… non-vacuous The padded fixture routed to gitleaks generic-api-key, not stripe, making the regression assertion trivially true. Real WorkOS keys are key_+26-char ULID = 30 bytes = 40 unpadded base64 chars, which gitleaks does flag as stripe. Add a recognize-package guard proving the collision is real so the test can't silently go vacuous.

The ssh_private_key module fingerprinted keys but explicitly punted on whether a
key works anywhere ("needs a login attempt (excluded)"). Since a key%s #1 use is
git remotes, add a --live probe: attempt SSH auth as git@ to GitHub/GitLab/
Bitbucket and report which accept it and as whom (deploy keys read "owner/repo").
A user key that authenticates flags git push access (read private source + push
commits = supply-chain risk). Read-only auth test, no repo writes; dials via the
metadata guard; locked/encrypted keys still defer. Tested against an in-process
SSH server + banner-parse unit tests.
