ownership explicitly includes scheduledTaskChecks/** as well as scheduledTasks/** and spectrum/**; its concrete requestNamespace consumers use the one #382-derived stable value through shared intake, never a competing identity scheme. No #384 shared authority/gateway writes, no #382 global intake/contract writes yet. Claim/intake/toolkit assignments and external-attempt registration must be settled against actual hooks, not independent caches. Do not build speculative #382/#384 schema scaffolding inside #381 merely to force parallelism. Their maps and prescribed proofs are retained; they resume their same jobs rather than replacement writers when the shared predecessor is stable.

This is routine single-writer scheduling under the user's parallel-when-truly-disjoint condition, not a reopened design, new human gate or claim those outcomes are implemented. Native feature graph remains unchanged after only justified #380 edge clearance. No human response is needed.

Requirements and who asked: User requires complete approved #379 outcomes, one shared contract/topology owner and parallel implementation only when genuinely disjoint.
Deleted: Concurrent edits to one authority/identity/dispatch model, speculative abstraction/hooks and independent false readiness from file separation.
Bottleneck: Shared lifecycle/caller/dispatch foundation and source-only client view need one complete stable implementation before dependent hooks can be proved end to end.
Checked myself: All three actual ownership packets and base/workspaces, concrete namespace/attachment/stop source, clear domain/shared ownership, existing frozen contracts and the precise native graph after #380 integration.

What: Parent assigns #381 the narrow PeerForwarding interrupt-option hunk needed to bind recorded task stops to their original link generation.
Why: A source precheck cannot prevent relink between checking the link and the actual forwarded interrupt; the existing forward callee already enforces expectedLinkIdentity.
So what: The #381 writer threads an optional fourth option through the existing path and proves the race denial; #382 remains stopped and resumes later from the reviewed baseline.

Parent inspected service signature, existing forward option and interrupt implementation at ac4; verified #382's worktree remains clean and its job stopped. Approved only PeerForwarding.ts interruptThread signature/implementation: optional fourth {readonly expectedLinkIdentity:string}, passed as existing forward seventh argument. Existing three-argument callers remain compatible. No namespace, grant, authority arithmetic or broader effect-policy change. #381 passes its recorded remote.launch.linkIdentity, with relink-before-dispatch negative/no-stop-effect and lawful same-generation proof. A matching narrowly scoped forwarding test hunk may be added if necessary. No edits in the #382 workspace.

This is one explicit file-hunk ownership transfer to the current sole active writer, not concurrent writers or a new feature. It remains in #381's complete candidate and both required exact-candidate reviews. Attachment/retry work in PeerForwarding otherwise remains #382's domain.

Requirements and who asked: #381 implementer identified the concrete stop/relink race under frozen #379 launch-generation authority.
Deleted: A non-atomic precheck, replacement-generation inference and duplicate authority logic.
Bottleneck: Recorded lifecycle stops need the existing callee-owned generation fence to reach actual forwarding.
Checked myself: Current signature/options/forward call, #382 stopped/clean state, compatibility and exact scope of the proposed pass-through.

What: #382 resumes end-to-end implementation on the reviewed #381 integration base, with sole ownership of its necessary shared identity/attachment/registration changes.
Why: #381 is internally integrated and stopped; the prior maps showed these shared consumers cannot safely have competing writers.
So what: Complete and prove #382, then hand off an exact internal component PR for BOTH new independent MEDIUM reviews; #384 stays stopped and #369 initially maps read-only.

OWNERSHIP TRANSFER, superseding only prior map reservations for #382:
You are now sole code writer for all #382-required shared contracts, PeerAuthority/PeerMcpClient/PeerForwarding, stable MCP scope namespace and its consumers, registered routing/effect classification/predispatch receipt hooks, attachment toolkit input/tools/handlers, AttachmentUpload/store/path/AttachmentClaims/intake, launch/message/orchestrator receipt hooks, persistence/schema initialization, HTTP/WS/server/runtime production wiring, focused shared proof and fork inventory/map/docs for YOUR component. You may edit necessary shared files formerly reserved to #381 because that writer is stopped. Preserve one identity/authority owner, existing native orchestration and callee sequencing. Do not build another launch/message orchestrator or forward-only cache.
Spectrum and scheduledTaskChecks identity-only call sites may be updated by YOU to consume the same stable namespace, with focused preservation tests; do not implement #384 autonomy or #385 secret changes. Their writers are stopped, and no #369 source writes are permitted concurrently until separately assigned. Existing #381 lifecycle client views/Stop/observation semantics must remain equivalent; do not extend #369 answer policy or #383 device/media UI. No speculative future hooks. Parent retains cross-component decisions, interfaces and topology; report a concrete material design conflict with source evidence, otherwise proceed with routine reversible implementation within frozen contract.

    1. One durable server-verified caller identity owner, used by native AND forwarded downstream command/task/Spectrum IDs. Derive from authenticated originating environment/thread or persisted delegation/client identity, exact operation/caller key and validated original grant generation, never providerSessionId or fresh actionId. Credential rotation/restart same authorized job retains identity; changed semantic inputs conflict; replacement generation cannot replay protected old work or silently duplicate. Preserve existing accepted original request/task/pair/generation provenance. Imported records missing verifiable ownership stay legacy/safe unsupported where needed, no blanket ID rewrites, guessed provenance or retroactive broader authority. Keep local legacy behavior when safe, explicit negotiation before new effects, and registered import/mixed-version/red-green proof.
    2. Shared attachment wire contracts stay at packages/contracts; YOU own the minimal typed schema and exact capability negotiation as part of this component. Reuse current ChatAttachment/media formats, bounded environment-qualified refs, exact digest/MIME/size/owner binding. Transfer uses authenticated generation-bound app-owned byte streaming, not a generic URL/RPC proxy, inline huge JSON or source-path reinterpretation. Verify source access and destination policy/recomputed bytes before acceptance. No new delegate attachment feature beyond actual supported public inputs unless frozen contract/source requires it.
    3. YOU own claim/reservation hooks at actual attachment/intake owner. Stable consuming command plus canonical manifest records intent/mapping before stranded crash windows; reconcile with real existing command receipts, retain accepted files, refuse rival consumption. Filesystem and SQLite are not magically atomic. Existing native dispatch owns command/run/effect acceptance and replay.
    4. YOU own catalog-derived classification and predispatch durable attempt hook for existing actual registered tools including manual PNG paths/local calls. Authority/resource checks precede attempt acceptance; started record precedes external adapter invocation. Durable app-owned mutations reconcile their owning receipt, externally reconcilable operations replay ONLY with real operation-specific mechanism, unresolved started external attempts return bounded outcome_unknown with identity/stage and do not reexecute. Read/inspection stays available. Future typed device383 must consume this declared hook, but no speculative device executor now.
    5. End-to-end feat(peer): transfer attachments and make remote retries preserve operation identity #382 proof is required, not identity/schema scaffolding alone. Your map's full registered proof matrix remains acceptance: actual byte/digest/MIME media roundtrips, remote supported send/launch, lost committed reply, renewed credentials and reconstructed services, concurrent one-use rival, staging/rename/reserve/commandcommit/ack crash recovery, changed input conflicts and no extra effects, original grant/revoke/relink/route/all-contributor/actual-target positives+denials, native/remote/Spectrum downstream IDs, ambiguous external dispatch with exactly zero additional adapter calls on retry, existing registered PNG/HTML. Mock only external adapter/provider boundary, not intake/receipt/authority/orchestration. Include production runtime/kernel composition tests and minimal/absent-service/auth-denial paths so testkit-only layers do not mask missing exports/routes again. CI owns broad checks. No sleeps/pollers to synchronize tests.
    6. All feat(peer): remote children return results and delegate onward within durable grants #380 R1-R8 and feat(peer): continue and stop remote delegated jobs after their first result #381 R1S1/G1,R2S2,R3expiry/localcallback,R4productioncomposition fixes survive. Source same-key historical Stop replay under command lock preserves newer intent; null-child reconciliation requires exact authenticated original return pair+authority proof; later actual native Stop effect and A->B->C recovery retain bounded purpose-specific authority; original terminal-COMMIT result immutable; lifecycle marker negotiated server-owned, old380 remote.launch shape not inferred; source-only navigation/local one-arg callback preserved; new expiry capped existing sentinel not row rewrites. Approved PeerForwarding optional expectedLinkIdentity must remain effective. Stop source ending first is not ordinary liveness authority.

Deliver complete candidate by committing/pushing and opening internal PR against feat/379-cross-machine-parity, app-link it, update map in samePR and full durable #382 handoff with exact base/head/tree/workspace, changed paths/ownership, proof commands/results and red-green artifacts, all limits/unresolved observations, cost gaps and future consumer seam. Read-only references instead of restated direction. BOTH fresh independent codex/gpt-6.1-sol/MEDIUM and installed grok/grok-4.7/MEDIUM reviews are parent dispatched on current candidate. Do not set review success or claim final acceptance. No merge/retarget/rebase/blocker clear/Issue close/version bump/ship.

Resource restrictions: no canonical main writes, /Users/rocky/dev/toolboxmd/chromeria remains protected diverged; no old /Users/rocky/build/chromeria-mobile or archives/IPAs/logs/lease/canonical delivery script. No live userdata writes, other worktrees, independent worker product servers/browser/devices or physical phones. Parent owns isolated client acceptance/homes/ports and all delivery targets. No new credentials/account/access/capability grants, installs or public release. No shell agent CLI/native delegation. If useful truly disjoint assistance is needed, request exact file ownership first, then user permits visible T3 Grok4.7MEDIUM only with actual selection verified, no shared writer. Keep transient scripts/raw traces out of tracked source/public artifacts. Observer cost via supported workflow only, unknown stays unknown.

Requirements and who asked: User's frozen #379 and #382 full native outcome with stable identities, bytes and truthful outcomes.
Deleted: Competing shared writers, schema-only claim, rotating identities, response cache dedupe, generic proxies, speculative future hooks and retrying unknown external effects.
Bottleneck: Complete shared request/claim/dispatch/registered receipt owner after stable #381.
Checked myself: Integrated exact reviewed tree, both complete reviews/currentCI, parent actual proof, stopped #381/#382 runs, clean #382 worktree advanced to c842, and your full ownership/proof map.

What: #382 has a working registered peer attachment launch/replay and durable external-attempt proof; the full component is still in progress.
Why: Stable request ownership must survive credential renewal without duplicating accepted native work or repeating an ambiguous external action.
So what: This writer continues the remaining import, media, crash-recovery and production composition proof before opening the internal component PR for parent-dispatched reviews.

Requirements and who asked: Frozen #379 v5 and the parent ownership transfer in this Issue require stable identities, destination-staged verified bytes, native receipt reconciliation, and truthful unknown external outcomes.
Deleted: Parallel shared writers, a replacement launch orchestrator, response-cache deduplication for native work, generic URL proxies, and blind retries of external ambiguity.
Bottleneck: Complete request/claim ownership and registered proof across legacy imports and all supported callers; no review-ready claim yet.
Checked myself: Exclusive branch/path remains feat/382-peer-attachments-retries at base c8423b4a9706c18f83efdd27db0d3c7c2571e2a8 (tree 305d63ed38070ac5b0f382e603eec11425118cf0), with only this job's uncommitted changes. Persisted selection is Codex/gpt-6.1-sol/medium. No other writer, product server, browser, provider CLI or device was started.

    Retained observations, not final acceptance:

    • Native credential renewal namespace reproduction failed on baseline for the intended random namespace mismatch and passed with stable thread identity (McpSessionRegistry.test.ts).
    • Registered real authority/kernel/HTTP/MCP/native intake proof transfers exact PDF bytes to the destination, loses the reply after a committed launch, renews credentials/reconstructs peer services, and returns the original thread/message/run/attachment IDs with one accepted launch. Changed input is refused.
    • Registered browser proof observes the persisted started row before an external adapter action, reports typed outcome_unknown with the original caller key and confirmed stage, and retries with exactly zero additional adapter calls. Read inspection remains available.
    • That proof exposed Effect MCP's Error.message-only failure encoding. The transport now uses validated return-mode failures, explicitly scrubbing ordinary error fields while preserving bounded typed orchestration refusals/receipts. Existing PNG/snapshot registration stays with its current owner.
    • A focused preservation run found a legacy Stop JSON property-order digest regression introduced by adding shared request input. The narrower field-order repair passes the original checked-generation Stop proof; canonical digests remain negotiated for the new protocol.
    • Real SQLite/filesystem receipt/staging/claim tests: 17 passed in the last unit run. A broader focused preservation run had 74 pass and 3 fail before the above repairs: Stop digest, a failure wire-format assertion, and a browser fixture lacking the newly required receipt service. They are retained observations, not relabeled as a passing gate. Current types and affected proof are still being repaired/revalidated.

Implementation keeps native orchestration receipts as acceptance owner. Durable upload manifests/reservations precede claim copying; complete copied bytes publish without overwriting the first final claim; accepted command receipts retain delivered files, including later independent edits. Claims with a durable MCP owner refuse a missing authenticated scope instead of falling through to legacy consumption.

Upstream-first refresh: pingdotgg/t3code main was 07cb90286656393e395192d82f5c9980b604ef31; bounded open PR searches for peer attachment/idempotency work found no matching replacement. Prior complete source/main/Issue findings remain in the read-only map reference. No upstream port is claimed.

Still required: imported legacy/mixed-version safety, comprehensive media/send/downstream identity proof, deterministic crash boundaries and reopened persistence, full affected type/lint/fork checks, component map/inventory, exact candidate handoff and both new reviews. Parent retains all real product/client/provider/device/topology acceptance. Costs remain unknown until supported Observer sync/publish is available; no manual attribution or rates.

What: #382 may report outcome_unknown for genuinely unreconcilable nontransactional effects, but must retain native receipt recovery wherever the operation already reaches a durable native owner.
Why: Frozen v5 classifies by the actual effect owner; being an app-owned tool does not make filesystem writes atomic, and lacking a caller key does not make an existing native command inherently unreconcilable.
So what: Continue with the bounded distinctions below; no universal per-owner journal or second orchestrator is required.

Parent adjudication of the three concrete cases from the worker's current source report, preserving frozen #379 Retry semantics by effect owner and assignment6242479006:

    1. Preferences file update: YES, the durable started/confirmed hook after actual current authority/resource preflight is permitted for the nontransactional settings-file effect. If the process loses knowledge after the write and no operation-specific receipt can prove that exact action, outcome_unknown is truthful and the same key must never reapply the patch. Reading current matching settings alone does not prove this action committed, especially after later independent edits or an ABA transition. Persist confirmed normal result when available; lost replies after confirmed persistence replay that result. Retain local supported semantics and do not create a SQL/settings distributed transaction or put private settings/secrets in receipts.

    2. Title-only named project: preserve the actual ManagedProjectFolders owner, including its exact folder claim/scaffolding/Git/error cleanup. Extend it minimally to accept the verified stable request-derived project/command identity (and persist any exact selected resource binding needed before dispatch) so native ProjectService acceptance can reconcile the original project after a committed-create reply is lost. Do not retain a fresh random native project ID hidden behind a blanket external-unknown wrapper. Filesystem/Git substeps truly lacking completion evidence can still be outcome_unknown, must not be rerun or cleaned as if certainly unaccepted, and must not allocate a second folder/project. A generic receipt cache is not a substitute for reading the exact native receipt. No universal atomic filesystem journal is required.

    3. run_scheduled_task_now: this already reaches native ThreadLaunchService/ThreadManagementService with command/message IDs, but its manual fireKey uses startedAt. Give this owner the same verified stable manual request identity and freeze the exact schedule incarnation/accepted intent needed by the existing owner, then derive/reconcile the native command/message/launch receipt from that identity. Do not use a new clock-derived manual fire on retry or infer exact acceptance from current runCount/lastRunAt alone. Keep native launch/send semantics, honest queued-versus-provider-started states and ensure replay does not double count/reschedule/overwrite later independent state. Genuinely unresolved external provider effects remain unknown under their own owner, not automatically replayed. This is narrowly feat(peer): transfer attachments and make remote retries preserve operation identity #382 manual-request/reconciliation work, not feat(peer): run destination schedules webhooks and Spectrum while the creator is offline #384 autonomy/claim authority redesign.

Explicit ownership: #382 remains sole shared writer. Parent adds only the necessary ManagedProjectFolders implementation/tests and ScheduledTaskService manual-run stable request/receipt path and related input/contract/tests to #382's existing assignment; #384 is still stopped and must later preserve these boundaries. No competing owner, package bump, topology/merge/ship permission or new feature is added. Existing local callers without a request key keep their deliberate local semantics; negotiated keyed calls gain durable identity. Imported records do not get guessed identities or broad rewrites. You own routine exact shape at these callees under software-design/current contract; raise a concrete impossible recovery window with source/proof instead of adding broad machinery.

Proof required at registered/native owners: normal acceptance and confirmed-result replay, lost reply after actual native commit followed by credential renewal/reconstructed services, failure before commit, same key changed semantic input, rival concurrent action, replacement generation denial, and later independent settings/project/schedule work not overwritten by historical replay. For true filesystem/settings uncertainty, stop at the exact retained ambiguous stage, reconstruct, same-key returns unknown with zero reexecution, no duplicate folder/project/provider-start and no unsafe cleanup. Preserve existing ordinary local behavior and scheduler bookkeeping. Keep actual red/green/counterexamples and unknown limits. Neither a successful tool return nor started receipt proves atomic effect completion.

Source personally checked on c842: environment/handlers.ts preferences update calls settings.updateSettings within caller-thread lock; serverSettings.ts owns atomic file replacement but no action receipt in that mutation. project/handlers.ts title-only creation calls createNamedProject, which claims/scaffolds and mints UUID then native ProjectService.create(named-project:). ScheduledTaskService.runTask already uses native stable-capable command/message IDs but default manual fireKey contains clock milliseconds. These facts support precise per-effect treatment rather than a blanket classification.

Requirements and who asked: Frozen #379 v5 requires stable app-owned request identity/recoverable native acceptance and truthful ambiguous external effects; worker requested adjudication of three actual owner gaps.
Deleted: Universal receipt journals/distributed atomicity, blind retries, a second orchestrator, and blanket downgrading existing native acceptance to unknown.
Bottleneck: Exact stable identity must reach the callee that owns native acceptance before classifying the remaining external ambiguity.
Checked myself: Full current worker proof record6243052115, registered handlers, real ManagedProjectFolders/native project create, settings persistence owner and scheduler manual fireKey/native dispatch path; no parent runtime or behavioral proof of these new changes claimed.

What: Approve the bounded confirmed-operation receipt variant for negotiated keyed MCP preferences updates.
Why: The existing response includes custom writing instructions; persisting that projection for replay would retain private settings outside their owner.
So what: Implement this variant at the typed tool/result owner and replay only the sanitized receipt; use the existing read operation for current preferences.

This resolves the dependent response question under frozen #379 and parent decision6243204802. The frozen contract requires truthful stable replay, not storage of the entire legacy settings projection. No private-response store, encrypted SQL blob, second settings owner or new journal is needed.

For the negotiated keyed path, return a schema-declared, unambiguous confirmed-operation variant with only applied:true, the existing verified request identity and confirmed stage/status (reuse the component's established receipt representation where appropriate). Store and replay exactly that sanitized variant. It confirms this original action was applied at its acceptance point; it does not assert that current preferences still equal that historical patch. Existing t3_environment_read remains the authorized owner for fresh current preferences, including its present bounded writing instructions. Do not automatically read and merge current preferences into a historical receipt.

Preserve the existing no-key/legacy local result shape and behavior. The new variant must be described in actual tool discovery/schema and used only with the component's negotiated keyed contract; route/PeerMcpClient/result decoding must preserve it, not cast it into PreferenceFields or silently drop fields. Old peers must not receive a result they cannot understand or silently lose checked authority. Do not change ordinary authenticated client settings behavior as a side effect.

Neither private response text nor raw private patch input belongs in request/attempt/semantic receipt rows, diagnostics, public proof or error payloads. A canonical input digest may bind changed-input conflicts without storing the raw customInstructions. Retain the existing settings service as the actual settings owner. If another receipt path currently stores a full canonical input body, make the minimal per-operation sanitization needed here and prove the text absent rather than adding a generic secret export/cache.

Required focused registered proof: keyed update returns the declared bounded receipt; confirmed lost-reply/restart/credential-renewal replay returns the same receipt with zero settings writes; a later independent settings edit remains intact, while the existing read tool returns its current projection; same key plus changed private instructions conflicts without storing either text; a true write-to-confirmation crash remains outcome_unknown with no reapplication. Ordinary no-key result shape, access/mode/generation checks and notification behavior stay covered. Inspect the actual persisted receipt/attempt rows and decoded wire result using unmistakable isolated fixture text, not real private settings. No product server/browser/live-data write is authorized for workers.

Parent source check: environment/handlers.ts preferences() copies sourceControlWritingStyle.customInstructions capped at4000; tools.ts currently declares success as PreferenceFields. Both are the real result owner that must change compatibly for the negotiated variant. No new architecture or human decision is required; continue the same codex/gpt-6.1-sol/MEDIUM job.

Requirements and who asked: Worker requested resolution of replay privacy versus legacy response shape; #379 requires stable truthful receipts and privacy.
Deleted: Persisting private preference projections/input text, a second private-response owner, and presenting current settings as the historical receipt.
Bottleneck: Typed negotiated result shape at the existing tool owner.
Checked myself: Actual preference projection, update handler and declared success schema; no runtime proof of this new variant claimed.

What: The approved keyed preferences result now passes registered MCP privacy and replay proof in the uncommitted #382 component.
Why: The legacy projection includes private writing instructions, while retry confirmation needs only the original verified operation receipt.
So what: Continue the same implementation through remaining native owners and the complete registered proof matrix; no review-ready candidate or acceptance is claimed.

Continuation references: parent ownership/integration, per-effect adjudication, and the latest parent approval of the sanitized typed preferences variant. The existing partial proof record remains historical evidence, with its stated limits.

Current Git state: exclusive workspace /Users/rocky/.t3/worktrees/chromeria/feat-382-peer-attachments-retries, branch feat/382-peer-attachments-retries, HEAD/base c8423b4a9706c18f83efdd27db0d3c7c2571e2a8, base tree 305d63ed38070ac5b0f382e603eec11425118cf0. Substantial owned uncommitted implementation remains. No commit, push, PR, merge, release, browser, product server, device or real provider acceptance occurred.

Typed settings result: the existing environment toolkit declares the legacy result plus confirmed-operation variant. Negotiated keyed updates return only type, applied, original requestId, verified operationId and confirmed stage. Its exact sanitized result is persisted. Semantic binding stores only a digest, without the private patch or preference projection. No-key local updates retain their projection; current preferences remain available through the existing read tool. The actual settings service and its persistence/notification owner remain unchanged.

Focused registered proof: ./node_modules/.bin/vp test run apps/server/src/peer/PeerAuthority.workflow.test.ts -t preferences382. The isolated fixture uses the real settings service, actual atomic file replacement, real SQLite request owner, MCP authentication/routing/discovery success schema and decoded HTTP result. It proves the bounded receipt, credential-renewed replay with zero extra settings writes, reconstructed SQLite receipt owner, changed private instructions conflict, later independent settings edit preserved by historical replay, current read projection, legacy no-key shape, and private fixture text absent from persisted receipt rows. A deterministic fault after the real settings rename proves the write happened, reconstructs the real settings service to observe it, then verifies same-key outcome_unknown with zero reapplication. This is isolated adapter fault proof, not process-kill or live product verification.

Retained failing-before artifact /tmp/chromeria-382-preferences-red.log: temporarily restoring only the two baseline environment tool/handler owners returns the legacy private projection instead of the declared bounded receipt. Candidate owners were restored in finally. Passing artifact /tmp/chromeria-382-preferences-green.log. A first proof harness query incorrectly selected state confirmed; the ledger's existing state is completed. That failed run is retained as a harness error and is not red/green evidence.

Native project owner progress: ./node_modules/.bin/vp test run apps/server/src/project/ManagedProjectFolders.test.ts passed all 15 owner tests at that source state. The new disk-backed case loses the actual native project-create reply, reopens persistence/reconstructs the owner and recovers one project/folder while preserving a later README edit. Baseline allocated two projects. Retained red/green /tmp/chromeria-382-named-red.log, /tmp/chromeria-382-named-green.log, full-owner /tmp/chromeria-382-named-owner.log. Additional crash and registered composition cases remain required.

Manual scheduler owner progress: the verified request identity now reaches the existing native launch/message owner rather than a clock-derived fire key. Ordinary unkeyed runs retain their path. A registered/native proof interrupts after actual native acceptance and reconstructs scheduler services. It exposed a real double-count interaction with ordinary startup interrupted-run recovery; keyed pending admissions are now reconciled through their native owner instead. Passing focused artifact /tmp/chromeria-382-manual-preferences-green.log (two tests at that source state); original failing counterexample /tmp/chromeria-382-manual-first.log. Further manual and fork policy preservation proof is still underway.

Outstanding: complete source/caller audit; full required media/claim/crash/identity/native/Spectrum and production composition matrix; exact-current affected types/lint/fork inventory/map; self-review; commit/push/internal component PR; both fresh independent MEDIUM reviews dispatched by parent; parent integration and actual clients. Earlier full preservation evidence is historical until rerun against the completed source. Current compile work is incomplete, with new finite diagnostics being repaired. Observer cost remains unknown; no manual price/rate/attribution estimate was made.

Upstream refresh: upstream main resolved to 07cb90286656393e395192d82f5c9980b604ef31; bounded open PR/Issue searches for attachment/peer/idempotency, named-project idempotency and scheduled manual-request retry found no matching ready fix. Prior upstream recovery PR20937 is already represented in the fork; no competing upstream port is claimed.

Requirements and who asked: Frozen #379/#382 and the parent's explicit privacy/per-effect decisions require stable verified identities, native receipt recovery and truthful unknown outcomes without persisting private settings.
Deleted: Private preference response/input storage, a second settings owner, blind filesystem retries, random keyed native project/manual identities and replacement orchestration.
Bottleneck: Complete callee-owned intent/claim/receipt recovery and its registered behavioral proof before producing one exact reviewable component.
Checked myself: Actual current Git state; real settings replacement and persisted SQL rows; decoded registered MCP result; native project receipts; manual native acceptance and restart counterexample. No final candidate, independent approval or live/client acceptance is claimed.

What: A new registered counterexample shows that replaying schedule_task can overwrite a later independent edit.
Why: The stable native task ID reaches ScheduledTaskService.upsert, but creation replay still executes its ordinary mutable upsert and has no retained acceptance binding after deletion or replacement.
So what: Parent must resolve this additional typed receipt boundary; the same worker continues independent #382 proof and has not opened a PR.

Exact candidate state remains owned uncommitted work on base/HEAD c8423b4a9706c18f83efdd27db0d3c7c2571e2a8, exclusive branch/workspace from the current proof record. No topology or delivery change.

New counterexample: ./node_modules/.bin/vp test run apps/server/src/peer/PeerAuthority.workflow.test.ts -t scheduler-replay382 fails at the actual registered owner. It creates a schedule, edits its title through update_scheduled_task under a different key, then retries the original creation key. The title becomes the original title again. This uses the real ScheduledTaskChecks.withOutcomeChecks production decorator, real native services and SQLite; no provider or command adapter is invoked. Retained artifact /tmp/chromeria-382-scheduler-created-replay-red.log. This is an additional failure, not a relabeling of prior successful manual-run proof.

Actual path: OrchestratorMcpService.scheduleTask supplies a stable commandId; ScheduledTaskChecks.schedule supplies the same stable explicit ID for checked/command tasks; ScheduledTaskService.upsert rereads an existing row and still calls its mutable saveTask. Its comment promises retained run history, not immutable creation acceptance. updateScheduledTask and deleteScheduledTask likewise reach mutable native SQL without a consuming command receipt. The new #382 manual-run receipt and incarnation boundary do not cover these CRUD calls. Separately, the finite source audit found direct IssueLinks.link/unlink SQL and the pull-request link helper's early no-op branches; these must be classified honestly rather than assumed recoverable merely because they are app-owned.

The response question is concrete: OrchestratorMcpScheduleTaskResult is the full task projection, including prompt and possibly webhook URL. Copying that projection into a generic request receipt would repeat the privacy problem just resolved for preferences. Returning a fresh projection as though it were a historical receipt would also be misleading. A schedule with signature.secretRef additionally consumes the existing one-use secret owner before native acceptance; wrapping the entire call in a SQLite transaction does not make that outside owner atomic. No #385 secret implementation is proposed.

Recommended bounded seam: keep the existing scheduler/checks mutation and lock owners, bind verified request identity plus exact schedule incarnation/resource before effects, and record only a bounded native acceptance binding at their actual commit point. For negotiated keyed create/update/delete, reuse the approved confirmed-operation family with the actual scheduledTaskId and original request identity; use the existing list/read owner for current task projection, cadence and webhook URL. Preserve unkeyed local results and behavior. Native acceptance should reconcile its exact owner; genuine unresolved secret/filesystem/external substeps stay unknown and never reexecute. This is a request for the minimal typed result/owner decision, not permission for another orchestrator, universal journal, response cache or secret changes.

Independent work completed meanwhile: registered bounded preference replay/privacy; real named-project native receipt and ambiguous-folder retention; manual-run production decorator red/green; source/destination media byte transfer and native claim recovery; bounded owned recording references; native worktree accepted binding and unresolved follow-up retention; and pending-file removal after committed remote acceptance. These remain focused proof, not final acceptance. The server type check passed after a test helper explicitly derived its return error/services from the real CLI; exact base alone also passed. New final candidate checks, docs/inventory and both parent-dispatched exact-head reviews remain outstanding.

Requirements and who asked: Frozen #379/#382 require stable identity, native owner reconciliation, preservation of later independent work and private receipt contents; parent owns the unresolved shared typed interface.
Deleted: Treating a stable task ID as complete deduplication, blind SQL upsert replay, private prompt/webhook response caching and assumed SQL atomicity across one-use secret consumption.
Bottleneck: The existing scheduler CRUD owner's bounded acceptance/result seam after a proved registered counterexample.
Checked myself: Actual registered create/edit/replay against production decorator and SQLite; current native upsert/CRUD and secret-ref call sites; no fix or parent decision for this additional case is claimed.

What: Approve negotiated keyed scheduler mutation results as bounded confirmed-operation receipts with scheduledTaskId, backed by acceptance recorded at the existing scheduler SQL owner.
Why: Registered replay6244051768 proves stable row IDs alone still allow an old create to overwrite a later edit, and full task results contain private prompt/webhook data.
So what: Repair keyed create/update/delete at their native owners, preserve current list/read and unkeyed behavior, and leave remote secret reservation to #385.

Parent read the full counterexample record and inspected current native upsert/save/delete, OrchestratorMcpService schedule/list/update paths, result schema and SecretRequests.consume. Continue SAME sole codex/gpt-6.1-sol/MEDIUM job. No new writer/topology/design scope.

    DECISION:

    • YES to the established negotiated typed confirmed-operation family plus exact original scheduledTaskId and verified request identity/stage for keyed schedule_task/update_scheduled_task/delete_scheduled_task. Confirmed means original mutation acceptance, not that the schedule still exists, is unchanged or has executed. Current projection, cadence, next run and any webhook URL come from existing authorized list/read owner. Discovery/instructions must make that follow-up clear so callers can still report cadence and next-run time. No private prompt/URL/secret/raw private input in generic receipt rows, diagnostics or result cache; bind semantic conflicts by digest. Unkeyed local/client legacy result/behavior stays equivalent and old-peer negotiation remains safe.
    • Keep native scheduler/checks owners. For each keyed mutation record minimal exact acceptance/incarnation/resource binding and sanitized result at its actual existing SQL mutation commit, including the production outcome-check decorator's relevant state. Reuse your component's receipt machinery where it can share that transaction; do not build another scheduler/orchestrator or universal journal. A first create is one acceptance, not a repeatable mutable upsert. A retry reads/reconciles the exact original acceptance, never calls ordinary upsert again, regenerates credentials, reenables work, restores deleted rows or overwrites later edits.
    • Retain enough original acceptance history after delete/recreate to distinguish incarnations. Historical create/update/delete replay cannot modify a newer incarnation under the same visible ID, remove a later link, or claim that a replaced resource is current. Same-key changed semantic intent conflicts. Derive intent binding from the original caller's canonical requested operation, not newly defaulted values from today's mutable schedule. Freeze required accepted target/incarnation internally at the owning boundary; current grant/generation/mode/capability/resource checks remain required for access/replay. Missing current row must not lead to a bypass or fabricated permission.
    • One-use secret boundary is acknowledged: SQLite does not make SecretRequests.consume atomic. feat(peer): transfer attachments and make remote retries preserve operation identity #382 must persist its verified started/ownership stage BEFORE that external consumption, never blindly retry consumption or mint a replacement secret/request after uncertainty, and reconcile actual native committed schedule receipt first. After a native committed acceptance, replay returns its bounded receipt without consuming again. If consume happened but native acceptance is unproved, return honest outcome_unknown/no reexecute/no false success. • The discovered IssueLinks direct SQL and PR link early no-op branches belong in the catalog's actual effect classification. Where the app owns the SQL mutation, prefer the same minimal same-transaction sanitized acceptance rather than labeling ordinary owned SQL inherently unknown. Run actual preflight and receipt handling before replay/no-op branches so a historical unlink/link retry cannot undo later independent intent. No blanket success from current state equality. If a specific helper crosses an unreconcilable external boundary, retain its exact unknown stage and do not retry it. This is within feat(peer): transfer attachments and make remote retries preserve operation identity #382 registered owner/receipt assignment, no unrelated link product redesign.

    PROOF:
Retain original registered scheduler-replay red. At registered production decorator + native SQLite owner prove create -> separate-key update -> original create replay preserves update; update1 -> update2 -> replay1 preserves2; delete/recreate with same visible ID -> historical create/update/delete replay does not resurrect/modify/delete replacement. What: Both new independent whole-component R6 reviews are running on #382 PR #410 exact 73bbebb04eb912eab9fac3c22efa3ed19ba8df40.
Why: S7 changes keyed discard to native invalidation with retained bytes, so no prior approval or physical-deletion observation transfers.
So what: Parent aggregates both fresh verdicts, current CI and affected actual local/linked runtime acceptance before integration.

What: Current 73bbebb local and linked discard calls preserve native acceptance and retained bytes immediately and after BOTH full servers restart.
Why: Keyed discard confirms invalidation at the native staging owner and no longer deletes a path using a stale byte snapshot.
So what: Parent awaits BOTH exact R6 reviews and current CI before internal integration; final #379 acceptance and delivery remain outstanding.

Exact HEAD73bbebb04eb912eab9fac3c22efa3ed19ba8df40/tree72ab49b65780a8cc24fbb2e6487e06d836255237/basec842. Same host two environments, not physical cross-machine/mobile/all-provider proof.

Corrected submission produced only A25, not another discard retry.

Both R6 required whole-component review tasks remain running per #382 (comment); no review success transferred. Current CI completion acceptance pending. Historical init403/404/discovery/timing causes remainUNKNOWN; current runtime positives do not explain them. FourHTMLcases, positive remote preview unavailable under existing false grant, physical different-machine/client/mobile/media/provider coverage and #385 secret reservation prerequisite remain distinct. What: Parent accepts Sol R6-S8: a completed recording-stop replay can overwrite later independent recording bytes after a duplicate valid upload POST.
Why: The renderer receipt deduplicates the adapter action, but preview handler repeats an unconditional pending-to-final rename after that receipt.
So what: Same sole #382 author repairs the existing recording claim/reference owner; Grok R6 continues on immutable73bbebb and integration stays blocked.

Full unchanged report #410 (comment), local /tmp/review382-r6-sol-findings.md. Parent read complete report, exact handlers145-205/270-330 and Broker485-530, actual controls patch/log. Two intended byte-preservation reproductions succeed through upload/stop/native send/independent edit/duplicatePOST/public replay then fail finalbytes. Strengthened controlled probe confirms renderer stops=1 and destination completed requestrows unchanged. Intermediate b.services SqlClient missing-service attempt is SETUP failure, not third reproduction; retained separately. Sol independently302unchanged focusedcases pass, S7cleared, no vote can erase newS8.

Smallest same-owner repair must reconcile already accepted recording claim/reference BEFORE repeating destructive filesystem effects; preserve current authenticated original actor/contributors/actualtarget/generation/preview capability and exact native resource/reference binding. Renderer replay alone is insufficient. Do not return a guessed finalPath on mere existence/size, overwrite a current path on historical request, invent broader legacy provenance or use another unchecked read followed by replacement. Trace local and linked/keyed/unkeyed consumers, overlap/same and rival requests, durable response-to-claim interruption and service reconstruction. Prefer the existing native accepted reference/intake owner and exact identity; if final acceptance cannot be proved, safely retain/refuse uncertainty without repeating destructive effects. No new generic journal/authority owner/resultcache/sweeper/namespace or frozen design reopening. This is an in-scope routine owner repair, not a new product decision.

Reproduce original controlled registered probe unchanged before production edits and retain both original reviewer artifacts. Prove first accepted recording still usable as attachment, completed exact replay after duplicate validPOST preserves later edited bytes and same original reference/result without another renderer/claim; changedintent/wrongcaller/currentrevocation/relink denials; concurrency and native pending/accepted reconstruction as relevant. Preserve all prior #382 native receipts/bytes/privacy/catalog, S1-S7/F1/F2 and #380/#381 authority/lifecycle controls, scoped checks/currentCI. Both NEW exact whole-component MEDIUM reviews required after complete repair/allcurrent reports, no past approval transfers.

Grok R6 still pending immutable73bbebb own reviewcheckout. Parent will deliver WHOLE report when complete; author next canonicalhandoff MUST contain BOTH whole unchanged R6 reports, parent decisions/full authorresponses and all mandatory full earlier appendices. No reviewer followup turn. Parent current actual73bbebb retention/restart acceptance #382 (comment) remains valid bounded discard proof, not recording proof. CI39101907497pass doesnotnegate S8. Original403/404/discovery/timing UNKNOWN/fourHTMLgaps/#385secretprerequisite/costgaps unchanged.

Parent verified0active runs bothisolatedhomes then stoppedONLYown84759/24681 sessions exit130 before author source changes. No author parenthome/client/browser/provider/device/otherworktree writes. All resources retained; no merge/edgeclear/close/build/ship. Aggregate review/independentFAILURE exact73bbebb links full Sol report.

Requirements and who asked: Frozen379/382 native full-effect retries must preserve later independent owned bytes; Sol reproduced a reachable recording claim violation.
Deleted: Renderer-only deduplication as full-effect proof, unprotected historical rename, guessed file acceptance, new journals/owners and old approval transfer.
Bottleneck: Exact durable recording claim/reference reconciliation at its actual filesystem/native owner.
Checked myself: Full reviewer report, actual owner source and two intended red controls/fileoracles, setupfailure distinction, exact current identity/CI/prooflimits and own0active process stops.

What: S8's original controlled recording overwrite is reproduced before production edits, and the same registered byte-preservation case now passes through native claim reconciliation.
Why: Renderer acceptance did not protect the later rename; the existing staging owner now reconciles its accepted digest/manifest/owner/generation before file effects and reserves an exclusive first publication.
So what: The same sole author is completing current finite checks and one stable candidate for parent BOTH new whole-component reviews and actual affected acceptance.

Same codex/gpt-6.1-sol/MEDIUM, same exclusive #382 workspace/branch, HEAD73bbebb/basec842 while these seven owned paths are in progress. Both WHOLE R6 reports and parent adjudication6246415113 are retained unchanged. Sol REQUEST_CHANGES/S8 remains accepted; Grok APPROVE does not transfer or negate its untested duplicate-upload interleaving. No reviewer followup/delegation or additional writer.

Original controlled probe applied unchanged from /tmp/review382-r6-sol-recording-probe-controls.patch before production edits. /tmp/chromeria-382-r6-recording-original-red.log fails at final byte equality after original signed upload, accepted native stop/send, later actual file edit, valid duplicate upload POST, public replay, one renderer stop and unchanged completed request rows. Original reviewer two actual reds and intervening missing-SqlClient SETUP failure remain separately attributed. The same registered controls pass after repair (...recording-controlled-green.log). The tracked regression keeps the controls without its temporary console print.

Owner shape: AttachmentStaging.claimRecording uses the existing native staging table and fields, no new journal/service/authority or request namespace. Original verified owner/generation/manifest plus accepted digest/expectedDigest reconcile an existing reference without any recording-file read/write. New publication reserves that exact upload in SQL before an exclusive wx copy from captured bytes, then records acceptance at the same native owner. An already staged one-use source is conditionally reserved in that same transaction; another native consumer cannot also win it. No rename, overwrite, guessed existence/size acceptance or automatic cleanup. A crash after reservation/before native confirmation remains bounded outcome_unknown with native_binding_accepted, no reexecution or cleanup. Completed native acceptance survives reply loss/reconstruction; private renderer/page content is not added to rows. Pending source bytes are retained.

claimPreviewRecording calls that owner when available; negotiated calls without it refuse before renderer dispatch. Minimal unkeyed compositions retain a first exclusive local publication but cannot invent historical acceptance from file existence; uncertain repeat safely refuses. Discovery describes accepted replay versus unconfirmed publication. A recording stop no longer asks a fresh renderer status merely for an optional website icon, keeping the original recording evidence replay independent of a fresh host. Ordinary unkeyed stops still deliberately reach the renderer; their native file claim does not overwrite an already accepted artifact.

The expanded denial test initially asserted one total renderer call even after a DIFFERENT authenticated caller used the same raw key. That caller has an independent stable namespace under S1 and is allowed by this existing created-work grant to request its own stop; the native file owner correctly refuses the original caller's artifact. Source checkTarget/current grant inspection and the per-step counter establish this distinction. Logs ...owner-authority-green.log, ...current-claim-green.log, ...denial-stage.log, ...target-before-dispatch.log retain that failed overconstraint, not a claim that original actor replay redispatched. The regression now requires one renderer call for all original-actor replays, separately observes the rival's one authorized action plus protected-reference refusal, and requires no additional calls for out-of-scope target, changed intent, revoked capability, unlink and replacement generation. The same existing preview target check is factored and runs before recording dispatch as well as before claim acceptance; no broader grant or cached authority is introduced.

Targeted current proof passes: original registered recording bytes/control case, expanded linked authority/reconstruction case, registered local keyed replay and deliberate unkeyed stop behavior, native before-write/after-write/after-acceptance interruption/reconstruction and unproved existing-path refusal, plus native helper overlap. Final cumulative finite matrix/types/lint/knip/fork are still pending and not claimed passed here.

Interrupted checkpoint is retained verbatim as reported by parent: “task_status reports ordinal8 FAILED with provider content flag, not a completed handoff.” The parent's continuation says HEAD73bbebb with seven owned dirty paths and retained current-claim-green/recording-controlled-green/current-types logs. That state was verified and preserved on resume. No raw provider failure payload was supplied in that notice, and no provider cause or bypass is inferred. Harness/model/effort, access and route remain unchanged; no alternate route, new account, installation, external access, product server/browser/device/provider prompt, parent home or other-worktree write was used.

Requirements and who asked: Frozen379/382 and parent6246415113 require native full-effect replay, exact reference ownership/current authority and preservation of later independent recording bytes.
Deleted: Repeated pending-to-final rename, existence/size-only historical success, unchecked path replacement, new journals/owners/sweepers, fresh status dependency for recording evidence and approval transfer.
Bottleneck: Complete current native/registered preservation proof and exact candidate handoff with BOTH WHOLE R6 reports plus all prior full appendices.
Checked myself: Actual checkpoint/Git/model selection, original controlled registered red and unchanged native/renderer controls, actual staging/handler/HTTP/legacy consumers, passing focused owner/authority/local cases and preserved failure evidence.

What: Candidate 588399aeedebb911d3887746cfd10c8adfc6e9e0 reconciles native recording acceptance before file effects and preserves later recording edits across duplicate uploads and exact stop replay.
Why: S8 reproduced a completed renderer receipt followed by a second unprotected pending-to-final rename; adapter deduplication did not cover native file acceptance.
So what: The parent owns BOTH new whole-component MEDIUM reviews, current CI and affected actual runtime acceptance before internal integration.

    Identity, ownership and delivery

Sole author remains actual persisted codex/gpt-6.1-sol/reasoningEffort=medium; catalog supports medium and its low default was not substituted. No delegation, fallback or review dispatch.

Implementation/proof/commit/push/internal PR update complete; version unchanged by explicit component instruction. No review success, approval, merge, integration, blocker clearance, Issue close, release/build/ship or activation claimed. Parent remains topology/current-main alignment, both-review aggregation, CI, real client/runtime/provider/device/machine and final acceptance/delivery owner.

Single exact-head CI observation: CI39104431526, Fork39104431530 and fingerprint39104431521 were in_progress. Parent owns completion/CI acceptance; no older CI transfer. Full captured run states remain /tmp/chromeria-382-r6-current-ci.json.

Separate author response to BOTH unchanged R6 reviews

ACCEPT Sol R6-S8 under parent #382 (comment). The original controlled registered patch was applied unchanged before production edits and failed at its final byte-preservation assertion. Its successful setup independently established the first signed HTTP upload, accepted stop/reference, native attachment send, independent later edit/readback, duplicate valid POST204, exact public replay, one renderer stop and unchanged completed destination request rows. The actual recording bytes reverted to the original upload. This reproduces the native file effect after renderer acceptance, not a hypothetical authority bypass.

Grok R6 APPROVE remains historical on73bbebb. Its99cases did not execute that targeted duplicate-upload interleaving; no vote or approval transfers. Both WHOLE unchanged reports, full parent adjudication/completion and prior/current author responses are retained below. The original reviewer's intervening missing-SqlClient attempt stays SETUP failure, not a third S8 reproduction.

The full owner decision and earlier author response are appended unchanged below. The final implementation uses the existing staging table/fields, owner/generation/manifest/digest acceptance, native one-use reservation and exclusive wx copy. Accepted replay precedes every file effect; unconfirmed native binding stays unknown without rewrite or cleanup. Minimal unkeyed compositions refuse unproved repeats; ordinary local/keyed/unkeyed/linked shapes are covered. No new table, journal, authority owner or caller namespace. A separate caller has an independent request and may execute under its existing grant, but cannot acquire the original artifact. This is distinct from original-actor replay, which reaches no new renderer/file operation.

    Finite path/effect map

Eight existing paths changed since73bbebb; cumulative component74paths. No competing writer or new service:

    Path Actual owner/effect
apps/server/src/assets/AttachmentStaging.ts Existing native SQL acceptance/reference/one-use owner; claim reconciliation, reserved first publication, exclusive captured-byte copy and truthful unresolved native stage.
apps/server/src/assets/AttachmentStaging.test.ts Real disk SQLite/staging/upload/filesystem, before-write/after-write/after-acceptance interruption, reconstruction/renewal, later bytes, original SQL equality, unknown/no rewrite and unproved path refusal. Earlier16staging cases retained.
apps/server/src/mcp/toolkits/preview/handlers.ts Existing result/claim adapter, same preview target check before dispatch, no status-only renderer dependency, minimal legacy safe refusal and durable-owner call.
apps/server/src/mcp/toolkits/preview/handlers.test.ts Real native owner overlap/repeat/wrong thread/path and minimal legacy first publication/repeat refusal; pending retention rather than old rename removal.
apps/server/src/mcp/toolkits/preview/tools.ts Actual discovery states accepted evidence versus unconfirmed durable publication. Wire shape unchanged.
apps/server/src/peer/PeerAuthority.workflow.test.ts Retained original controlled S8 case, current linked ownership/authority/reconstruction/counters and registered local keyed/unkeyed preservation.
scripts/fork-upstream-edits.txt Declare the newly changed existing preview handler test.
docs/fork-features.md Assign that carried test to the existing feature owner. Initial missing-owner inventory failure was corrected, not waived.

Tracked plans/probes/traces/media were not added. Map/feature ownership remains the existing #379/#382 part already updated in this PR,42features; no new part or concept. Direct callers and local/linked/keyed/unkeyed paths were traced through the same preview helper, broker adapter receipt and native reference/intake owner. Ordinary direct browser/WS recording ownership remains unchanged. No #383 executor, #384 autonomy or #385 secret scope added.

    Executed proof and retained failures

Original controlled red source/patch and reviewer logs remain untouched:

    • Author unchanged red /tmp/chromeria-382-r6-recording-original-red.log:1 intended failure/82skipped after all byte/renderer/native controls.
    • Author same controlled green /tmp/chromeria-382-r6-recording-controlled-green.log:1pass/82skipped after owner repair. Current tracked test retains the controls and adds authority/reconstruction/zero-renderer replay assertions, removing only its transient console output.

The only post-matrix code-text change qualifies discovery's unknown outcome as DURABLE publication; final formatting covers it. No runtime, schema, test oracle or authority behavior changed after that matrix. The four new disk-backed claim cases plus seven existing preview-helper cases and one local registered case explain the increase from302to314. No duplicate test counting. Full source/consumer self-review covers cumulative namespace/authority/transport/intake/receipt/catalog/privacy and unchanged #380/#381 controls. Current workflow retains S1-S7/F1/F2/G1-G3, native target/contributor/mode/generation, original lifecycle/Stop and production-composition assertions.

Upstream-first before repair: bounded current open recording PR and Issue searches, local upstream/main relevant history, then live main handler source. Main still uses the same unconditional recording rename and NotFound/size fallback, without this native acceptance owner. Open 16941 was read in full: it changes queued host deadlines, explicitly exempts recordingStop, and does not address claim/reference replay. No matching port found or adopted. Results/source remain /tmp/chromeria-382-r6-upstream-*; this does not claim exhaustive upstream defect absence.

Limits, failure continuation and next authority

Native acceptance is distinct from physical publication uncertainty. A reserved/unconfirmed recording may leave no file or a partial/complete owned file; current code refuses to replay a write, infer acceptance by equality or clean it up. These are actual filesystem-boundary interruption tests with disk SQLite and reconstructed services, not OS-process-kill/old-binary deployment proof. A bounded fixture recording and signed upload prove transfer/ownership, not actual video playback or a real browser encoder. Original native send copied the recording before the independent edit; that delivered copy is not claimed overwritten by S8.

Interrupted checkpoint failure is preserved verbatim as parent reported: “task_status reports ordinal8 FAILED with provider content flag, not a completed handoff.” Full parent resume text follows unchanged. On resume the exact HEAD73bbebb/seven owned dirty paths/logs were verified and retained; only the required inventory correction added an eighth path. No raw provider error payload was supplied by that notice, so no hidden cause/text is invented. Same harness/model/effort/permissions/route continued ordinary authorized source/proof work. No provider restriction bypass, alternate model/harness/account/route, delegates or access changes.

The parent actual73bbebb discard retention/immediate/restart proof remains bounded to73bbebb and discard, not current recording acceptance. Its WHOLE record follows. Older parent actual F1/F2/PNG/manual/provider/deletion proofs retain their exact earlier candidates. No current product/client/browser/provider/device/physical machine proof is inferred. No parent home/client/fixture/browser/device/provider/liveuserdata/other-worktree access or writes occurred. No product servers or installation. Only finite isolated registered HTTP/auth/control/native SQL/filesystem tests ran; external renderer/provider/host leaves remain deterministic. All finite check processes completed, and evidence/resources remain retained for parent acceptance.

Original initialization403/404, discovery/native404, interrupted test selections and #409 timing observations keep their FAILED/INCONCLUSIVE/UNKNOWN labels. Current84pass and current CI do not assign retrospective causes. Four browser-dependent HTML cases remain unverified. #385 secret reserve/consume/native-receipt crash prerequisite remains unsolved; no repeat consume after unknown is not that contract. #369/#383/#384/#385 and whole #379 are not accepted here. Cost/pricing and Observer coverage gaps remain UNKNOWN, never zero; no manual rates/attribution or concurrent unsupported publish. Website/SEO impact none.

Parent alone dispatches BOTH NEW independent whole-component reviews on this exact base/head: codex/gpt-6.1-sol/MEDIUM and installed grok/grok-4.7/MEDIUM, with original brief, all findings/responses and current limits. Parent owns review/status aggregation, current CI, actual affected acceptance, integration and delivery. No historical approval transfers and no current approval/status was authored.

    Mandatory complete historical appendices

Read each entire body recursively, not just this summary. Preserve all original attribution, whole reviews, full parent decisions/author responses, unknown observations and original brief:

Both WHOLE unchanged R6 reports, whole parent adjudication/completion/resume, earlier full author response and scoped actual discard record are appended below. This core is the separate final author response.

Requirements and who asked: Frozen379/382 and parent6246415113 require exact native recording acceptance, current authority/privacy and preservation of later independent owned bytes.
Deleted: Unprotected recording rename, file-existence/size-only success, repeated unconfirmed publication/cleanup, new journals/owners/sweepers, fresh status-only renderer dependency and approval transfer.
Bottleneck: Parent BOTH new exact whole-component MEDIUM reviews, current CI and actual affected runtime acceptance before integration.
Checked myself: Exact checkpoint/Git/app/model/catalog/PR/base, original controlled red/native/renderer/file oracles, both whole R6 reports and full parent responses, current314distinct focused cases, types/lint/format/knip/fork and clean pushed candidate; provider failure and all historical unknowns retained.

    WHOLE UNCHANGED SOL R6 REPORT

What: Sol MEDIUM R6 verdict is REQUEST_CHANGES on exact 73bbebb04eb912eab9fac3c22efa3ed19ba8df40 against c8423b4a9706c18f83efdd27db0d3c7c2571e2a8, with one reproduced P2 recording-replay finding.
Why: Keyed discard now safely retains bytes, but a completed recording-stop retry can repeat its file claim and overwrite a later independent edit after a duplicate upload POST.
So what: Parent adjudicates this report with the other new whole-component review and owns current CI, actual acceptance, aggregation and delivery; this comment sets no aggregate review status.

Reviewer Color: Codex harness / codex / gpt-6.1-sol / reasoningEffort=medium. Verified the persisted t3_thread_configuration at start and finish, live catalog support, and actual app worktree binding. The catalog's low default was not substituted. No fallback or delegation.

R6-S8, P2: completed recording-stop replay must not repeat a destructive file claim

Primary location: preview handlers:313-320. The repeated claim reaches claimPreviewRecording:181-190; PreviewAutomationBroker:512-518 replays only the adapter result.

A negotiated keyed preview_recording_stop correctly reuses its completed renderer response, but its handler then calls claimPreviewRecording again. When the original pending upload path exists, that helper validates its size and unconditionally renames it over the final recording path. The existing NotFound fallback protects the ordinary replay only while the pending path remains absent. The already accepted final artifact is not protected from replacement by a historical replay.

A delayed duplicate POST to the same still-valid, app-issued recording upload URL legitimately recreates that pending path. No forged identifier, grant change, receipt deletion, direct SQL business mutation, hostile server or new deliberate stop request is required. If the final recording has been independently edited in the meantime, retrying the original completed stop overwrites those later bytes and still returns its original successful reference.

Independent reproduction extends the candidate's existing recording382 registered case:

    1. Use real A/B production-kernel nodes, authenticated peer/control transport and disk SQLite. Perform the existing actual signed HTTP recording upload of ten bytes [26,69,223,163,129,1,66,134,129,1].
    2. Call registered preview_recording_stop with its original environment/context/key. It succeeds, claims the uploaded recording and publishes a bounded owned reference. The existing registered attachment send also succeeds and independently verifies the delivered bytes.
    3. Resolve the returned recording reference's actual final path and independently write ten later bytes [9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1,0]. Read them back and assert equality before replay.
    4. POST the original recording bytes again to the SAME original upload URL. The actual HTTP upload owner returns 204. The URL/token is neither printed nor included in this report.
    5. Retry the exact original public preview_recording_stop input/key, through the helper's normal credential renewal. Actual: success with the same structured result, one total renderer stop, unchanged completed destination request-receipt rows, but the final recording path now contains the original upload bytes. Required: retain the independent later bytes; historical acceptance does not authorize repeating this rename.

The source recording artifact named by the returned reference is overwritten. The separately copied attachment delivered by step 2 is not claimed to be overwritten. The test edits a task-owned recording artifact, just as the accepted S7 contract permits independent edits to an owned file; it does not claim an MCP caller can write arbitrary OS files.

Two executions reached the intended byte-preservation failure after successful upload, stop, native send, later-byte readback, duplicate POST and public replay. The strengthened second execution additionally passed stops === 1 and equality of the real destination completed request rows before reaching that failure. This establishes that deduplicating the renderer does not deduplicate the subsequent file effect.

    PATH=/opt/homebrew/opt/node@24/bin:$PATH ./node_modules/.bin/vp test run apps/server/src/peer/PeerAuthority.workflow.test.ts -t 'recording382:' --reporter=verbose
      initial probe: 1 intended failure, 82 filter-skipped, exit 1, 7.97s
      controlled probe: 1 intended failure, 82 filter-skipped, exit 1, 11.15s

    • /tmp/review382-r6-sol-recording-probe-controls.patch
    • /tmp/review382-r6-sol-recording-probe-controls.log

One intervening strengthened-probe attempt used b.services instead of the fixture's b.database for SqlClient and failed setup with Service not found: effect/sql/SqlClient. It is retained as ...recording-probe-repeat.log and is NOT counted as a product reproduction. The corrected controlled probe uses the real database and fails at the intended final bytes assertion. Production source was never edited. All test edits were restored byte-for-byte.

Reconcile the accepted recording claim/reference at its existing owner before repeating file mutation, or retain/refuse uncertain work when safe ownership cannot be established. Preserve the original verified authority, byte/reference binding and exactly one renderer action. This finding does not require another journal/authority owner, generic sweeper, new public result variant or speculative device executor. Merely replaying the renderer response, checking file size or checking that a destination exists does not prove that replacing its current bytes is safe.

S7 repair and S6 acceptance assessment

The current keyed-discard owner repairs the stale-read deletion mechanism in the inspected and executed scope. The winning owner/generation/consumer-NULL SQL transition stores the exact verified request id/generation/input digest with consumer='discarded' and cleanup retained. Exact old pending and started acceptances remain replayable without rewriting their provenance. NULL, missing or unproved history does not acquire keyed acceptance. Both fresh calls and those historical replays perform no filesystem read or removal.

Read the original R5 disk-backed recovery probe and the retained actual exists:false/native-receipt witnesses from both reviewer runs and the author's original disk reds. The old probe's requirement that cleanup reach a filesystem read and persist pending describes the removed implementation, so an unchanged run is not a valid green oracle for the retention contract. Current disk tests instead preserve the externally meaningful file/receipt invariants and retain an actual after-read writer at the external filesystem leaf, which would expose a reintroduced destructive path. They check fresh, pending, started and already-removed history, real commit then lost acknowledgement, renewed credentials and reconstructed request/staging owners, retained original/later/replaced bytes, zero cleanup reads/removals and unchanged exact acceptance. Those cases passed independently here.

The old-stage fixtures change only the cleanup stage of a real verified native acceptance. They do not invent owner/generation/digest evidence. They demonstrate state compatibility, not old-binary deployment or an OS process crash. The ordinary no-key handler still invokes its existing separate best-effort deletion path. Keyed discovery explicitly describes invalidation and retention; {} confirms native acceptance, not erasure. No new sweeper or claim that existing maintenance removed these files is needed or established.

The independently passing registered reserve-winner, discard-winner and remote committed-reply-loss/reconstruction/renewal cases preserve the native winner CAS, rival-send refusal, exact original receipt and current caller/generation/session denials while asserting retained bytes. R6-S8 is a separate cumulative media-consumer defect, not evidence that this discard repair still unlinks files.

    Cumulative scope and earlier findings

This is a whole-component review across the cumulative 73-path component, not a review limited to the four S7 paths or an alternative vote. Inspected the request namespace/generation and legacy matching owners, registration-derived effect catalog, forwarding/protocol and generation binding, actual byte upload/staging/whole-manifest reservation/native intake, downstream command/delegation/Spectrum identity consumers, native project/worktree acceptance, scheduler SQL/check/incarnation/history/manual boundaries, Issue SQL/PR native-command paths, preferences privacy, PNG/HTML/recording and device/preview effect boundaries, production composition, contracts and documentation/inventory.

The original review brief, ownership and component handoff, full R1-R4 packets, both unchanged R5 reports and parent/author responses in the current handoff were considered alongside the unchanged current #379 body, frozen-v5 approval, current #382/PR bodies and #380 final audit/adjudication/acceptance plus #381 handoff/review/actual-acceptance/integration records. Prior verdicts retain their original candidates and attribution. No approval transfers. The explicit-resource grant and cooperative-server design decisions are not reopened.

    Current preservation assessment:

Earlier mechanism Current assessment in inspected/executed scope
S1 modern callers sharing a raw key Independent namespaces succeed; unverifiable legacy operations still refuse.
S2 old metadata IDs All four old action shapes stay target-scoped and cannot overwrite later metadata as fresh work.
S3 distinct scheduler field edits The two-real-snapshot barrier passes; the locked native owner merges the requested delta.
F1 reverse validation inside SQL Live validation remains outside SQL; local binding/incarnation fences remain at acceptance.
G1 pure refusal versus effect uncertainty Native pure preflight precedes started; real host preparation stays protected; preview nondelivery resets only the exact winning owner attempt.
G2 reservation/discard race Both deterministic registered winner orders pass; losing discard cannot delete reserved bytes.
G3 historical scheduler access Original native evidence plus current original-contributor/generation/mode/resource checks protect historical confirmations after deletion/replacement.
S4 manual replacement Both pre-fence and post-live-check replacement windows deny with zero manual admissions/native commands.
S5 and F2 PNG Renderer-free local/remote replay retains current A/B authority, exact artifact checks and the specific native preview-capability diagnosis.
S6/S7 discard Exact native acceptance remains known while keyed bytes are retained; no physical-erasure promise.

The workflow also retains the #380 contributor/actual-target/effective-mode and #381 lifecycle/Stop/production-composition controls. These scoped positives do not negate the independently reproduced recording overwrite.

These are 302 distinct unchanged cases across 18 files, not a repository-wide gate. Current CI assessment belongs to the parent; I did not wait on or rerun CI.

    Limits and parent handoff

No product server, browser, device/simulator, provider process/prompt, parent fixture-home or live userdata access/write, access grant, installation, additional delegation, authored repair, aggregate status, GitHub approval review, merge, edge clearance, Issue closure, version bump or shipment. The finite registered tests use real isolated loopback HTTP/auth/control, native SQLite/file/command owners and deterministic external renderer/provider/host/transport leaves. A fixture renderer response is not actual browser/video playback proof. All launched finite checks completed; local evidence and review dependency links remain retained.

The original initialization403/404, discovery/native404, interrupted selections and #409 timing observations remain FAILED/INCONCLUSIVE/UNKNOWN on their recorded heads. These new passes establish no retrospective cause. Four browser-dependent HTML cases remain unverified. #385's one-use secret reserve/consume/native-receipt crash prerequisite remains unsolved; started-before-consume and zero repeats after uncertainty are not that contract. #369/#383/#384/#385 and whole #379 are not accepted here. Cost/pricing and Observer coverage gaps remain UNKNOWN; website runtime/SEO impact none.

The parent's actual 1e2f completed-deletion/immediate/restart record stays scoped to that head and those absent files. It is not a current erasure guarantee. Current actual keyed retention/restart/client acceptance is parent-owned and is not inferred from this review's registered tests. No positive remote preview permission or physical different-machine/device/media/provider acceptance is inferred.

Parent owns BOTH-review aggregation, current CI, actual acceptance, integration and delivery. This report supplies only this reviewer's REQUEST_CHANGES on the exact head/base above.

Requirements and who asked: Parent requires a fresh independent whole-component Sol MEDIUM review under frozen #379/#382, preserving native acceptance, current authority/privacy and later independent bytes.
Deleted: Approval transfer, four-path-only review, additional delegation, authored fixes, broad local gates, new journals/owners/sweepers, physical-erasure claims and invented failure causes.
Bottleneck: Recording retry reuses the adapter receipt but repeats an unprotected destructive file claim after native artifact acceptance.
Checked myself: Exact app/Git/base/head/tree/Color/catalog/live PR/refs, cumulative owner boundaries, 302 unchanged focused passes, original S7 row/file witnesses and current retention oracles, two recording overwrite reproductions including native-receipt/renderer controls, exact source restoration and fork/whitespace checks.

    WHOLE UNCHANGED GROK R6 REPORT

What: Grok MEDIUM R6 approves exact candidate 73bbebb04eb912eab9fac3c22efa3ed19ba8df40 against base c8423b4a9706c18f83efdd27db0d3c7c2571e2a8.
Why: Keyed discard now records the verified request receipt with cleanup retained and performs no filesystem read or unlink, so the accepted S7 stale-read deletion cannot run on a fresh call or on historical pending/started replay.
So what: The parent aggregates both new reviews and owns CI, integration, and actual runtime acceptance. This comment does not set review success, merge, or close the Issue.

Requirements and who asked: The user and parent asked for an independent grok/grok-4.7/medium whole-component review of #382 at this exact head, including accepted Sol R5-S7 and the frozen #379/#380/#381 authority contracts.
Deleted: Verdict transfer from the R5 approval of 1e2f6d79, another read-then-unlink, a new journal or sweeper, and treating physical erasure as part of keyed acceptance.
Bottleneck: Whether removing keyed destructive cleanup preserves exact native acceptance without deleting later bytes.
Checked myself: Exact git identity, persisted Color and catalog, the discard CAS and both cleanup consumers, 16 native staging cases and 83 registered workflow cases, fork inventory, and a clean tracked tree.

Reviewer Color: installed Grok harness / grok / grok-4.7 / reasoningEffort=medium. t3_thread_configuration reports that selection. The live catalog lists grok-4.7 with a medium reasoning option. The catalog default for that model is high; this thread's persisted value is medium. No fallback and no further delegation.

    • PR fix(peer): preserve attachment bytes and native request acceptance #410 is OPEN against feat/379-cross-machine-parity. Live headRefOid and baseRefOid match the SHAs above. This comment is a finding comment, not a GitHub review state and not review/independent.

Verdict: APPROVE. No supported blocking finding on this head. The R5 Sol REQUEST_CHANGES and Grok APPROVE of 1e2f6d79ec08f465350631b49d8a2919fd332904 do not transfer. R4 verdicts remain on 4570a6ed. R3 approvals remain on 47ead94d. R1 and R2 REQUEST_CHANGES remain on their older heads.

The cumulative diff from base is 73 paths. git diff 1e2f6d79..HEAD changes four existing paths: AttachmentStaging.ts, AttachmentStaging.test.ts, attachment tools.ts, and PeerAuthority.workflow.test.ts. handlers.ts is unchanged since 1e2f and still skips Upload.deletePendingAttachment when CurrentRequest is present.

S7, cleared: keyed discard does not unlink later bytes

Location: apps/server/src/assets/AttachmentStaging.ts discard, called from apps/server/src/mcp/toolkits/attachment/handlers.ts t3_attachment_discard after current authorization. Discovery is the discard tool description in tools.ts.

Source, read on this head: a keyed discard still refuses a request generation that differs from the current scope, then encodes { id, generation, inputDigest } from the server-verified RequestIdentity. The same UPDATE that requires owner, generation, and consumer IS NULL sets consumer='discarded', discard_receipt to that binding, and discard_cleanup='retained'. A miss re-reads only for a keyed request. Recovery requires the same owner, generation, consumer='discarded', the same receipt string, and cleanup pending, started, or retained. Any other tombstone, including a NULL receipt, is refused. The recovery path does not rewrite the receipt or the cleanup stage. After that SQL acceptance, keyed discard returns without reading or removing a file.

The handler still calls deletePendingAttachment only when staging is absent or CurrentRequest is undefined. A negotiated keyed call therefore does not reach that best-effort unlink. authorizeUpload and complete still refuse consumer='discarded', and reserve still requires consumer IS NULL, so a discarded upload cannot be sent or have its token rewrite the final path. The public result remains {}. The tool description says clientRequestId recovers the original acceptance and invalidates the upload without deleting its pending bytes, and that success does not assert current file absence.

The original S7 window was a digest of an earlier readFile followed by unlink of the current path. That read and unlink are gone from both the fresh keyed call and historical replay. An independent write after a read cannot be deleted by this owner, because this owner no longer reads or unlinks. Exact old pending/started rows still recover the same acceptance without a filesystem effect. NULL or unproved history still denies. No-key discard remains the handler's separate best-effort deletePendingAttachment and is outside the new keyed receipt guarantee.

Executed in this checkout, Node 24.18.0, real staging SQLite and filesystem, and the registered production kernel:

    • Four S7 histories pass: fresh, pending, started, and removed. Each refuses a replacement generation before commit, commits the exact receipt, interrupts only the acknowledgement, reconstructs the staging and request owners, renews the provider session, and replays the same identity. The observed filesystem counts zero reads and zero removals. Fresh and historical bytes stay, including a later replacement [9,8,7,6] and a further replacement [6,7,8,9]. A changed digest, replacement generation, and rival caller fail. The removed fixture, a real unlink of an already accepted row, stays absent and is not recreated.
    • An unkeyed discard followed by a keyed identity fails, and discard_receipt stays null.
    • Concurrent same-key calls both succeed with zero removals and the original bytes. Concurrent rival keys produce one success and one failure, with zero removals and one receipt.
    • Registered G2 reserve-wins still refuses discard, keeps the four original bytes, and accepts the native claim and message. Discard-wins still refuses the rival send, creates no message, keeps the pending bytes, and the reconstructed retry returns the original success. A rival key, a changed attachment id, and another caller fail. Later replaced bytes [9,8,7,6] remain.
    • Registered S6 remote: the destination commit is real, the source peer client drops only the successful reply, and the original bytes remain with cleanup retained. After destination reconstruction the same input returns structuredContent {} and the receipt row is unchanged. A rival thread, a changed attachment id, a revoked destination session, and a relinked replacement generation fail. Later bytes [9,8,7,6] remain.

The byte assertions read the real file after the call. The read observer writes different bytes only if discard actually reads the path, so a reintroduced stale-read unlink fails those oracles. The zero-read counter is additional. It is not the only proof.

Prior findings, still cleared on this head

S1, S2, and S3 remain cleared in the executed workflow: separate callers may reuse a local key, legacy metadata replay preserves the later title, concurrent keyed field edits retain both intents, and each legacy metadata action stays target-scoped.

F1 remains cleared in the executed scope. Live scheduler validation still runs outside SQL, and the local binding fence still refuses a change that arrives after that check. runtime382-F1 passed here. This is admission denial, not a provider process.

G1, G2, and G3 passed in this same 83-case run, including both historical scheduler cases. That G3 pass does not explain the author's earlier full-run native initialization 403 on 1e2f6d79.

S4 is unchanged. runManualNow still captures captureResourceFence, runs recheck, then evaluates that fence inside sql.withTransaction before inserting the manual admission. manual382-S4 and the earlier replacement-window case passed here.

S5 and F2 are unchanged in the inspected source. McpHttpServer.ts still catches only PreviewAutomationUnavailableError around saved-preview authorizeSnapshot and fails with OrchestratorMcpFailure { code: "capability_denied", message: error.message }. The workflow's png382 and png382-authority cases passed. No positive remote preview access is inferred.

S6's exact same-transition acceptance remains. The winning CAS still stores the verified id, generation, and input digest. Replay is receipt equality, not a generic bound row and not a NULL tombstone. The public {} confirms that known native acceptance. It does not claim the file is absent.

This is 99 distinct cases. The staging file is not part of the workflow file. This is not the author's 302-case matrix and not a repository-wide gate. I did not run types, lint, knip, or the full suite.

At one inspection after these tests, CI run 39101907497 reports status=completed, conclusion=success, headSha=73bbebb04eb912eab9fac3c22efa3ed19ba8df40. Fork run 39101907583 also reports success. That observation is not this verdict. I did not wait for or rerun CI.

Dependencies were materialized only in this review checkout with pnpm install --frozen-lockfile --offline --package-import-method=copy --ignore-scripts (downloaded 0). Every vp command used Node v24.18.0 from /opt/homebrew/opt/node@24/bin. Author, planner, and canonical checkouts were not modified. Tracked status stayed clean.

    Limits

Parent owns BOTH-review aggregation, current actual acceptance, integration, and delivery.

    WHOLE UNCHANGED PARENT R6 ADJUDICATION

What: Parent accepts Sol R6-S8: a completed recording-stop replay can overwrite later independent recording bytes after a duplicate valid upload POST.
Why: The renderer receipt deduplicates the adapter action, but preview handler repeats an unconditional pending-to-final rename after that receipt.
So what: Same sole #382 author repairs the existing recording claim/reference owner; Grok R6 continues on immutable73bbebb and integration stays blocked.

Full unchanged report #410 (comment), local /tmp/review382-r6-sol-findings.md. Parent read complete report, exact handlers145-205/270-330 and Broker485-530, actual controls patch/log. Two intended byte-preservation reproductions succeed through upload/stop/native send/independent edit/duplicatePOST/public replay then fail finalbytes. Strengthened controlled probe confirms renderer stops=1 and destination completed requestrows unchanged. Intermediate b.services SqlClient missing-service attempt is SETUP failure, not third reproduction; retained separately. Sol independently302unchanged focusedcases pass, S7cleared, no vote can erase newS8.

Smallest same-owner repair must reconcile already accepted recording claim/reference BEFORE repeating destructive filesystem effects; preserve current authenticated original actor/contributors/actualtarget/generation/preview capability and exact native resource/reference binding. Renderer replay alone is insufficient. Do not return a guessed finalPath on mere existence/size, overwrite a current path on historical request, invent broader legacy provenance or use another unchecked read followed by replacement. Trace local and linked/keyed/unkeyed consumers, overlap/same and rival requests, durable response-to-claim interruption and service reconstruction. Prefer the existing native accepted reference/intake owner and exact identity; if final acceptance cannot be proved, safely retain/refuse uncertainty without repeating destructive effects. No new generic journal/authority owner/resultcache/sweeper/namespace or frozen design reopening. This is an in-scope routine owner repair, not a new product decision.

Reproduce original controlled registered probe unchanged before production edits and retain both original reviewer artifacts. Prove first accepted recording still usable as attachment, completed exact replay after duplicate validPOST preserves later edited bytes and same original reference/result without another renderer/claim; changedintent/wrongcaller/currentrevocation/relink denials; concurrency and native pending/accepted reconstruction as relevant. Preserve all prior #382 native receipts/bytes/privacy/catalog, S1-S7/F1/F2 and #380/#381 authority/lifecycle controls, scoped checks/currentCI. Both NEW exact whole-component MEDIUM reviews required after complete repair/allcurrent reports, no past approval transfers.

Parent will deliver WHOLE report when complete; author next canonicalhandoff MUST contain BOTH whole unchanged R6 reports, parent decisions/full authorresponses and all mandatory full earlier appendices. No reviewer followup turn. Parent current actual73bbebb retention/restart acceptance #382 (comment) remains valid bounded discard proof, not recording proof. CI39101907497pass doesnotnegate S8. Requirements and who asked: Frozen379/382 native full-effect retries must preserve later independent owned bytes; Sol reproduced a reachable recording claim violation.
Deleted: Renderer-only deduplication as full-effect proof, unprotected historical rename, guessed file acceptance, new journals/owners and old approval transfer.
Bottleneck: Exact durable recording claim/reference reconciliation at its actual filesystem/native owner.

WHOLE UNCHANGED PARENT RESUME/PROVIDER FAILURE NOTICE

Resume SAME authorized #382 recording-file replay correctness repair from your checkpoint, SAME codex/gpt-6.1-sol/MEDIUM and exclusive worktree/ownership. task_status reports ordinal8 FAILED with provider content flag, not a completed handoff. Preserve that failure verbatim in next handoff; do not change/evade provider restrictions, access tier, harness/model/effort, or add delegates. Parent observed HEAD73bbebb unchanged with seven owned dirty paths and retained logs current-claim-green/recording-controlled-green/current-types. Do not reset or discard your work. Inspect your actual checkpoint and continue only ordinary in-scope app implementation/proof/commit/push/handoff as previously authorized by parent adjudication6246415113 and full R6 reports. This is preserving owned recording files when a completed operation is retried; no external access, exploitation, credential changes, product servers/browser/device/provider prompts or parent fixtures. Finish appropriate current finite checks and stable exact candidate with BOTH WHOLE R6 reports/all parent+author responses/mandatory historical appendices. No review/merge/integration/edgeclear/ship claim. If provider blocks ordinary continuation again, preserve exact evidence and stop affected action; no alternate route or bypass.

    WHOLE UNCHANGED EARLIER AUTHOR RESPONSE

WHOLE UNCHANGED PARENT ACTUAL73bbebb DISCARD RECORD

What: Current 73bbebb local and linked discard calls preserve native acceptance and retained bytes immediately and after BOTH full servers restart.
Why: Keyed discard confirms invalidation at the native staging owner and no longer deletes a path using a stale byte snapshot.
So what: Parent awaits BOTH exact R6 reviews and current CI before internal integration; final #379 acceptance and delivery remain outstanding.

What: BOTH required independent R7 MEDIUM reviews approve exact588399aeedebb911d3887746cfd10c8adfc6e9e0; current CI and bounded actual recording acceptance pass.

What: PR #558 hit the previously reported Grok fast-wake idle assertion at unchanged head d1703f980eac5dfd81fa473635e084693c2882e8; its focused local replay passes.
Why: Server shard 1 still saw run ordinal 3 running with no pending requests at await_thread_idle; the cause remains unknown.
So what: One failed-job rerun is requested on the same SHA. PR #558 remains draft; no source, assertion, timeout or retry-policy change.

Failed job: OrchestratorV2ScenarioStepError, grok_background_bash_fast_wake/grok, await_thread_idle, ordinal 3 running, requests empty. 823 passed, 1 failed, 9 skipped. Aggregate Check fails solely because test_server failed. This matches the failure signature already recorded at #382 (comment), without establishing a shared cause. #553 does not change replay fixtures, scenario waiting, or provider adapters.

Unchanged local command: node_modules/.bin/vp test run apps/server/src/orchestration-v2/testkit/OrchestratorReplayFixtures.integration.test.ts -t grok_background_bash_fast_wake, exit 0, 1 passed, 146 filtered/skipped, 7.55s. Local log /tmp/553-ci-replay-target.log; CI log /tmp/553-ci-server1.log. This isolated pass does not replace full CI or prove a flake. Main baseline c8b69 CI passed. Transfer impact passes all ceilings with zero measured increase but correctly says source CI failed.

Requirements and who asked: User #553 requires focused proof and an independent different-model review; repository CI supplies complete checks.
Deleted: CI bypass, changes to unrelated replay code, weakened assertions/timeouts, repeated reruns and unsupported flake attribution.
Bottleneck: The unchanged failed-job rerun result.
Checked myself: Exact failed job and aggregate logs, full transfer comment, unchanged local replay result, current clean Git/SHA, main baseline CI, and prior matching #382 report.

What: Draft component PR #563 implements the existing #382 idle-destination HTML repair at 926c9a2efd94e486787ae2dd2d3c164f60b41df0.
Why: B's resource context was incorrectly required to run a provider; protected preparation and source publication also needed fresh original-authority checks after waits.
So what: Sol MEDIUM and Opus 5.5 MEDIUM independent whole-component reviews are running on the frozen exact head; CI and both verdicts must pass before internal integration.

Requirements and who asked: User-approved #379/#382 requires source-owned cross-machine HTML without an unrelated destination agent, retaining current authority and safe retries.
Deleted: New capability/grant/service, B credential borrowing or startup, global caller-liveness relaxation and unrelated #385/#386 implementation.
Bottleneck: Exact-component independent review and CI before internal merge, then remaining outcome acceptance.
Checked myself: Read the full production/test diff and handoff, corrected baseline failure, final test outputs and run exits; verified six code/test hashes unchanged after the source checkpoint and confirmed the exact published PR head/base/draft state. Map-only follow-up replaces merged PR410 with open PR563 and changes no tested source.

Topology: base integration e7a11a84f03f7022a8013aa956d8afec5d250eb3; head 926c9a2efd94e486787ae2dd2d3c164f60b41df0, tree acd2f3237c74cfda26fe2aeb68cc5d6159b1a8d3; branch fix/382-idle-html-resource-context; exclusive worktree /home/luke/.t3/worktrees/chromeria/fix-382-idle-html-resource-context. Source author released ownership after clean local checkpoint f0babcd. Driver owns topology and freezes the branch during both reviews. Authenticated review/independent is pending on the exact head.

Focused proof: 27 authority/HTML/idle-resource/background regressions passed (152 unselected); 96 focused unit tests passed (four browser-dependent skips); server cache-disabled tsc-rs, six-file formatting and targeted lint passed, with existing warnings. Real authenticated/registered services prove B image preparation and A-only publication, provider/liveness/scope/archive/mode/deletion/revocation denials, replay preserving later A edits, held B image reads and held successful B responses followed by A termination. No browser/provider/client was launched. No full CI/live-client/final acceptance claim. Exact commands and limits are in PR563; raw failed and successful proof and content bindings remain retained privately.

Review tasks: 379-563-r1-sol-medium-926c9a2-whole-v1 and 379-563-r1-opus55-medium-926c9a2-whole-v1, both accepted/running. No verdict transfer from main-alignment e7a11. Parent retains all original #379 stop limits; #385, remaining #386 and separately owned #531 remain open, with no whole dependency edge cleared. This is a component PR, not the final main approval PR.

What: Reviewed, CI-green #563 is internally merged as a6ba098, tree be00cc5b511f851a86b69fb08e9cd570555c4eed.
Why: The idle HTML resource-context repair now passes both exact-head whole-component reviews and all current gates after #566 fixed the inherited vault assertion.
So what: The driver continues the remaining #379 acceptance. The existing #531 owner has been sent a same-job continuation against exact a6ba; the driver does not write that branch and no final main merge occurs here.

Requirements and who asked: The user requires current reviewed components, all original remaining acceptance, final exact-candidate independent reviews and green CI before the now-authorized final main merge.
Deleted: No component approval transferred to final outcome, no native blocker cleared wholesale, no #531 source takeover, no rollout/deployment/installed restart/live data operation.
Bottleneck: Separately owned #531 review readiness and remaining #385/#386 acceptance, including current catalog, remote child outputs/onward navigation, actual clients and final cumulative proof.
Checked myself: Fresh #563 live readback: exact abd763a head, d5a52 base, mergeable, all current gates successful and newest review/independent success by authenticated lukemaj. Full current transfer comment names abd763a and stays within all ceilings. Verified GitHub MERGED, 20 October2026 11:31:07 Warsaw; driver fast-forward is clean and its tree exactly equals the reviewed candidate tree.

Component map: main alignment/vault and configuration repairs at e7a11; #566 test-only compatibility now d5a52; #563 idle HTML now a6ba. Earlier #391/#392/#410/#416/#421/#539/#546/#555/#534 remain internally represented. No outcome child closes from these internal merges. Final cumulative PR and review do not yet exist.

#531 fresh readback remains OPEN f1c63b6, conflicting, no review decision. Existing owner found via native project thread list and last completed handoff: Chromeria #369: wake parent on remote child questions, thread mcp:launch:client%3Abe79136a-0132-46b4-804a-600f3672e962:fwd%3A45bdcd06d901552ac11d43863ada99cc7f96864205a1997151385e7d9c6ddfb4. Native same-job continuation accepted and started ordinal6, with explicit driver topology decision authorizing that owner to preserve f1c and rebase onto a6ba, reuse integrated fixes, address outstanding notice/content and React DOM/import-cycle evidence, then return current proof for parent-owned independent review. The driver has not written #531. Explicit owner acknowledgement is pending; no readiness is inferred.

Merged #563/#566 worktrees and bounded private evidence remain temporarily needed for current cumulative acceptance and source/proof traceability, with source writers/reviewers terminal and no product processes inside those two worktrees. Driver owns later retirement after that need ends. Existing isolated actual-product resources remain separately at a519 and are not accepted as current a6ba client proof.

Latest final-main-merge-only conditional authorization: comment6287385562. Actual main remains 68b3177; no #379 merge to main, release, rollout, deploy or installed restart has occurred.

What: Remote launch and send with attachments work on main, but the t3_thread_launch tool text says the opposite, and the misleading path fails with an unclear error.
Why: The description in apps/server/src/mcp/toolkits/project/tools.ts ends "Pass environmentId to launch in a linked environment ... and attachments are not supported". Agents read that and prepare the upload on the destination instead, which PeerForwarding rejects as "The attachment is not ready, belongs to another caller, or is reserved for another command."
So what: Small fix for this Issue's owner: say that attachments must be prepared and uploaded on the source environment and are transferred automatically, and give the destination-prepared case a specific error. Non-blocking.

Evidence (#379 acceptance, isolated A on bestia and B on cavallo, 4f2bed8518): with a source-prepared upload, t3_thread_launch on B with an image attachment succeeded. A retry with the same clientRequestId returned the same threadId. t3_thread_send_attachments to that thread succeeded, and B reported SHA-256 ca96adb5…0157 for both copies, equal to the source. The agent's first two attempts, which prepared the upload on B because of the tool text, failed with the error quoted above.
