Tree service operator/owner. I also build things with LLMs and I'm learning in public. Built PWAs, websites, and AI systems over the last year by learning through trial and error, prompt engineering, and a lot of refactoring.

I run a local tree service business - I climb trees and use chainsaws all day - and build web applications, mostly Next.js and Vercel-based PWAs so far. Spent the last decade doing SEO and video marketing which helps a lot when launching small web projects.

• ai-toolshed — A small collection of AI utilities, demos, and playground code I build while experimenting with new models and prompts.
• claude-h1ve — Public template. Proprietary work split into public and private versions as I figure out what helps people and where to put value. "H1ve" is like the name implies. It's a system that acts as a hive mind for all machines you own and use LLMs on so they're all in sync at all times.
• tahoegpt — An assistant/project for local knowledge and task automation around Tahoe-related info and workflows. Built it for a friend who owns a Tahoe. The model learns about and remembers every detail about the truck as time goes on. It will say "it's probably the alternator since you already replaced the battery some weeks ago."
• gemini-core-skills — Core skillset and examples for integrating with Gemini-like assistants. Deprecated since Google sunsetted gemini cli (RIP).
• opend-ai — Uncensored model using a claude-code style UI. Core API / service integrations and reference implementations for the OpenD projects.
• opend-cli — Command-line tooling to interact with opend-ai services and local workflows.
• kenowheel — Keno wheeling tool built and deployed. Wanted to know if AI can even help with gambling...it can.
• USS Omaha — Took a basic PowerPoint I was given, built an interactive, functional webpage for a client. Complete with an "admin command center" page only they have access to where they can edit, remove, or add anything to the site using a simplified UI instead of raw code (and to keep it completely transparent they can toggle "god mode" to see and interact with raw code).
• Omaha Tree Care — My tree service company's site (Midwest Roots Tree Services). Built it after realizing GoDaddy's site builder was SEO poison. It's actually how I learned how to use IDEs, GitHub, etc (as starter projects go). That was about a year ago. Now the site functions as a collection of very expansive tools for homeowners that allow them to understand when and when not to hire a pro, how much they'd be looking at spending, identify species and that species info breakdown, common tree issues and ailments by species for our state (NE), and a hazard assessment tool using 4-5 multiple choice questions to guage the severity and urgency of their tree care needs.

More tools/projects always in the works.

• Spent years on pentesting and security testing—learned by doing, mostly wrong.
• Built HTML sites for my dad's clients when I was a kid. Stopped coding for a long time.
• Came back to it through LLMs about a year ago, decided to learn the actual concepts and understand the fundamentals/philosophies so I'm not just letting AI carry me.
• Built entire AI systems, but my biggest projects got ahead of me and I didn't even know what I was adding or changing anymore. Took 6 months to learn the concepts properly, now I'm rebuilding the architecture more deliberately.

I can make things but I have no idea how to actually get them in front of people or make money off them. Most things I give away as it's just as much a goal to contribute if I can as well as possibly build toward something sustainable.

• Monetizing products that people actually want
• Selling and marketing online - I know SEO, but I don't know how to sell myself or my work
• How to position a product so it doesn't die the moment I stop building it

This is the issue for me right now. I can make things and I want to make a living doing so but have no idea how.
