Summary

• add a reusable github-pages-academic-portfolio skill covering evidence-safe content, design systems, accessibility, SEO, validation, and pull-request delivery
• add deterministic portfolio-structure and WCAG contrast-checking scripts
• introduce a site-wide academic palette using deep navy, accessible blue, research teal, restrained gold, and explicit dark-mode tokens
• replace the default homepage with a responsive academic hero, current appointment, technical focus, research principles, and clear calls to action
• bring Research, Projects, CV, and Contact into the same visual system without changing their stable URLs
• improve navigation targets, keyboard focus, reduced-motion behavior, reading width, mobile layouts, cards, buttons, and the natural footer
• trigger the deployment workflow for future SCSS-only changes

Academic and content rationale

The hierarchy leads with Sabuj's current University of Turku Project Researcher appointment and MSc Data Analytics studies, then presents research direction, methodological practice, projects, CV evidence, and contact paths. Existing evidence-backed project and CV content is preserved.

The Ruby/Jekyll toolchain is unavailable in the local workspace, so the pull-request production build is the authoritative rendering gate and must pass before merge.

Maintenance note

assets/css/main.scss is a narrow local override of the al-folio core entrypoint solely to append _sass/_academic.scss. Future al-folio upgrades should compare that entrypoint with the pinned theme version.

Rollback

Revert the merge commit to restore the previous layout and theme styling.
