1. Added type hints #8285 expanded the _Tile extents type hint to allow for None. This uses None in more locations for the extents, to simplify code, and setting None as the default.
2. Allow None extents in C setimage() #9504 allowed None to be accepted as extents consistently by setimage(). This builds on that by having it consistently use None as the default extents value, also simplifying Python code.
