Not as bad as I thought regarding how much "bulk" it would add to that section.

Do you happen to know if this information is documented externally? Maintaining this many distro-specific instructions in a troubleshooting section of the readme doesn't sound ideal, especially since most people won't need to use this and it adds quite a bit of bulk. (I'd put it in a <details> tag so it can be collapsed, but it's still a lot of information)

Ah sorry, maybe I got your previous question on the other pull request wrong.

No, I'm not aware of this information being anywhere else. At least not easily discoverable.
As I mentioned in other PR, the only reason I found this approach in the first place (re other PR) is via this link: https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/498652/does-x-window-have-a-maximum-number-limit-on-clients

The information for this PR was literally something I came up by trial-and-error running each of those distros in a VM and trying to apply the original approach re other PR.

I agree that it's kinda out of place to go into this much detail in the README for something this specific for multiple distros.

So if you think putting it into a <details> tag makes it bearable to have it here, then feel free to do so.
If you think this just doesn't fit here, then let's just forget about this PR.
Apart from that, I'm not sure where else this could go. A random gist?
