fix(root): the new package meets the conventions the docs gate holds every package to - #1828
Conversation
…every package to `main` is red on `check:docs-claims`, and both findings are mine from the change that added `@nextlyhq/plugin-mcp`: - the root README lists every published package and did not list this one; - a published package's README carries a Related packages section and this one had none. Also records the package's README as a page the samples gate protects. That gate and the package landed in separate pull requests that were open at the same time, so the baseline was written before this README existed on `main` and the page arrived unrecorded — which the gate reported as more samples being checked than it holds, and which left the page free to be deleted again without anything noticing. And drops `@nextlyhq/eslint-plugin` from the first-publish acknowledgements. It has published real versions, so the entry no longer does anything except obscure which packages still need one, and preflight names it on every run. The release is still blocked, deliberately, and this change does not unblock it: `@nextlyhq/plugin-mcp` carries only its bootstrap placeholder, and the acknowledgement recording that a maintainer attached its Trusted Publisher is not something this or any other automated step can supply.

npm exposes no way to read whether a Trusted Publisher is attached, and a publish without one answers a 404 indistinguishable from the package not existing — so this file holds a maintainer's confirmation rather than anything a check could derive. Confirmed for @nextlyhq/plugin-mcp; preflight goes from refusing to `Ready to publish`.
…t will do The root README's package table is where a reader CHOOSES a plugin, and its row described this one as exposing schema and content over MCP. That is what the package is for and not what it does: this release serves no endpoint, so the table sent someone to install a package that does nothing and gave them no way to know before they did. Corrected in the three other places carrying the same present-tense claim, rather than only the line that was reported. The npm `description` is what a search result shows and what `npm view` prints, and the first real publish is imminent; the admin description is what an operator reads in the plugins list; and the package README's opening sentence promised the capability two lines above the paragraph explaining that it is not there yet. The README was the least wrong of the four, since its next paragraph corrected it immediately. It is still the wrong order to put a claim before its retraction when a reader may stop after the first sentence.

Add a changeset for the published metadata change
This changes mcpPlugin().admin.description, which is user-visible runtime metadata shipped in the npm package, so the PR is not docs-only; however, the commit adds or edits no .changeset/*.md file. Add one patch changeset covering the complete published lockstep group so the Version PR records this package change.

mainis red and both findings are minecheck:docs-claimsfails onmain. Reproduced locally ata320ba1f1ratherthan read off the CI log:
Both are conventions this repository holds every published package to, and both
were missed by the change that added
@nextlyhq/plugin-mcp. Fixed; the checkexits 0.
A gap between two of my own pull requests
packages/plugin-mcp/README.mdwas not in the doc-samples baseline, and thereason is worth recording rather than just correcting. #1825 taught that gate to
read package READMEs and #1817 added this package; both were open at the same
time, so #1825's baseline was written against a
mainwhere this README did notexist. They merged within a minute of each other and the page arrived
unrecorded.
The gate said so plainly — "more samples are being checked than the baseline
records, which is good news it has not been told" — and named the consequence:
until recorded, the page can be deleted again for free. Coverage goes 69 pages /
388 samples to 70 / 389.
A stale acknowledgement
@nextlyhq/eslint-pluginhas published real versions, so its entry infirst-publish-acknowledged.jsonno longer does anything except obscure whichpackages still need one. Preflight names it on every run and asks for its
removal; removed.
What this does NOT do
The release train is blocked and this change deliberately leaves it blocked:
@nextlyhq/plugin-mcp@0.0.0is on npm, placeholder only. What clears the blockis the acknowledgement that a maintainer attached its Trusted Publisher, and
that is not something this or any other automated step can supply: npm exposes
no way to read it, and a publish without one answers a 404 indistinguishable
from the package not existing. Adding the entry on an assumption converts a gate
that aborts safely into one that reaches that 404 after the other twenty
packages are already live.
The entry goes in here once the Trusted Publisher is confirmed.
Evidence
check:docs-claims,check:doc-samples,check-comment-conventionandpnpm test:scripts(1356 passed) all exit 0;fallow:auditpasses with zerointroduced findings.
release:preflightstill exits 1, for the one reasonabove.
