BlogNest - A Blogging WebApp

Overview

BlogNest is a blogging web application built using the Django framework. It allows users to create, edit, delete, and manage blogs with a proper authentication and security layer. The application also tracks blog views and interactions while ensuring a seamless user experience with a beautifully designed UI.

Installation & Setup

  1. Clone the Repository

    git clone https://github.com/your-username/blognest.git
    cd blognest
  2. Create a Virtual Environment and Activate It

    python -m venv venv
    source venv/bin/activate  # On Windows use `venv\Scripts\activate`
  3. Install Dependencies

    pip install -r requirements.txt
  4. Apply Migrations

    python manage.py migrate
  5. Create a Superuser (For Admin Panel)

    python manage.py createsuperuser

    Follow the prompts to set up an admin user.

  6. Run the Development Server

    python manage.py runserver

    Access the application at http://127.0.0.1:8000/.

Usage

  • Users can register and log in to manage their blogs.
  • Authenticated users can create, edit, and delete blogs.
  • Blogs display a view count and user engagement.
  • Admin users can manage all blog posts from the Django admin panel.
