By Teo. A shared crypto/US-stock watchlist and charts for Even G2 and your phone. Built on Crypto Ticker by ARNLTony, with the original MIT notice preserved.
Current checks: 0.4.5 verification.
- One shared watchlist for crypto and US stocks, visible together on phone and G2.
- Up to 60 phone tickers and 9 selected for G2. The common glasses picker chooses the exact subset.
- Existing separate lists merge automatically; original saved data is retained. No market/list switching is needed.
- Search the combined catalog of 32 cryptocurrencies and 20 US stocks.
- Public Binance crypto data and a direct Yahoo stock stream: no keys, paid plan, brokerage or price proxy.
- Crypto uses candlesticks at every range: 5m, 15m, 1h, 4h, 12h and longer periods. Long histories are grouped into at most 48 OHLC bars for G2. Stocks use only line charts: the latest trading day (1D) or the five most recent sessions (1W), fetched directly from Fintable's public IEX feed.
- Stock quotes stay USD. Crypto labels use their actual quote asset. Recent last-known stock prices appear immediately as stale when fresh trades have not arrived; source-age markers and reconnect remain enabled.
The 0.3.2 mixed-price correction was accepted on physical G2: the wearer confirmed BTC and AAPL numeric prices are visible and update. The 0.4.0 candle view rendered on G2. In the 0.4.2 retest, the wearer confirmed chart-to-list return. Version 0.4.3 was rejected because its stock line still covered only the current app session. Version 0.4.4 added genuine 1D/1W history; the wearer accepted NVDA's line and dates, range switch and return to the list on G2. Version 0.4.5 reduces chart display writes; the wearer confirmed faster, readable NVDA graphs, BTC candles and working returns on physical G2 in Prototype mode.
Phone: view the combined list, select a ticker for its chart, add/search or edit/reorder/remove tickers. Glasses · N/9 changes the common glasses subset; unselected tickers stay on the phone.
Glasses: scroll the common ticker list, tap for details; tap/scroll in crypto details cycles candle intervals, and in stock details switches between 1D and 1W line history. Double tap returns to the list; double tap at the root opens Even's exit confirmation.
The firmware rebuilds list selection when prices refresh. Updates are deferred while you scroll; the current list implementation can return selection to the first row once you have been idle for 10 seconds. This still needs review on physical G2.
Node.js 22+, npm:
npm ci --ignore-scripts
npm test
npm run lint
npm run build
npm run devDevelopment: http://localhost:5194/. Production preview: npm run preview, port 4194.
The browser preview has real market data; glasses controls require the Even app or simulator.
npm run sim -- --no-glow --automation-port 9894 http://localhost:4194/
npm run packThe package is releases/NEXCORE-Ticker-0.4.5.ehpk.
Package ID remains ai.nexcore.g2.cryptoticker; minimum Even app 2.2.10, SDK 0.0.15.
The repository-local .npmrc uses legacy-peer-deps=true: npm 10.9.8 crashed while
resolving optional Vitest browser peers. Direct dependency versions are pinned and
validated by the test/build commands above. The app does not use those optional browser-test peers.
Binance public market APIs provide prices, available trading pairs and candles. WebSocket streaming uses the documented TLS port 443; when fresh streaming data is unavailable, REST snapshots refresh about every 15 seconds while the app is active. Old responses are isolated by subscription, quote and chart generation so a previous quote cannot overwrite the current one.
The shared list, glasses subset and crypto quote are stored under nexcore.ticker.watchlist.v2. Previous nexcore.ticker.boards.v1 lists are merged once; that original key is retained unchanged. Legacy ticker.watchlist / ticker.quote are also migrated. Empty selections remain empty, and unreadable data is not overwritten.
The last received public stock prices and their source timestamps are cached under nexcore.ticker.lastStocks.v1 for up to four days. They are marked stale when old. This avoids a blank price while waiting for a new stock trade; it does not turn the cached value into a live quote.
Stock charts fetch public 5-minute historical bars from Fintable directly in the phone WebView. The source is IEX only, not the full consolidated market; the API may cache history for up to an hour. The last chart timestamp is shown, while the current price remains on the Yahoo stream. Historical bars are not bundled or sent through an app-specific server. The provider's terms require review before public or commercial distribution; this build is a local beta.
Requests include selected market symbols, quote assets and chart periods. Binance, Yahoo and Fintable receive ordinary network connection information. The app sends no account credentials, wallet balances or trading instructions. There is no analytics or telemetry integration. Feeds pause when the app is inactive; network recovery resumes them while either the phone or G2 is active. No background price alerts are provided.
See 0.4.5 verification. Version 0.4.5 keeps the plot area and moves the four axis labels into the two chart images. The wearer accepted its faster loading and legibility on G2 in Prototype mode; installed-package acceptance remains open.

Historical 0.3.1 browser capture of the shared phone watchlist. The displayed public prices are a snapshot, not current quotes; the 0.4.5 G2 checks are documented here.
US equities use a direct public Yahoo WebSocket; no provider key, paid plan, proxy or running Mac is needed. This is not a contracted exchange-grade feed. Availability and latency can vary; old source timestamps remain visibly stale. See docs/STOCKS_REALTIME.md.
Version 0.3.2 corrected cold-start list-price delivery and retries rejected display updates; see docs/VERIFICATION_0.3.2.md.
