Installer: "Node.js processes are still running" dialog exceeds screen height and cannot be dismissed

Description

During the installation of nvm-windows, I used all the default installation options.

At one point, the installer displayed a dialog saying:

These Node.js processes are still running and can block shim updates:

There are many processes listed in the dialog. As a result, the dialog becomes taller than the screen.

The bottom part of the dialog is outside the visible screen area, so I cannot see or access any buttons that may exist at the bottom of the dialog.

Additionally, clicking the X button in the top-right corner does not solve the problem. After closing the dialog, it appears again repeatedly.

The only way I found to exit this state was to terminate the nvm-windows installer process itself.

Steps to reproduce

1. Start the nvm-windows installer.
2. Use the default options throughout the installation.
3. Have a relatively large number of processes detected as Node.js-related processes.
4. Continue the installation until the "These Node.js processes are still running and can block shim updates" dialog appears.

Actual behavior

• The dialog height grows according to the number of detected processes.
• When many processes are detected, the dialog extends beyond the bottom of the screen.
• Any controls/buttons at the bottom of the dialog become inaccessible.
• Clicking the window's X button closes the dialog temporarily, but it immediately/repeatedly appears again.
• The installer effectively becomes impossible to exit normally.
• I had to kill the installer process manually.

Expected behavior

The dialog should remain within the usable screen area regardless of how many processes are detected.

For example:

• The process list could be displayed inside a scrollable area.
• The dialog could have a fixed/max height based on the screen size.
• Action buttons such as Continue / Retry / Cancel should always remain visible.
• Closing the dialog with the X button should not result in an endless loop of the same dialog.

The process list is long enough that the bottom of the dialog is completely outside the visible screen area.

Environment

• OS: Windows 25H2
• nvm-windows version: NVM for Windows v2.0.1-hotfix.1
• Installer: nvm-2.0.1-hotfix.1-amd64-setup.exe
• Installation options: All default options

Additional information: the uninstall process has a similar UI issue as well.

When uninstalling nvm-windows, a different dialog appears with the message:

Close these NVM processes before uninstall can continue:

When many processes are listed, the dialog becomes taller than the available screen height, so the bottom part of the window and its controls are not accessible.

More importantly, the dialog cannot be dismissed normally. If I click the X button in the top-right corner, the dialog closes but immediately appears again.

This repeats indefinitely, so the only way I can close it is by using Task Manager to terminate the process manually.
