setup.sh already exports com.apple.symbolichotkeys to macos/symbolichotkeys.plist and imports it back on restore, but the exported plist itself was never committed, so a fresh machine had nothing to restore from. Mark *.plist as binary in .gitattributes so the `* text=auto` rule can never line-ending normalize it, and ignore *.log to keep stray tool logs out of the tree. Summary
setup.shalready knows aboutmacos/symbolichotkeys.pliston both sides of the round trip:setup.sh:181—defaults export com.apple.symbolichotkeys "$SHORTCUTS_PLIST"(and prints "commit it")setup.sh:185—defaults import com.apple.symbolichotkeys "$SHORTCUTS_PLIST"…but the exported plist was never actually committed, so a fresh machine had nothing to restore from. This adds it.
Contents are just disabled Apple symbolic hotkeys — no secrets or personal paths.
Also included
.gitattributes—*.plist binary. The existing* text=autorelies on Git's binary heuristic to avoid line-ending normalization on the bplist. The heuristic gets it right today (the file has NUL bytes), but an explicit rule makes it a guarantee rather than a detection outcome..gitignore—*.log, to keep stray tool logs (anexcalidraw.logfrom an MCP server had landed in the tree) out of the repo.Test plan
