I am a recent graduate of Data Science for Public Policy (2023-2025) at the Hertie School, Berlin, Germany. Originally from Kathmandu, Nepal, I'm currently based in Berlin.
I work at the intersection of data science, social media, politics, and public policy. I'm passionate about combining computer science and engineering methods with social science research to explore political virality, disinformation, populism, and hate speech.
Non-Profit Work: (Jan 2026 - Current)
- Computational Social Science Researcher at Logiq Media (Jan 2026 (volunteer), Feb 2026 - present (contract)) — A Berlin-based non-profit helping governments and civil society address polarization, disinformation, and populism.
- Currently working on a project related to disinformation called SHIFT(Shaping Informed Frameworks for Trust) under European Narrative Observatory.
- Co-authored and implemented zero-shot stance classification to analyze comparative fact-checking echo-chambers on social platforms across 10+ platforms (Currently under review at Harvard Kennedy School, HKS Misinformation Review)
Research:
- Consulted and provided pei.centre with computational analysis of Nepalese Gen-Z mobilization on several social media platforms (Facebook, TikTok and Reddit) (methods: hashtag-coccurence, Time series analysis, Network Analysis) [Apr 2026 - May 2026]. Currently collaborating on qualitative digital ethnography piece.
- Volunteer Researcher with Prof. Dilrukshi Gamage on the South Asia Deepfake Detection project (Nov 2025 - Feb 2026)
- Weekly participant in Data Lunch Seminar with The Open Institute for Social Science — exploring Bayesian Statistics using Richard McElreath's Statistical Rethinking (Nov 2025 - Feb 2026)
- Presentation: Turkey Computational Social Sciences Conference (TCSS), Koç University, Istanbul | April 24-25, 2026
- Poster Presentations (2025): * SICSS (Saarbrücken)
- Conference: SSaLM: Social Science and Language Models Conference, Weizenbaum Institute | 2025
