The transcript only stored what was said: assistant text, the tool calls the model requested and the results those calls returned. The live UI also shows a collapsed activity block with the model's thinking, the tool calls and how long the turn took, and that data was lost when a session was reopened. Capture it instead. A new activity module records the thinking segments, per-call timings and dispatched sub-agents of a turn; the agent hands the result to Done and the API/TUI attach it to the message that closes the turn. Sessions persist the blob and the session level todo list, so a reopened session can be rebuilt exactly as it was shown live. The activity never reaches the model: backends build their payload field by field, so the extra Message field is invisible to the provider.
