DemarcheOS is built as a set of independently deployable microservices — intake, routing, escalation, and audit — communicating over a hardened internal event bus with full message replay capability. Demarche records and treaty obligation mappings are persisted in MongoDB, chosen for its document model flexibility across heterogeneous bilateral agreement structures. Session state and real-time desk officer presence are handled by Redis, which also serves as the long-term audit log store for compliance purposes. Every service boundary is contract-tested, every deployment is immutable, and nothing touches production without a signed artifact.
