Prynix

A community for teen developers who want to build real things.

About

Prynix is a community, not a company. We're a group of teen and student developers, mostly based in Nepal, who like building things together instead of learning alone. Prasoon Kandel started Prynix on June 27, 2025. Membership isn't limited to Nepal, either. People from anywhere are welcome to join.

The idea behind Prynix is simple. A lot of us already know how to code, but don't have people around to build real projects with, get feedback from, or team up with for hackathons and game jams. Prynix is that space. Less tutorials, more shipping.

We call our members Prynix Devs. One member is a Prynix Dev, a group of them are Prynix Devs. That's just what we call each other here, whether you're brand new or have been coding for years.

What We Build

We work across web development, Python, C++, JavaScript, AI/ML, data science, and some Arduino and electronics on the side.

The projects below are just a small selection of projects created within or around Prynix. They are not a complete list of everything our members work on. Many members also have their own personal and independent projects outside of Prynix.

Project Description Stack
Corpse_Climber A puzzle-platformer built for the Daydream game jam. Placed 2nd in the theming category. C# (Unity)
discordbot Our Discord bot with AI chat, moderation, and utility commands. Python
Underneath A 2D puzzle platformer built by a few Prynix developers. C# (Unity)
CSS-Essentials A learning resource created for an advanced CSS workshop. HTML
polygon A small 3D web experiment made for a workshop. JavaScript

These are only a few examples of what has been built through Prynix. Our members also work on many personal projects, experiments, and other work that is separate from Prynix.

You can find the source for these and other projects in the Prynix GitHub org.

Founding Team

The people who helped start and build Prynix from its early days:

Name Role GitHub
Prasoon Kandel Founder & Lead @prasoonkandel
Pratik Chalise Founding Member @pratikchalise
Aayush Parajuli (also known as Hexagrim) Founding Member & Technical Lead @hexagrim

A small clarification

Prasoon Kandel founded Prynix. Pratik Chalise and Aayush Parajuli joined during its early stages and became part of the founding team. They are referred to as founding members rather than co-founders.

Getting Involved

There are two ways to be part of Prynix, and they're not the same thing.

  • Apply to become an official Prynix Dev. It's free. Apply here.
  • Join the Discord. This is more casual. You can hang out, ask questions, and see what people are working on without applying. Join here.

Being in the Discord doesn't automatically make you a Prynix Dev. If you want to actually join, use the application link above.

Prynix Hack Club

We're also connected to Hack Club, the global nonprofit for teenage developers. Our local chapter is run casually by a small group of Prynix Devs, around 8 to 10 people, based in Butwal. There are just a handful of people keeping it running

Prynix Hack Club membership and Prynix membership are separate. If Prynix Hack Club is closed at some point, that doesn't affect whether you can still apply to become a Prynix Dev.

FAQ

Is Prynix a company? No. It's a community. No product, no investors, nobody's on payroll.

Who's in charge? Prasoon Kandel founded Prynix and leads it. Pratik serves as Co-Lead and Aayush as Technical Lead..

Do I need to already know how to code? There's no official requirement posted anywhere saying you do. Beginners are welcome.

Does it cost anything to join? No. Official membership is free.

How do I actually join? Fill out the application at prynix.fillout.com/apply. Joining the Discord is a separate, more casual thing.

Is this only for people in Nepal? No. Prynix itself is based in Nepal, but people from other countries can be part of the community. The Butwal-only part applies specifically to the Hack Club group, not Prynix as a whole.

What's the difference between Prynix and Prynix Hack Club? Prynix is the whole community. Prynix Hack Club is a smaller, separate thing connected to it as well as affiliated with Hack Club, ran casually by a few Prynix Devs from Butwal. Being in one doesn't automatically mean you're in the other. Meanwhile Hack Club is a way bigger teen-community that empowers teen developers.

Community

Prynix is a community, not a company. Built by teens, for teens who want to build.
