Nat Hollander's Digital Preservation & Archival Systems Portfolio

Welcome to my professional portfolio repository. I am a current Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) student specializing in archives, preservation, and community-centered digital stewardship.

Focus: Audiovisual metadata creation and technical description using PBCore.

Workflow demonstrates:

  • Creating item records and applying Dublin Core metadata to archival digital objects
  • Organizing digital materials into collections and constructing a public-facing digital exhibit
  • Documenting the relationship between archival materials, digital surrogates, and interpretive storytelling

Southern California Lesbian Archives Project (SCLAP)

Focus: Digital public history, metadata design, and community-centered digital collections development using Omeka S.

SCLAP is a digital public history project documenting Southern California lesbian histories through archival research, structured metadata, controlled vocabularies, and place-based discovery.

Workflow demonstrates:

  • Designing Omeka S Resource Templates for digital objects, people, organizations, and historic community spaces
  • Applying Dublin Core metadata standards within a digital collections environment
