Rosé Pine Userstyles

All natural pine, faux fur and a bit of soho vibes for the classy minimalist

Getting started

Installation Guide

Step 1: Install the Stylus Extension

First, you need to install the Stylus extension for your browser:

After installation, you should see the Stylus icon in your browser's toolbar.

Step 2: Choose a Userstyle to Install

Browse the Userstyles section below to find the website you want to theme. Each userstyle has its own folder with installation instructions.

Step 3: Install the Userstyle

There are two ways to install a userstyle:

Method 1: Using the "Stylus Install" Button (Recommended)

  1. Navigate to the userstyle's folder (e.g., styles/github/ for GitHub).
  2. On the userstyle's readme page, you'll see a purple "stylus install" badge button near the top.
  3. Click this button. It will automatically open the Stylus installation page.

Method 2: Using the Raw File Link

  1. Navigate to the userstyle's folder (e.g., styles/github/ for GitHub).
  2. Click on the rose-pine.user.less file.
  3. Click the "Raw" button in the top-right corner of the file view.
  4. This will open the raw file URL, which Stylus will automatically detect.

Step 4: Configure and Install in Stylus

When you click the install button or raw link, Stylus will open a new page showing:

  • The style code (you don't need to edit this)
  • Configuration options (if available) - you can customize:
    • Theme variant (Rosé Pine, Rosé Pine Moon, or Rosé Pine Dawn)
    • Accent color
    • Other style-specific options
  • An "Install style" button in the top-left corner
  1. Configure your preferences (optional): Adjust any settings you want to change using the dropdown menus and options at the top of the page.
  2. Click "Install style": This button is located in the top-left corner of the Stylus page. After clicking, the style will be installed and active!

Step 5: Verify Installation

After installation, visit the website you themed (e.g., github.com if you installed the GitHub userstyle). You should see the Rosé Pine theme applied automatically.

Troubleshooting
  • The style isn't working: Make sure Stylus is enabled and the style is turned on. Click the Stylus icon in your toolbar and verify the style is listed and enabled.
  • Stylus didn't open automatically: Make sure you have the Stylus extension installed and enabled. Try clicking the raw file link again.
  • Can't find the install button: The "Install style" button is in the top-left corner of the Stylus editor page. If you don't see it, make sure you're viewing the raw file (the URL should contain /raw/).
  • Need to update a style: Styles update automatically if you installed from the raw GitHub link. Otherwise, you can manually update by reinstalling the style.
Installing Multiple Userstyles

To install all userstyles at once, visit the releases page and follow the instructions there.

Additional Notes

Some userstyles may require extra configuration steps to work correctly. Always check the individual userstyle's readme page (in each style's folder) for any additional setup instructions or special requirements.
