This is a working version of the plugin that I use for myself. In my process, I scan in papers to PDF that end up in my "Scans" folder in Obsidian, then this modified version of the plugin allows it to move the PDF into the "Scans/_attachments" folder when the metadata note file is created. It was the one key feature that was missing when I started my Evernote to Obsidian journey and had to replicate the process I had with Evernote to do so with Obsidian.

Hello @willjasen !

I'm getting the following error when trying to install your fork using BRAT

Also, can this plugin be used "on demand" on specific files instead of automatically detecting all attachments?

Hi @Bakr-Ali !

You should now be able to install this plugin via BRAT, however, in my isolated testing environment, the attachment to note conversion process isn't working as expected. I will review soon to correct. My local code stash is working for me, but it's been a while since I've reviewed the plugin and it probably needs a few more tests.

Right now, the plugin can't be used on a specific attachment, it is dependent on attachments being within a watched folder. I'll work to add this.

Thanks very much for looking into it!

It's worth noting that the plugin doesn't recognize the pdf copied into the folder until the app is restarted.

Oh, didn't realize that until now. That's actually quite sufficient for most use cases so don't waste time on it.
