Summary

Publishes a documentation-only patch prerelease, vrp-gpu 0.1.1-alpha, so the crate's own README and package description on crates.io reflect the already-published alpha. The release includes the post-publication README update from PR #16 and does not change Rust source, dependencies, algorithms, or PTX behavior.

Changes

• Advance the workspace and public package to 0.1.1-alpha with a synchronized lockfile.
• Point the packaged README and installation examples at the new published-version URL and clarify the package description: CPU 2-opt plus optional CUDA move evaluation, not a claimed end-to-end speedup.
• Add a dated documentation-only changelog entry and make the release checklist applicable to subsequent releases.

Verification

• just ci passed: formatting, all-feature checks, strict Clippy, unit tests, README doctests, rustdoc, package verification, and cargo-deny.
• CPU-only workspace tests and the Rust 1.88 all-feature check passed.
• just kernel-ci passed.
• All seven ignored GPU hardware tests passed on the accessible NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti.
• Clean-tree cargo package --list --locked contains the expected 15 files, including LICENSE, README.md, and kernel.ptx.
• cargo publish -p vrp-gpu --locked --registry crates-io --dry-run passed without uploading.
• Rust source and kernel.ptx are unchanged from v0.1.0-alpha.1; git diff --check passed. All three commits have valid GPG signatures and DCO trailers.

Release procedure

Merge this branch into main with a merge commit after remote CI, publish the exact verified tree to crates.io, then create the signed v0.1.1-alpha tag and GitHub prerelease. Back-merge the release metadata into develop afterward.
