Senior Principal Software Engineer & Tech Lead at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. I work on distributed systems and multicloud database infrastructure, helping deliver Oracle Database@Google Cloud.

Before Oracle, I built optimization, logistics, and scheduling software for industrial clients, including a distributed optimization backend that reduced product losses by 56%. I enjoy turning complex problems into software people can rely on, and helping other engineers do the same.

Earlier, at Redbanc, a financial technology company operating Chile's interbank ATM network and payment infrastructure, I combined software engineering with operational leadership.

I use Claude Code, Codex, and other AI agents to plan, build, and review software. I'm interested in how to make that work repeatable: clear requirements, focused changes, and tests and reviews that show the result is ready to ship.

I started programming in Pascal, which happens to be my son's name, too. Originally from Punta Arenas, in Chilean Patagonia, I now live in the United States. Husband to Harper and dad to Pascal.
