Summary

Clarifies the public Homebrew tap copy so external SEC API users see the product name, CLI purpose, and service-status discovery path consistently. No release artifact, formula URL, or checksum changes are included.

Scope

  • Formula/secapi.rb - Main secapi formula
  • Formula/ - Other formula additions / updates
  • README.md - Tap usage docs
  • .github/ - CI/CD workflows / brew-test-bot config

Changes

  • Formula: updates the Homebrew formula description from generic SEC filings wording to explicit SEC API CLI wording.
  • README: introduces SEC API before the CLI install instructions.
  • README: adds service status beside docs, pricing, support, and issue-reporting links.

Verification

ruby -c Formula/secapi.rb # passed
git diff --check # passed
  • GPT-5.6 Terra Medium produced the copy.
  • GPT-5.5 High adversarial review passed after batch review and verified formula checksum.
  • GitHub check secapi formula completed with conclusion SUCCESS on 2026-07-22.

Completion Attestation

  • 100% complete, 100% functional. Formula audits, installs, and tests pass. End users can brew install secapi and run the CLI successfully. No outstanding work remains.
  • Not fully complete or functional. Deltas listed below.

Deltas (only if attesting incomplete)

None.

Agent Context

Key files to read first:

  • Formula/secapi.rb
  • README.md

Decisions made:

  • Kept this to public discovery copy only; no formula version, URL, dependency, caveat, or checksum change.

Relevant docs:

Conventions applied:

  • Public-facing copy should name SEC API directly and include docs, pricing, status, support, and issue-reporting discovery paths.
