Summary

  • Split packaging/entry points into a thin :androidApp (com.android.application) so :app can be a classic com.android.library under AGP 9.
  • This is the smaller first chunk toward KMP / Compose Multiplatform (issue Feature idea: Compose Multiplatform / shared multi-platform UI #105); no KMP conversion yet — that can follow in a later PR.
  • Keep share/quick-search aliases correct with runtime packageName, add static locales_config after the module split, and point CI/README at androidApp:assembleDebug.

Test plan

  • ./gradlew androidApp:assembleDebug / assembleRelease
  • Cold start on emulator (MainActivity; Koin + Room)
  • Magnet open / share / process-text aliases (including debug .debug suffix)
  • Settings version row + log export
  • Per-app language picker (locales_config)
  • GitHub Actions debug build artifact path

Match the existing per-module /build gitignore used by :app.

AGP 9 needs a separate application module before :app can become a KMP library later; keep packaging, Manifest, and entry points in :androidApp while :app remains a classic library for now.

Library BuildConfig no longer reflects applicationIdSuffix, so share/quick-search toggles take the installed package name and the crash handler stops encoding APPLICATION_ID into the extra key.

assembleDebug now lives on the thin application module after the library split.
