An assembler of the mips language , you write the assmebly code in the editor , it assembles it and run it on mips processor using the modelsim program. it shows the content of the memory of a typical mips microprocessor, also it has benifits for testing if the code is working.
To insure that testcases part of the programe is working you should have modelsim installed and working on your machine.
