What

task_images(task_id, version=, include_scopes=) in agent_env.bundle.importer returns the images import_task writes for a stored task, each once, in the order the import reaches them. It downloads nothing. It runs the import's own walk with no destination, so its list is exactly the set image_refs accepts.

Its use: an export that names a task's images by their copies in another registry has to push them first. It lists them, pushes each one, and calls import_task(..., image_refs=...) with the digests it pushed. Only the second call downloads anything. When the walk already finds the task can't be written, such as an image stored only as a tarball under a bare name, task_images raises the same BundleError the import would, so the export refuses before it pushes anything.

Testing

  • A task naming one image from two envs and a registry image lists each image once, with no object downloaded. Refs for exactly that list import cleanly.
  • An unwritable task raises before any download.
  • tst/unit/bundle and tst/unit/cli pass (1569), and lint is clean.

Summary

…wnloading nothing

An export that names a task's images by their copies in another registry has to push them before
it imports the task with image_refs. task_images(task_id, version=, include_scopes=) runs the
import's walk with no destination and returns each image a folder would name, once, in the order
the import reaches them, without downloading anything; it raises the import's BundleError when the
walk already finds the task can't be written, so an export refuses before pushing.
