Pitch

SweepAware is an solution anyone in the City of San Diego can use to get an SMS text alert the day before their scheduled streetsweeping is to take place.

Goal

• Prototype goal: web map user can enter address or drop pin indicating their location and cell phone number to receive text messages
• Secondary goal: a method for city staff to select areas on a map or via database that will not be swept. An SMS message can then be sent indicating cars will not be ticketed.
• Tertiary goal: a map indicating streets that have been swept in the last X number of days.

• Streets data from SanGIS (polygons)

• Geolocation interface on mobile device
