A 4th semester Java-based project developed by Team lumineX for CSE 4402: Visual Programming Lab at IUT.
Shohay is a centralized donation platform designed to address the fragmentation and lack of transparency in current donation efforts. It streamlines the process of donating money, goods, and time, offering a unified, auditable system for donors, NGOs, and recipients. The platform aims to increase trust, improve coordination, and empower quicker response in times of need.
Current donation systems face several issues:
- Disconnected channels
- Lack of transparency on fund usage
- Poor volunteer and goods coordination
- Limited public engagement
- Centralize all forms of donation (money, goods, time)
- Offer transparency with real-time tracking and reporting
- Simplify the donation process for users and NGOs
- Support emergency and disaster relief coordination
- Transparent fund and goods tracking
- Recurring donation options
- Volunteer application and tracking
- NGO dashboard with auto-coordination tools
- Disaster-response support
- Real-time analytics and confirmation updates
